    2. The qualitative requirement (QR) for enrolment into aforequoted trades

    Radio Mechanic (RM) Matric w ith English. Mathematics andScience with Physics.

    Vehicle Mechanic (MV) Matric with English. Mathematics and

    (b) Age - Between 18 to 23 years as on 1st Aug 2010 Upperage limit is relaxable by 3 years in OBC and 5 years in SC/ST Candidates.

    (c) Age limit for Ex-servicemen - Calculation of upper age limit.-

    (Actual age minus (Service plus 3 year) should be withinthe upper age limit of 23, 26 and 28 years of group C as on1st Aug 2010.

    3. Physical Standard

    (a) Height - Minimum height of candidates falling in the categories of

    Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras. Marathas and candidates belonging

    to the states of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura,

    Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir and Leh & Ladakh

    regions of J&K will be 165 cms. The minimum height for all candidatesbelonging to Scheduled Tribes will be 162.5 cms.

    (b) Chest - The minimum chest of candidates falling in the categories of

    Garhwalis, Kumaonis. Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging

    to the states of Sikkim. Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura,

    Mizoram, Meghaiaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir and Leh & Ladakh

    regions of J&K will be 78 cms. (minimum 5 cms expansion). The minimum

    chest for all candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes will be 76 cms

    (minimum 5 cms expansion)

    (c) Others - 170 cms (Height), 80-85 cms (Chest), Weight according to

    height and age.

    4. Physical Efficiency Test

    (a) 5 K m run - Ca ndi da tes to q ual ify with in 24 mi nute s.

    (b) 11 ft long jump - Candidates to qualify in min 3 chances.

    (c) 3 1/2

    f t high jump - Candidates to qualify in min 3 chances.

    (d) No physical efficiency test will be held for Ex-servicemen.However

    Ex-servicemen will be required to pass the requisite med examination.

    5. Written Test - The written test will consist of only OMR based

    objective type multiple choice questions to be answered using a

    pen. The question paper should be of 100 marks.

    6. Pay Scale - Pay scale and other allowance will be as admissible to

    Central Para Military Forces.

    7. Merit List and Call up for Training - The candidates who qualify in all

    respects will be placed in merit list depending upon the vacancies

    available Call-up instruction to join the Training Centre for enrolment

    will be issued on the basis of Merit List.

    8. How to Apply - The rally will be conducted through new application

    system. Candidates shall forward their applications as per the

    following format given at Appx B alongwith a Demand Draft for

    Rupees fifty only (applicable to General and OBC candidates only)

    in favour of the DIRECTORATE GENERAL ASSAM RIFLES on SBI

    DGAR, Shillong, Code No. 7338 to enable us to issue of call letters

    so as to reach DGAR on or before 20 Mar 2010 on undermentioned

    address. SC and ST candidates are exemptedfrom application fee

    No cash/postal order will be accepted :-

    9. Guide lines for forwarding of applications :-

    (a) SBI demand draft should be of respective location/city of the

    candidates.

    (b) Bank demand draft issued by other than SBI as well as postal orders

    will not be accepted.

    (c) Only computerised application (A4 size Photostat paper) as per

    format given duly prepared in computer, and signed by the

    candidates, will be accepted.

    (d) Photographs and other supporting/educational documents are not

    required to be submitted alongwith the application.

    10. Date of reporting All eligible male candidates of respective states

    shall report to the presiding officer of the rally at Charduar (Assam)

    on 05 May 2010 at 0500hr. for the recruitment rally, alongwith all the

    requisite documents.

An Army Recruitment Rally for Soldier Technical and SoldierNursing Assistant category is being planned to be organized byArmy Recruiting Office, Cuttack for all thirty (30) Districts of Orissaat Police Ground, Cuttack with effect from 05 February to 06February 2010 from 0500 hours to onwards.2. Assistance requested from the District Administration /DistrictPolice, Cuttack (Orissa) during the conduct of the RecruitmentRally are as follows :-(a) Rall y S ite - Police Ground. Cuttack on 05 and 06 Feb 10

    for carrying out physical measurement test and documentschecking of candidates.

    (b) Accommodation - 02 x AC and 03 x Non AC Room forOfficers at Circuit House wef 04 Feb to 07 Feb 10.

    (c) Medical Cover - Doctor with Ambulance required at 0600hours on 05 Feb and 06 Feb 2010 at Rally site.

    (d) Drinking Water - Two water tankers required to providedrinking water to the candidates at Rally site and documen-tation site.

    (d) PA equipment - Under the control of respective DistrictEmployment Officer or his staff.

    Security Arrangements :-3. The following additional security assistance from the Districtadministration/District Police Cuttack (Orissa) are required for safeconduct of the recruitment rally as per programmed given at Para2 above :-(a) District Police be requested to make elaborate security andtraffic arrangements for the safe and peaceful conduct of theRecruitment Rally at rally site.(b) From experience it is seen that a large number of candidatesturn up at the rally site during the initial stage of the RecruitmentRally. It is therefore requested that a Police force of sufficientstrength be provided and deployed at the Rally sites for the initialperiod of physical measurement test and documents check ie on05 and 06 February 2010 at Police Ground, Cuttack. Since thecandidates start gathering at the rally site one day prior to theregistration, it is therefore requested that the police force be sta-tioned at the above Rally site before start of the rally in the morningfrom 0500 hours onward.(c) It is also requested that a SDM may please be deputed as anoverall co-ordinator for security arrangement in liason with theArmy,authorities at the Recruitment Rally site and to keep a closewatch to monitor the situation by frequent visits to the Rally site. Itis also requested that the Magistrate / SDM and the Police Officer-in-Charge so deputed be requested to station themselves at thesite of Recruitment Rally.(d) It is requested that a public address system be installed at theRally sites for announcement purpose.4.     9. The mere fact that a candidate has submitted the application against the advertisement and

    apparently fulfilling the criteria as prescribed in the advertisement would not bestow on him/her the

    right to be definitely called for interview/ considered further for selection process.

    10. Any proceeding in respect of any matter of claim or dispute arising out of this advertisement and / or

    an application in response thereto can be instituted only in Delhi and courts / tribunals / forums at

    Delhi only shall have sole and exclusive jurisdiction to try any such cause / dispute.

    HOW TO APPLY

    Interested eligible candidates should log on to our website: http://ntpc.timesjobs.com or carriers with us

    section of www.ntpc.co.in for applying. No other means / mode of application shall be accepted. Candidates

    are required to possess a valid email ID. NTPC will not be responsible for bouncing back of any email sent

    to the candidates. Last date for online registration of applications is 8th February, 2010. An eligible

    candidate can apply for more than one post /level in an area, if he/she may be suitable for more than one

    post/lavel/area. An application fee of Rs. 200/- for each post/level applied for, is payable by the candidates

    belonging to GEN/OBC categories. On submission of a valid application online, a registration ID will be

    generated. Instruction for candidates belonging to GEN/OBC categories: Download the registration ID slip

    and send it compulsorily alongwith Application fee of Rg. 200/- [through DD in favour of NTPC Limited

    payable at New Delhi]. Application Fee of Rs. 200/- can also be submitted online through credit card at the

    time of online application. Instruction for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD categories; Download the

    registration ID slip and send it compulsorily along with a copy of SC/ST/PWD certificate. Registration ID

    along with enclosures as above to be sent by post to:Post Bag No. 004,NTPC Limited, Recruitment Group,

    Lodhi Road Head P.O., New Delhi-110003. The name and the registration ID should be mentioned at the

    back of the Demand Draft or SC/ST/PWD certificate as applicable. The Advertisement No. (01/10) and the

    post applied for should be super-scribed on the left hand corner of the envelope.

    The last date for rereipt of registration slip by post along with DD/Certificates (as applicable) is 15th
