The German System:Some Do‘s and Dont‘s in Education

Länder and Municipalities

Constitutionally, the 16 Länder are responsible for education, i.e. curricula, teacher training textbooks.

Municipalities are responsible for maintenance and equipment, i.e. ICT equipment, telephone bills...

Federal Level

Can help to diminish imbalances (f.x. in building and equipping universities)

Funds research and development in ICT May not fund school equipment, teacher training and educational content
