When the use of a structure is changed from a basic agricultural building to one of assembly, it must be designed by using sections taken from several codes. Students will learn what is required for special amusement buildings. Membrane structures are becoming more popular for sports venues. Building Inspectors will be responsible for the review for size of structure based on the type of materials and use. This class helps them understand everything needed to review to make sure a safe structure is built. Added for the student are aids to help to determine snow load compliance for structures: to help do deck reviews; and lastly, ways to determine a fi re rating of a structural assembly in an existing structure. 0.5 CEU

The registration fee is $249 per person for the full 2-day conference (September 8-10). The registration fee includes ANY AND ALL EVENTS you select on your registration form.

If this is not possible, you must bring cash or a personal check to be paid at Conference registration. Make check, money order, or voucher payable to Building Safety Conference of New Jersey. Confi rmations will be sent approximately 10 days before the conference. Bring your confi rmation with you to the registration booth to receive your conference packet which includes your activities, tickets, name badge, etc. If your fees have not been paid you will be directed to the problem registration area.

CONFERENCE REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Choose the seminar(s) you would like to attend from those listed in the brochure. Remember to select one seminar for each day you are attending the conference. We also request that you indicate a second choice since many classes fi ll up very quickly.
2. Complete the registration form, providing all information requested. Indicate your seminar choice(s) by marking an “A” (fi rst choice) and a “B” (second choice) for each day you attend the conference. If someone accompanying you will be registering under the spouse registration, please be certain to indicate this on the registration form.
3. Fill out all sections of the registration form and answer all the questions.
4. Payment must be made via check, money order, or voucher, and must be made payable to the Building Safety Conference of New Jersey.
Please note that a voucher will reserve your seminar space, but this offi ce MUST receive your payment prior to the conference.
