The sophisticated clamping system for 5-side

machining. High clamping force (up to 40 kN)

where it is needed, pull spindle directly underneath

the workpiece rest. No expanding of the jaws

under load, no deformation of the machine table.

Allows for high cutting forces thanks to the

extreme stiffness. The low clamping depth of 8

mm allows for a machining from 5 sides without

projecting. User-defined, large clamping width,

only limited by the size of the machine table.

Application

For unfinished parts, already machined parts, round

and uneven parts. Form-true clamping without

preembossing. 5AX100 can be mounted on T-slot

plates and tables, on perforated panels and on

other fixtures.

MAS Multiple Clamping Systems

!Type

The MAS multiple clamping system permits a large

variety of workpieces to be clamped on one pallet,

one plate or one machine table. Variable and

adapted for unit-by-unit expansion, modular system.

Set consisting of clamping rail, intermediate jaw,

stop jaw, Allen key and workpiece stops.

Repeatability accuracy +/- 0,005 mm.

Application

The basic elements (clamping rail, jaws and base

plate) are designed for highly versatile use and

adaptation to different workpiece sizes. The

clamping rail with jaws can also be mounted directly

on a pallet in compliance with DIN 55201 or on a

machine table. Optimum utilisation of the working

range of the machine is achieved by mounting

several clamping rails in the longitudinal or trans-

verse direction. Jaw positions can be stored using

the scale readings provided by a graduated rule on

the clamping rail.

Mechanical-hydraulic.Thanks to the revised power

intensification, only a minimum of cranking force is

necessary. An angle drive (see cat.-no. 27703)

facilitates application e.g. with lateral clamping on

the machine table. The optional presetting of the

clamping force (see cat.-no. 27705) allows for a 6-

step limitation of the maximum clamping force.

Application:

Quick advance of moving jaw to workpiece by

means of crank handle with coarse-pitch hollow

screw spindle. After workpiece contact: automatic

release of the inner thrust spindle. Turning the crank

further: infinitely building-up of clamping force to the

maximum. Releasing clamping pressure by turning

the crank into reverse direction.

Scope of supply:

Standard reversible jaws smooth/corrugated, hand

crank, operation manual.

Application

For tool and mould making, fixture construction and

production.

Clamping Force Preselection in 6 Steps

The preselection of the clamping force limits the

feed of the spindle and therefore the clamping power

can be set infinitely variable. The highest clamping

force is reached with step 6.

Safety advice:

The set clamping force must be high enough, so that

the machining forces will not move the workpiece.

The perfect component for efficient multi-clamping.

Single-ended spindle action and 3. Hand func-

tion allows for loading and unloading of the clam-

Changing jaws in seconds. Due to push-down effect

With clamping rail. The working range of NC

machines can be used more effectively when using

floating centre jaws for multiple clamping. Therefore,

tools have to be exchanged less frequently and the

. Standard Fixture Type BFS

HILMA-RÖMHELD BFS: The standard fixture

for many different parts. It is especially suited

for workpieces with complicated outlines.

Stop, rest, and clamping surfaces can be

milled directly into the aluminium jaws. The

third-hand function ensures safe and user-

friendly clamping and unclamping of many

parts in succession. The hold-down alumi-

nium jaws can be exchanged in seconds

without tools. The hold-down clamping

system is available as double or tower

clamping system, with jaw widths of 100 mm

or 150 mm. Even larger workpieces can be

clamped after the movable jaws is locked in

place and the centre fixed jaw is removed.
