Tuesday 3/24: Home Assignments These activities should be completed on the Seesaw App. Students will log on via the home learning codes. If you are unable to access this app, please complete these activities using the My Fundations Journal and Math packet previously sent home! Fundations: 10 minutes Unit 8: Blends - Assigned on Seesaw. If seesaw is unavailable, students should tap and blend each word out loud. In their Fundations Journals, write the sounds they heard to spell the words. Then, try their best to code the words (look for: blends, digraphs, bonus letters, and closed syllables). In each writing, please include capitals/punctuation, spell words / word parts you know correctly, use best handwriting, and include a detailed sketch! Time allowing, reread your work and add colors to sketches, as appropriate. Prompts Assigned on Seesaw. If Seesaw is unavailable, please complete in My Fundations Journal. Include more than one sentence and an illustration. Read your writing aloud when you are finished!

Writing Prompt: What do you think is the best sport?

Write your opinion and provide reasons to support it. Don’t forget an introduction and conclusion. Try using the words “I think” and “because” in your writing. Aim to make this writing 4 or more sentences long!

Math: 30 minutes- Problem of the day – Assigned on Seesaw. Complete task in My

Fundations Journal if Seesaw is unavailable: Copy the equations into your Fundations Journal or paper.

If Seesaw is unavailable, look at the images along the bottom of the image below. Decide if each item has sound energy. If it does draw its picture in your Fundations journal. Then, pick two items you decided have sound energy and write a sentence for each to explain why you picked it!

If unable to complete on Seesaw, please look at the picture below and discuss what you notice? What season is it? What do you see? What do you hear? What do you smell? What do you feel?

Then, on a piece of 8x10 paper folded into 4 boxes or in your Fundations Journal, identify what season you think it is and write or draw about what you see, hear, smell, feel.
