magazine front cover I selected a magazine cover off the internet and I tried to create the same lay out I just changed the images and colour scheme. I tried my best to select fonts that matched the posted I picked.

• I used a variety of tools to create this magazine front cover for example I used the magic wand to cut out the man fishing and over lay the writing, this is done because the magazine is such a well known magazine that people don’t need to see the full label because the audience will see the magazine and recognize it with out been able to see the masthead.

• I have also added in a date, price and barcode this is a very common convention for a magazine you can see when it came out incase you were looking for something. It is mostly found at the bottom of the magazine.

• The magazine that I picked to try and replicate has a man holding a fish that he has caught as the main image this shows the audience what the magazine is about. Where as the magazine cover that I have produced has a silhouette as the main image this then allows the audience to imagine them self's there fishing themselves and it also makes the audience question what is he could to catch.

REFLECTION What elements of your experiments will you

include in your final product? The elements I will include from my experiment into

my final product will be, how I plan my layout making sure that all the fonts are in size of order in importance, that the masthead is in the right place, I will make sure that I include all common conventions in my magazine e.g. masthead, main image, sub heading, buzz words, plug, date and price and more. By adding in all of these conventions it will look more professional, will fit in the magazine genre and the audience will recognize it for what it is.
