We are very much appreciative of the support of the Washington County Arts Council. Their grant of funds has made the exhibit at the county Library possible, as well as the financial gifts to the winners of the exhibit.
The C.C.S.C. is very grateful to the R.O.C. group and the C.A.P. Jaycees for their financial support of our efforts towards the MCI-H men throughout the year. Thank you for all you do for us.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBE~ 30, 1987
Let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us; and establish thou the work of our hands upon us. Psalm 90:17
, Jesus parable about the mustard seed brings to mind the idea of change. When looking at a small seed, one cannot always imagine the plant that seed will become. Sometime* 'a seed germinates so slowly that no signs of life are visible for a long time. Faith enables us to be patient while the seed sprouts and ·the plant grows.
Five years ago. I became a Christian. Shortly after that. I was divorced. Although my life was filled with uncertainties. I felt inner peace.
Financial troubles followed. and I changed my occupation. At the age of 35, I started a career in journalism. Learning a new profession has not been easy. I have learned almost everything by trial and error, and progress at times seems so slow as to be almostlWnvisible. ...
But looking back one year, I ca~see a steady improvement. At times my problems have been almost overwhelming. But what is sur_sing is how patient I haloAbecome. Daily prayer and e..le rea~g help me to cope with p~ems one day at a time. T~ assurance I find in God's word strengthens me to preserve.
PRA YER Loving God, thank You for Your abundant grace and mercies that are new each day. Help us to keep growing. Amen.

BLACK NATIONAL ANTHEM
LIFT EVERY VOICE AND SING By James Weldon Johnson
Lift every voice and sing, 'Til earth and Heaven ring, Ring with the harmonies of Liberty; Let our rejoicing rise High as the listening skies, Let it resound, lqud.as the rolling sea. Sing a song full of the faith that the dark past has taught us, Sing a song full of the hope that the present has brought us; Facing the rising sun of our new day begun, Let us march on 'til victory is won.
Stony the road we trod, Bitter the chastening rod, Felt in the days when hope unborn had died; Yet with a steady beat, Have not our weary feet,
Come to the place for which our fathers sighed' We have come over a way that with tears has been watered, We have come treading out path thro' the blood of the slaughtered; Out of the gloomy past, 'Til now we stand at last
Where the white gleam of our bright star is cast.
God of our weary years, God of our silent tears, Thou who hast brought us thus far on the way; Thou who hast by Thy might, Led us into the light,
Keep us forever in the path we pray.
Let our feet stray from the places, our God where we met Thee, Lest our hearts, drunk with the wine of the world, we forgel Thee; Shadowed beneath Thy hand may we forever stand, True to our God, true to our Native Land.

I'd Ilalher Walk by Faith
Sometimes a 10llely Toad I tread, Sometimes the path is "ough;
Bl:.t I'd rathel' walk along by faith, To me this is enough.
I'd rather walk along by faith Though othe/'swalk by sight;

I'd rather walk alollg by faith, No dangers lurk ahead,.
And those who tmvel in His step.~ Have naught 0/ harm to dread.

., LOCAL MINISTRIES
I have continued my ministry with several young men in our local Lebanon prison. ~ Levack struggles with many "strongholds" in his life as does Tom Albright. Sometim~s"~ seems they are growing in the Lord and at other times one wonders. Pray for real victory in their lives. Scott Disgdiert got out but I understand he has been in trouble. I was working with Greg Kohr also, but do not see much growth in his life. Working with these men is sometimes discouraging. Pray that God will break through in their lives mightily.
FAMILY NEWS
Julie continues part time at a Nursing facility. I am so thankful for her support and the privilege of serving the Lord together. My Dad, Rowland Miller, is in poor health and finds it hard to get around these days. Dan is in the 11th grade and is still working through some things in his life. Please pray for him. Debi lost her child. They are considering selling and building in a better location. Tim is manager of several prima-care clinics in the Dallas-Fort Worth areas. Kari is expecting. Miriam and Brian are experiencing some real difficulties with some relatives of Brian's who have mo. ved in with them. Pray for this situation. It, really great to have Julie's Mom, Vi Minter, with us for 2 months recently. She is alwa great blessing and challenge to all of us. Our dog Honey keeps tabs on the comins' and g . of all of us.
IRIAN JAYA
The Griffiths continue to translate the Old Testament into Hatam. The Kennedys continue the training of Hatam church leaders. There are now 133 churches in the Hatam. Some of those in training have worked with the Moskona in the past and plan soon to start a Bible School for Moskona church leaders. There is still no translator for that language although Hatam missionaries continue to work in the tribe. The New Testament is being worked on in the Mairasi and the couple who was doing the translation of Scriptures in the Amberbaken is returning soon. I hear Hatam missionaries are still working in both of those tribes. Many, many changes are taking place in Irian, not the least of which is the influx of literally millions of people from other islands in Indonesia.

THE DATOOGA OF TANZr
As we mentioned in our last Miller's Milestones GFF has targeted a large tribe in the country of Tanzania, the Datooga, a tribe of perhaps 100,000 -150,000 people scattered over a wide area of the cou~ As far as we know there are no born a" Christians though there has been some contact with Christianity. Just recently some believers from GFF's national church in Tanzania have made contact with some Datoogas. Pray much for this outreach. We are praying very much that God will give us workers to go into this tribe, learn the language, win the people and plant churches among them. This will be very
difficult because the Datooga peoples are scattered over a wide area of the country (includ-ing the best known and most numerous sub- tribe of the Datooga, the pastoral Barabaig). Being cattle herders they are nomadic and move from place to place to find food and water for their animals. This will make it very difficult to reach them for Christ. BUT God is not willing that any should perish. Satan has no right to these people. Let us claim t Jesus Christ.
commitment to pray for the Datooga / Barabai g people until they are reached. We have formed a special mailing list of those who are praying. If you would like to be included please let us know. Those who are on this mailing list will receive up-to-date information when it is available.
There are other tremendous needs in Tanzania. GFF has also targeted the cities of Arusha, Kondoa, Dodoma and Singida. We would also like to make a survey to find other unreached tribes in the country. The following is a list of personnel we are praying for:
Two missionary units for church planting among the Datooga. One or two missionary units for church planting in each of the above mentioned
cities, total of 4-8 units. One missionary unit to teach in our Bible School in Tanzania.
We mentioned above our national and more are being started all the conference. Praise the Lord.
church in Tanzania. There are about 25 churches there time. Recently 496 made decisions for Christ at a youth
MANY BAPTIZED IN KENYA -Good reports have corne from Pastor John in Eldoret, Kenya. He and the men working_h him continue to plant churches in the Eldoret area. Recently they have made trips to"e far northwest into the Turkana area. Many have come to the Lord.
Here you see Pastor John baptizing some people in a cattle drinking place. This is a very needy area. Pastor John is asking GFF to send some missionaries to work with him in this area. Our prayer goal is for 2 missionary units to join Pastor John in the ministry there.
NAIROBI CENTER TURNED OVER TO NATIONAL CHURCH
GFF's goal has always been to work themselves out of a job. For this reason we have worked hard at the indigenous principles of church planting. The Nairobi Center is the Center of GFF's min-
tries in Kenya. It is there we have the Nairobi Bible Institute. We will now be working closely with our national brethren in the operation of the Bible School and possibly upgrading it to a 4 year degree granting program, which is their desire. For this ministry we arc praying that God will send us 2 or 3 missionary units to help in this ministry.
__ LOPEZ FAMILY JOINS GFF
e.F is now working in the country of Spain. Greg and Kathy Myers are already there, and now Joaquin and Paqui Lopez hope to join them as soon as they can get their support. This family is really precious. We would ask you to consider taking some of their support and most certainly pray for them. Spain is a country that desperately needs to be evangelized.
DOUG TRAVELING EXTENSIVELY
By the time you receive this I will be on my "spring" tours to various Christian schools recruiting workers for the ministries of GFF. The schedule, if I can keep
..... will take me over 6000 miles. I am not
.e my back or car can take that, but that IS in the Lord's hands. Those trips (to nine schools) will take me to MD, SC,FL, AL, GA, WV, MI, WI, MO, IL and OH between now and &middle of April. Please pray 1) for good contacts 2) for safety in travel, 3) for Julie, Dan ., my Dad while I am away. Most of all pray that I may be used of the Lord to stir up many to serve Him.
