Present membership
5. When considering document EUR/RC43/Inf.Doc./l and adopting resolution EUR/RC43/R6, the Regional Committee at its forty-third session recognized the importance of selecting members of the SCRC who not only have a high level of competence in and knowledge of public health but also are available for and committed to the work of the SCRC. It also agreed that there should be a balance among members in terms of individual qualities, skills, competence and experience, as well as equitable geographical distribution between larger and smaller countries.
6 . It will be recalled that the terms of office of members from Bulgaria, Kazakhstan and Portugal will expire at the forty-eighth session of the Regional Committee.
