D307 NEW O BUILDING SUBCODE ASSORTMENT, INCLUDES SPECIAL AMUSEMENT USES, FARM BUILDINGS, MEMBRANE STRUCTURES, DECK REVIEWS, SNOW AND ARCHAIC FIRE RATINGSInstructor: Jack Boekhout Consulting, LLCCredit: building, fi re protectionCommercial farm buildings are now being put to use for special amusement, This class will help the Building Subcode/Inspector understand the modifi cations needed to maintain safety. When the use of a structure is changed from a basic agricultural building to one of assembly, it must be designed by using sections taken from several codes. Students will learn what is required for special amusement buildings. Membrane structures are becoming more popular for sports venues. Building Inspectors will be responsible for the review for size of structure based on the type of materials and use. This class helps them understand everything needed to review to make sure a safe structure is built. Added for the student are aids to help to determine snow load compliance for structures: to help do deck reviews; and lastly, ways to determine a fi re rating of a structural assembly in an existing structure. 0.5 CEU
