PARENT HELPER MORNING TEA No school can function successfully without the support and enthusiasm of its parent community. In order to say, “Thank You” for everything that parents have done and in recognition of the support that’s been given to classes and the students of Pinewood PS during the 2018 school year, parent helpers are cordially invited to a special Parent Helpers’ Morning Tea. A special invitation from the school was sent home this week. Date: Tuesday 4th December Venue: Staffroom Time: 11:00 - 11:30 am

APPOINTING NEW STAFF The school leadership team and staff have been involved in appointing several new staff over the past few weeks to replace staff who are taking leave for 2019. I will be putting out the class teaching positions in the final newsletter of the term. Children will find out their teacher for 2019 in the last week of this term. Reports will be sent home on 20th December. Please notify the school office if your child will not be at school during the last week of term and will need to have their school report mailed home. We are unable to produce student reports before this scheduled time. ELECTION DAY BBQ Thank you to the Parents Club for organising a BBQ on Election Day ( 24th Nov.) and to the many parent helpers who gave up their time to assist with the cooking and selling of sausages on the day.

This weeks theme at OSHClub is all things summer!! This includes activities such as learning what it means to be sun smart, and creating our own beach paintings and summer hats. In the kitchen we are also making rice paper rolls to enjoy on those hot summer days. With only three weeks left until the end of the year we would just like to remind you that our January holiday program is now open to make bookings and is running from Monday 7th January- Friday 25th January 2019. We have an exciting and busy next few weeks ahead as we begin wrapping up for 2018. If there are any new or existing parents of OSHClub who have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact James or Maddie on 0409 906 462 Regards, James Eggleston & Madelene Saltis | Program Coordinators Pinewood Primary School OSHClub 27-35 Pinewood Dr, Mount Waverley VIC 3149 M: 0409 906 462 E: [email protected] W: www.oshclub.com.au
