Mr Cameron Odewahn and Mrs Stacee Bell volunteered their time to work with the students and explore the reserve after the recent rains. Many of the children are looking forward to canoeing on the swamp on Sunday afternoon. This should be a great opportunity to see the area at its best. Further details can be found in the latest addition of the ‘Walla Walla Hello Hello’ newsletter. Super 8 Cricket K-6 students will travel to Rand this Friday, where K-2 students will participate in a range of hands on Mathematics activities while the students in 3-6 will participate in Super 8 Cricket. We are still requiring some parent helpers to assist in managing and umpiring the games. The modified rules are to encourage fair play and fun for both experienced players and players that are new to the game. If you are planning to join us on Friday, please consider how you may be able to assist and please let the school know before Thursday. Missing just 8 days per term is equal to a whole year of learning by the time a student reaches Year 6. In order for students to maintain friendships, be confident in school routines, practice literacy and numeracy skills daily and consolidate their learning, students must have consistency in attendance. The Education Act of 1990 states that all students of school age must attend school each day that the school is open unless they are sick, are attending a medical appointment or have principal approval. A note explaining an absence is required by the school within 7 days of the student returning. Principal’s Message
