Year 9 Forensic Science

Year 9 Forensic Investigators joined forces with the local Police Crime Scene Unit to discuss and explore the real life application of CSI forensics. The students where most enthusiastic about the visit and listened attentively as the officers responded to the many questions from the floor.

This “real world’ look at forensics certainly opened the eyes of the students and possibly inspired some. Students loved the finger printing which were far superior to our efforts in class!

Year 11 Outdoor Education had a great time at Melbourne Cable Park, Knee boarding, wake boarding exploring the high ropes and learning all about man made vs natural environments. Awesome way to finish the week.

Year 12 Outdoor and Environmental students enjoyed their bike ride

around Point Nepean National Park where they studied past relationships with the environment including Indigenous and European Settlers.

Cleaning Up Hastings Year 9 students rolled up their sleeves to clean up parts of Hastings and our College grounds.

They did a great job and many of them signed up for the official Clean Up Australia Day which was fantastic!

Year 10’s Furniture and Design

Meet the next innovators in Furniture and Design!

Year 10 Product and Design students worked hard to put Ikea items together for our College Gallery. Gaining knowledge of design first hand and working out what to do with that one left over bolt!

Every year students create models of homes as part of their Indonesian studies. Second week back and look at what they've created.

The passion is certainly visible. Well done Year 8's!

'I am generation equality, realising woman's rights'

Principal Chris Quinn spoke at an International Women’s Day event at the Wallaroo Community Centre. Hosted by Rosie Silva (Family Life) and Melissa Rigby (Good Shepherd). The theme of IWD 2020 is Each for Equal, an equal world is an enabled world.

Individually, we're all responsible for our own thoughts and actions - all day, every day

We can actively choose to challenge stereotypes, fight bias, broaden perceptions, improve situations and celebrate women's achievements.

Collectively, each one of us can help create a gender equal world.
