Most people have been waiting years and years for God to heal them of disease.

To them, it appears like God isn’t listening.

Has that happened to you?

You might think God’s mad at you. And then you see somebody get born again

from across town on the wrong side of the tracks. They get delivered from addictions

and healed of 14 different diseases. You’re amazed and dismayed at the same time.

Why them and not me, Lord?

Is it possible that God’s people don’t understand how God thinks?

It might seem like God is hiding things from you. Yet, God wants you healed. It’s

taught in the Bible.

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even

as thy soul prospereth. 3 John 2

It says “beloved,” so I guess He is talking about us. God wants His beloved children

whole and to prosper spiritually, emotionally, and physically. So why isn’t everybody

getting healed? In fact, less than 5% of Christians are being healed of incurable disease.

Wait. Aren’t we taught in the Bible that God is the one who heals all of our diseases?

Let me show you what I see in the Bible about disease.

I began ministering in the early 80s and I saw in the Word that it was God’s will that

you be healed. In the 103rd Psalm, it says that He is the Lord that forgives you of all of

your iniquities and He heals you of all of your diseases.

Repentance comes before healingNow what precedes the healing of all diseases? Your repentance and God’s forgiveness.

I have been observing a phenomenon in Christianity that we are administering healing,

we are fasting and praying, anointing with oil, laying on of hands, and exercising all the

gifts—and yet we’re not seeing the healing. Do you think God still forgives sin? Oh yes. It says

so. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us of all

unrighteousness.

And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 5:23

Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Psalm 103:3

…I am the Lord that healeth thee. Exodus 15:26

If that is the case, then which is easier to say, thy sins be forgiven or pick up your

bed and walk?

Who has made it harder to be forgiven than healed?

We have.

Positive confession of healing doesn’t work. It has been tried in Christianity from

one end of the earth to the other. At some point, positive confession becomes a form of

insanity: doing the same things over and over again but expecting different results.

When I began this journey of praying for people to be healed in the name of Jesus,

the results were amazing. Then about six or seven months into it, the well dried up and

maybe only 5% were being healed. I finally had enough sense to talk to God in prayer.

I said, “Okay, what gives? I loved what You did in Your name through me and it was

wonderful. Why isn’t it happening now? Do I have some tragic sin that I’m not aware of?

What’s going on?”

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk? Mark 2:9

As I began to talk to God about this problem, these words started to form. He said

this to me:

Henry, for the past seven months, I haven’t sent you the first

person to be healed: the devil has.”

I said, “Excuse me, is that the devil talking to me? These are

God’s people! These are blood-bought, covenant, Bible-thumping

saints.”

He replied, “They may be Bible-thumping saints, but I’m not

their Lord.”

I said, “What do you mean, You’re not their Lord?”

He said, “They may say they’re Christians and I’m in covenant

with them, but they’re not in covenant with Me.”

“Do you mean the devil has sent them to me?” I asked.

He said, “Yes, Henry. Just because they use My name doesn’t

mean they obey My Word.”

I repeated, “The devil has sent Your people to me?”

“Uh-huh.”

“

“But I don’t know how to tell the difference between a sinning

saint and a sanctified saint.”

He said, “Easy. The ones that I healed lined up with Me. The

ones that didn’t line up with Me have an issue in their life. In that

area, I’m not Lord and the disease is the proof of that.”

I said, “You’d better be able to show that to me in the Bible if

You’re the LORD.

God began to take me on a journey that required a change in my understanding.

Sometimes what we believe and what we’ve been taught doesn’t match what the Bible

says. You have to change your thinking to match the Word of God.

”

I reserve the right to be wrong.

I reserve the right to changeas God gives me clear understanding.

Isn’t that what life is all about?

I wasn’t interested in preaching a 5% gospel when it came to healing, because

that’s a 95% failure. Can you hope for a healing in your life? Do you dare do that?

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for.

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.

Faith represents something for the future—and faith also represents hearing God

more clearly in what He said. It’s a progressive journey of applying what we understand.

Hearing God and knowing how He thinks is having the mind of Christ.

I began in ministry when prayer was not working. It’s not that God doesn’t hear the

prayers, but could there be something in our lives separating us from God?

God is not the author of confusion, and He is not double minded. God is not a man

that He should lie, nor the son of man that He should repent. He is a God of truth.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17

For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. 1 Corinthians 14:33

God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? Numbers 23:19

There are a lot of people all over the planet who are well today because they have

become doers of the Word of God. I have seen people healed yet nobody has

prayed for them! That can be you—if you simply line up with the way God thinks.

Become like Him and do what He says.

Do you want health and healing?

Then be a doer of the Word:Repent for your sin issues

and God will hear you.

God will forgive you your sins.God will heal your diseases.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

The kingdom of God is neither meat nor drink but it is righteousness and peace and

joy in the Holy Ghost.

Righteousness is a first principle of the kingdom of God! If you want wholeness and

healing, you must be a mirror image of the invisible God—not in word and in deed, but

in heart.

It’s not what you say; it’s who you are.

God doesn’t “save” people only to leave them stranded. He saves us so that we can

be changed into what heaven looks like! Then we become sons and daughters of the

Father. We begin to think like He thinks, talk like He talks and act like He acts. Isn’t that

the highest form of sanity?

If we could ever grasp that we are sons and daughters, maybe we could get

somewhere!

For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. Romans 14:17

Second Timothy 2:24-26 is addressed to born-again believers:

24And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to

teach, patient, 25In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure

will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; 26And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are

taken captive by him at his will. 2 Timothy 2:24-26

Why should we repent? We repent so that we may recover ourselves from the

snare of the devil, having been taken captive by the devil at the devil’s will.

Sin has consequences

Do you think there’s a consequence when a believer participates in the nature of

Satan? This is not only about cheating on your spouse…or having an addiction…

or lying to the IRS. This is about things like not forgiving people, gossip, and being

afraid.

Behind 80% of all disease is a possible spiritual root with corresponding

psychological and biological manifestations.

• Fear produces asthma, allergies

• Envy brings osteoporosis and tooth decay

• Resentment lays the groundwork for cancer

• Self-Hatred is behind addictions

• Guilt over a conflict causes migraines

• Self-Pity can produce depression

• Fear of failure is behind acid reflux

These are the possible spiritual roots to disease!

Have you put away every evil thing from your life?

Or does your life still contain aspects of Satan’s nature?

Sometimes we are ignorant

I have found the Christian church, of which I’m a member, to be incredibly ignorant at

certain levels. We are ever learning, but sometimes, unable to come to the knowledge

of the truth—not always able to be a doer of the Word.

God’s people have gone into captivity because they have no knowledge. And hell

hath enlarged herself and opened her mouth without measure and great and famous

men are swallowed up into it.

Have you ever observed a great man or woman of God dying prematurely? I do not

mean they lost their salvation. No, I wouldn’t dare say that; I’m not God. But I will say

this, what hell represented gobbled them up.

Our leaders are as goofy as we are! Do any of us have a heart to change? I think it’s

important that our leaders are transparent. That way we can have the faith to grow and

quit pretending.

Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 2 Timothy 3:7

Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst. Isaiah 5:13

We’ve looked to our spiritual leaders in their greatness,

but in their greatness they were really

just normal people who had issues.

Sometimes we don’t understand sin

Do you think fear is sin? Romans 14 says that whatever is not of faith is sin. Sin of any

kind separates us from God.

All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

If God has not given you the spirit of fear but power, love, and a sound mind, and

you allow fear to rule your life, do you think that is falling short of His plan? Then it’s sin.

Falling short of God’s plan and His goodness is sin.

Sin causes disease.

We can repent for sin and be healed of disease.

…for whatsoever is not of faith is sin. Romans 14:23

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 3:23

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7

3. Disease is the Enemy’s Plan for your Life

In many circles of Christianity, we’re taught when we’re born again we have arrived—

100% sinless. Then we have to act a certain way to look like we’re perfect, but we

have not been transformed. Why? Because we carry with us much of the garbage

that we had in the world.

1. We still resent our mothers-in-law

2. We still have pastor-phobia

3. We still have envy and jealousy

4. We still have performance and perfectionism

5. We still care too much about what people think

We are still are bound by elements of the fallen nature that we’re not supposed to

be practicing as a way of life. So if from glory to glory we are being changed into His

image, do we need to deal with some things? Any time we fall short of His image and

we practice sin we open ourselves up to God’s enemy and the enemy’s “blessing,” which

is disease.

But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. 2 Corinthians 3:18

You MUST take responsibility for sin

There’s a teaching that says ‘when you’re born again, you never again have to repent

for sin.’ It says that repentance negates grace and mercy. I don’t agree with that.

I think it’s a scary doctrine. I think we must always take responsibility for transgressing

the nature of God in our lives.

What do you think?

There is a pathway of disease that involves spirit, soul, and body. And as I began

to go before God way back in the early 80s, I realized that Satan had a legal right to

believers’ lives if they practiced unrighteousness.

• If God wants your nature to be His nature, and God is love, then who should you

be? Love.

• If God’s nature is forgiveness, what should our nature be? Forgiveness.

• If God’s nature is patience, what should our nature be? Patience.

When you read the fruits of the Holy Spirit in Galatians 5, those are nine attributes of

God’s nature that should be your nature as a work of the Holy Spirit.

There is no law against these things—but disease is against God’s law.

22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23

4. Disease is Against God’s Law

When Jesus was in His hour of temptation in the garden of Gethsemane, we are told

the evil one—who is Satan—came to Jesus. But he found nothing within Jesus

that he could connect with. There was nothing in Jesus that would cause Him to disobey

His Father. There was no law that could bind Jesus. That gave Him the power to endure

the cross for you and me.

Are we that squeaky clean?

If you are applying truth and allowing the Holy Spirit to form you,

there is no law of disease that can bind you.

If you are allowing the Holy Spirit to form you, and you are walking out of unrighteous ways,

Satan’s law of disease is broken.

Deuteronomy 7 says if you will hear His commandments, do His commandments

and keep His commandments, He’ll put none of the diseases of Egypt upon you but

shall put them upon those that hate you.

Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me. John 14:30

And the LORD will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them upon all them that hate thee. Deuteronomy 7:15

5. God’s Perfect Will is that You DON’T GET SICK

Have you ever noticed that the people in church have the same diseases as the

people outside the church? The Bible is very clear. God’s perfect will is not to heal

you—but that you don’t get sick with incurable diseases, chronic illness or infections.

There are infirmities that are common to man—such as a simple cold or flu—but the

Lord delivers us out of them all. Paul talks about “often infirmities” in 1 Timothy 5:23.

These are in the earth because of bacterium and other aspects of Adam’s fall, and do

not necessarily have a spiritual root. What we are talking about here is disease and other

chronic illnesses rooted in fear, anxiety and stress that weaken the immune system.

God’s perfect will is that you refuse to participate in the disobedience that opens the

door to this kind of disease. His perfect will is that you don’t need prayer for healing,

because you haven’t come under the hand of the enemy.

Instead of disease, you’re living with blessings because of your obedience!

And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 5:23

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Hebrews 13:8

For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. Malachi 3:6

Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

Psalm 34:19

Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach’s sake and thine often infirmities.

1 Timothy 5:23

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. Matthew 5:17

Holiness is as valid today as it was in the Old Testament. Jesus is the same yesterday,

today, and forever. He says, “I change not.” His nature has never changed. The diseases

that came on God’s people out of their disobedience are the same diseases believers are

experiencing today.

Peace doesn’t come from a drug

Peace doesn’t come from Prozac. It doesn’t come from Zoloft. It doesn’t come from

Paxil. Peace comes from God.

Anti-anxiety drugs are given to people who are afraid of other people. The Bible

says, “Fear not what man can do unto you, but put your trust in the Lord.” Fear is a sin

that we have become one with as if it were just common to us.

The sin of fear causes a neurotransmitter imbalance. Most diseases are the result

of imbalances because we don’t know how to take our thoughts captive and to line

them up with the Word of God. There is a connection between what you think, your

spirituality, and your health. If your spirituality doesn’t match the peace of God from

heaven, then you have disease at your door.

6The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?

8It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. Psalm 118:6, 8

Disease is not an accident

Eighty percent of all incurable disease has a possible spiritual root—everything from

high blood pressure to asthma to congestive heart failure. I have made a pragmatic

observation from years of taking care of thousands and thousands of people, my

study of the psychiatric and medical community, and the Word of God. And this is my

conclusion: disease is not an accident.

Disease Profiles

High blood pressure—The medical community calls it a stress disorder. High blood

pressure is the result of disobeying one scripture: Take no thought for tomorrow.

The evil of today is sufficient of itself. Be anxious for nothing; in all things give thanks, for

this is the will of God.

Asthma is caused by fear of abandonment.

Mitral valve prolapse is a stress disorder.

Heart attacks and angina are caused by fear. The Bible says in the last days men’s

hearts will fail them because of fear.

Atrial fibrillation and arrhythmias are all caused by some specific unresolved fear,

anxiety, and stress issue.

Reflux and irritable bowel syndrome and leaky gut syndrome and

malabsorption and ulcerative colitis are all expressions biologically of a problem of

some unresolved fear, anxiety, and stress issue.

Allergies are an expression of fear. If Satan can get you in fear, he can cause cortisol

to be released in your immune system. Proverbs 17:22 says, A merry heart doeth good

like a medicine but a broken spirit drieth up the bones.

Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Matthew 6:34

Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. Luke 21:26

The marrow of your bones is where your immune system is created. Feeling safe

and nurtured leads to healthy bone marrow. Fear destroys your immune system with

excessive cortisol. It causes seasonal allergies, food allergies, and reactions to the

environment.

Not feeling safe with God, yourself, and others causes allergies. Yet the Word of God

says that He will never leave you or forsake you.

He is the God that supplies all your needs. That should be enough for us!

Osteoporosis is a result of not looking to God to meet your needs. In this battle of

acceptance, this battle of being loved, we’re comparing ourselves to others. We have envy

and jealousy—which is covetousness. We have made people and things our idols. The Bible

says that envy is the rottenness of the bones.

A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones. Proverbs 17:22

A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones. Proverbs 14:30

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Hebrews 13:5

Autoimmune diseases like MS (Multiple Sclerosis), Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus,

Crohn’s disease, Diabetes I, Hodgkin’s Disease, Leukemia, and Irritable Bowel

Syndrome (IBS).

Where do these come from? First John 4:18 says, “There is no fear in love.”

If you haven’t been loved perfectly, beginning in childhood, fear comes. That

includes fear of rejection, fear of failure, fear of abandonment, fear of man, being driven,

being a perfectionist. Why? In order to receive love.

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. 1 John 4:18

Do you want to be healed of an autoimmune disorder?

Let the love of your Daddy in heaven get into your heart.

When He says you are loved, believe it. Repent for your unbelief and begin to thank Him.

What are you doing with your knowledge of God?

Satan is a master of deception. He is an intelligent ex-archangel. He knows the Word

of God better than any Christian on this planet. He also knows your biology. Satan

knows if he can capture your spirituality and get you to dwell on his mind, which is not the

mind of Christ, then he can program your psychology through long-term memory and

bring disease.

All he has to do is get you to meditate on things that are not of the kingdom of God.

That’s why the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 10:5 to hold every thought captive, and cast

down every imagination, every high and lofty thing that would exalt itself against the

knowledge of God.

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 2 Corinthians 10:5

And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, Revelation 12:7

God the Father is love. He gave His only begotten Son to save you.

Jesus came to show you the Father; He represents a sound mind—

He is the Word of the Father.

The Holy Spirit is the power of God.

God has not given you the spirit of fear, but power, love, and a sound mind. There

are three members of the Godhead represented in this one scripture.

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. 1 John 4:18

The antidote to fear is fellowship with the Holy Ghost, fellowship with the Father,

and fellowship with His Son. That means if you have a broken relationship in some area,

you are listening to fear. There is no fear in love. Perfect love casts out fear, because fear

has torment.

The antidote to fear is fellowship

I’ve learned something about the human soul, that when you meditate on something

long enough, it becomes permanently part of your biology through a process called

protein synthesis—using an element of RNA. That thought, which you meditate on

over and over again, now becomes flesh to your flesh.

The Word of God was supposed to be flesh to your flesh. But what if fear has

programmed you to be afraid of tomorrow? What if you have a fear of relationships?

What if you don’t want to be vulnerable? What if you say “I’m not going to let myself be

vulnerable because I don’t want to be hurt again”?

Satan is a master of destroying creation, with your permission. Through one man’s

disobedience, sin entered into the world and death by sin.

Through one man’s obedience, the man Christ Jesus, sin was defeated. But that

doesn’t mean you’ve been obedient in Him. You’re not righteous by association. You’re

righteous because you apply what He did at the cross in your life.

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Romans 5:12

For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. Romans 5:19

If you will go to your Father and ask Him, He will show you

the un-perfected areas of your life.

Tell Him you want to walk out of the kingdom of Satan

with its law of curses and disease.

Tell your Father you’re ready for His kingdom:

for righteousness, peace, and joy. For healing and restoration!
