An Important Word About BASS Parking!Parking at BASS is always limited. Taking public transportation (BART) is advised (see page 4). If you plan to drive to BASS, please follow these guidelines:

1. CARPOOL IF AT ALL POSSIBLE.

2. Parking is available in the two Redwood Chapel parking lots and in limited supply on the residential streets near the church.

3. When parking along the residential side streets, please make sure you are not blocking the driveway of any of our neighbors. We do not want your car to be towed away!

4. In the parking lots, always follow the instructions of the BASS parking lot attendants.

5. Keep the parking area closest to the sanctuary available for the handicapped.

6. The parking lot of Castro Valley High School is usually available on Saturday only.

Thank you for your help and cooperation in this matter.

Welcome to BASS 2020!BASS Attendees,

As leaders in Christian Churches all over Northern California God has given us a great opportunity to gather once again for the BASS Church Workers Convention, and we are so glad you’re here! The BASS Leadership Team has been anticipating this weekend and praying for all who are involved in this conference – attenders, exhibitors and presenters alike. Our primary aim is that absolutely everything we do – from workshops to our times of corporate worship, from setup to teardown – is done to the glory of God. Additionally, we aim to work hard and with joy to ensure that all who come to BASS have an amazing time of fellowship and growth and training in ministry as you are encouraged and fortified by the truth of the gospel.

We rejoice that this ministry has continued uninterrupted in Northern California for over 50 years. We look forward to hearing from Andrew McCourt, Curt Harlow, and Dr. Buckner as they lead our General Sessions, and trust that you will be blessed by the ministry of our workshop leaders this weekend. Don’t miss out on visiting our many faithful exhibitors who have joined us to equip you with resources that will help to support your church’s ministry. We invite you to make the most of this amazing weekend as we inspire, connect, equip, and train future generations of leaders in the church.

Please know that all of our volunteers are here to serve you in whatever way we can, and we thank you for being a part of BASS 2020!

WORSHIP ARTSD6 LED Lighting for Stage and Congregation 132 Michael DowMany church facilities have traditionally not been able to install proper stage or house lighting because of insufficient AC power in their facilities. But with the lower power draw of LED lighting this problem has almost disappeared. We’ll show you a variety of LED lighting fixtures and how each fixture type might be used. Lighting for your seating areas is also critical so we will show you some professional fixtures that can greatly enhance the worship experience. We’ll also explain the pitfalls of using “DJ” LED fixtures and detail why they are not the bargain they seem to be. Older traditional lighting consoles are insufficient to run most LED fixtures and therefore must be replaced. We’ll show you a reasonably priced and easy to use LED lighting console that will solve this problem.

How do you want others to perceive you? We’ll reflect individually on what our values are and how that affects us and others. You’ll leave with greater clarity on your values and what it means to live them out. You’ll also identify the behaviors that don’t bring out the best version of yourself and explore ways to avoid them.
