his loving family.Born in Canisteo, April 24,

1927, the son of Ervy and GraceSchoonover Stuart,he was a life-long area resident. Wayne hadserved in the US Army during theKorean Conflict, and retired fromthe Erie, Erie Lackawanna, andConrail railroad as an engineer in1990. He was a member of theHornellsville Lodge #44 F & AM,the Hornell Elks, the HornellAmerican Legion, and a chartermember of the Almond LionsClub, where he received theprestigious Melvin Jones Award,

and was Lion of the year in1994, Wayne also enjoyed hunt-ing, and fishing.

He was predeceased by hisparents, and 2 brothers Ervy Stu-art Jr, and Ernest Jake Stuart.

He is survived by his wife Mar-ilyn Recktenwald Stuart whomhe married May 29, 1954, adaughter Nancy (Clair) Mallory ofAlmond, 3 sons Richard (Pamela)Stuart of Almond, Robert Stuartof Almond, and Thomas Stuartof Almond, 9 grandchildren and5 great grandchildren, severalnieces, and nephews.

Following the deathof her husband she attended St.James School of Nursing andcompleted her RN in 1975 retir-ing in 1997 from Bethesda Hos-

pital and Mercy Care. She was amember of the United MethodistChurch of Hornell, where shehadtaught SundaySchool for 35years, was LayLeader and partic-ipated in the Womens Society.

She was predeceased by herhusband, Anthony J. Camp in

1972; her son, John Camp in2003; a sister, Lucy White; andbrother, Paul Yannie.

She is survived by two daugh-ters, Elizabeth (Paul) King ofCincinnati, Joanna (Edmund)Hofmann of Queens; a son,Thomas (Toni) Camp of Spring,Texas; four sisters, Mary Mitchellof Coudersport, Leona Shaver ofBath, Josephine (Paul) Corey ofCoudersport, Ann (Robert) Longof Coudersport; a brother, Larry(Beth) Yannie of Charlotte, N.C.;nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

The American Red Cross and its volunteers

work every day to help save lives or

rebuild lives that have been shattered by

disaster whether it is down the street,

The Red Cross responded following the

Haiti earthquake in January, working to

turn despair into hope. The Red Cross is

there in Haiti now and we are also here

each day for families who need us.

Red Cross Month is a great time for people

to get involved with the Red Cross, such as

donating blood; signing up for a CPR, first

aid or another Red Cross course; giving a

financial gift that can save the day when

the next disaster strikes, or gettin

involved as a volunteer.

In the past year, the Greater Steube
