2020-2021
SUPERINTENDENT
PLANNING CALENDAR
Dear Superintendent:
On behalf of the ESC Region 6 staff it is our pleasure to pro-vide you with the Superintendent Planning Calendar for 2020-2021. We so appreciate the important role you play in the com-munity you serve. We are fortunate to work with you, your staff, and your schools in meeting the needs of the children you serve. We hope that you find this resource useful as a planning guide.
The communities in Region 6 vary greatly in size and make-up. However, there is one commonality they all share and that is each has a key leader in the school superintendent. Your role is a linchpin for the community in so many ways. The ESC Re-gion 6 staff recognizes the importance of your role and strives to be a partner in assisting you in your varied responsibilities.
As we all would agree the challenges facing you and your staff continue to increase with each passing year. Rigorous gradua-tion requirements, ever changing accountability standards, state level assessments that seem to change with each legislative ses-sion, and countless other factors are just a sample of the chal-lenges you and your staff contend with over the course of a school year. Please know that our ESC Region 6 staff stand ready to walk along beside you and your staff in meeting these ever increasing challenges.
Our vision: “Dedicated to Serve” is meant to be more than just words on a document. We vow to serve each and every district and campus to the best of our ability in the days, weeks and months ahead. We look forward to the 2020-2021 school year with the anticipation of fulfilling our mission: “…to empower the educational community to achieve excellence.” In collabo-ration with you and your staff we will achieve excellence for all of those we serve.
Best wishes for a great 2020-2021 school year and please let us know how we can Serve you and your staff in a manner that best meets your needs.
Sincerely,
Michael Holland
