Tauranga is New Zealand’s fifth largest city and the
economic hub of the Western Bay of Plenty region.

initiative by the University of Auckland and the

International students are required to have a valid student
visa during their stay in New Zealand. Once you have
received an Offer of Place from us and you have paid your
tuition fees, you should apply for a relevant student visa
from Immigration New Zealand office

The New Zealand Government requires all New Zealand
Qualifications Authority (NZQA) registered Private Training
Establishments to protect student fees paid to them in
advance. We are registered for Fee Protect through The
Public Trust, which has an unsecured capital guarantee

Pastoral care
Aspire2 International promotes the wellbeing of students
and supports them during their studies. We have agreed
to observe and be bound by the Code of Practice for the
Pastoral Care of International Students. Copies of the Code
are available on request from Aspire2 International or from
the NZQA website at www.nzqa.govt.nz. You should make
sure you have read and understood the Code.
Warnings
Formal warnings will be given to students who take part in:
poor attendance, academic misconduct, and behavioural
misconduct. All warnings will be recorded, and warnings
remain valid for the duration of the programme of study.
In cases of Academic Integrity or Behavioural Misconduct
where the violations are considered to be particularly
significant an immediate Final Warning can be issued, or
the matter can be immediately referred to the Disciplinary
Committee.
Student withdrawals and fee refunds
Our fee refund policy is in accordance with the Education
Act 1989 and amendments, and applies to international

Medical and travel insurance
International students must have appropriate and current
medical and travel insurance while studying in New
Zealand. It must include cover for student travel to and
from New Zealand for the duration of time that the student
is enrolled. We can arrange students’ insurance through
OrbitProtect
(for more information go to www.orbitprotect.co.nz).
Alternatively, students can arrange their own insurance, and
they must provide proof of suitable insurance at the time
of enrolment. Please contact Student Support for more

Most international students are not entitled to publicly
funded health services while in New Zealand. If you receive
medical treatment during your visit, you may be liable for
the full costs of that treatment. Full details on entitlements

www.moh.govt.nz
