******The deadline date for submitting the materials for registration for ICDC to NJ DECA is a package post-marked by March 22, 2013.

However, drops and adds must be determined quickly. By March 8th

it is the chapter advisor’s responsibility to contact the NJ DECA office

to indicate which students will or will not compete at the conference. If there is no communication with the NJ DECA office via mail, fax or

e-mail by March 8th

, it will be assumed that the chapter advisor and students are not attending the conference and that the students have given

NATIONAL

CONFERENCE

up their spaces to compete at ICDC to the next eligible competitors. Regarding students who quality to compete in two events, the decision as

to which event they choose to compete in at ICDC must be made by March 6th

in an email to the state advisor so that the next competitor can

be moved into the vacant slot. If it is not done by this deadline, the state advisor will place the student in the manual event and offer the other

event slot to the next student in line.
