4 Look at the pictures at the end of the sentences. Then complete the sentences with adjectives from exercise 3.

1 For the rest of the week, the weather will be clear and .

2 Today will be warm but at the seaside.

3 It will be very this weekend so drink plenty of water.

4 Expect it to be in the hills.

5 It will be in the morning but clear in the afternoon.

6 Tomorrow will be but there will be no snow.

7 Be careful as the mornings will be .

8 It will be warm during the day but in the evening.

Queenstown, New Zealand

August is the middle of the skiing season, so it’s snowy and cold. The skies are usually sunny and bright but dress warmly, especially on frosty mornings. And drive carefully if it’s foggy!

Tokyo, Japan

August is very hot and humid so you will sweat! Take lots of light clothing. The skies are generally sunny and clear so you’ll have no trouble enjoying Tokyo’s many sights.

Vancouver, Canada

Temperatures are usually 15 to 23°C and it’s sometimes rainy. It can be a little breezy near the sea, and cool in the North Shore mountains in the evening. If you’re hiking, take a sweater or light jacket.
