2019 NFL FLAG Regional Rules

• NFL FLAG teams will be able to choose ANY of the 8 Regional Tournaments. A player may only be on ONE roster at a tournament. A player MUST also reside in the state of the league, in which they are

representing.• Only TWO coaches will be permitted on the sideline

o BOTH coaches MUST attend registration to complete NFL FLAG coach waiver and to receive a wristband

No team photographers will be permitted on the sidelines

• Only players on team playing in actual game permitted on sidelines. 10 players MAXIMUM per team

o ALL players MUST attend registration with completed NFL FLAG player waiver and to receive a wristband

Sideline rules will be strictly enforced

• The team and players that win the NFL FLAG regional tournament qualify for NFL FLAG Championships at Pro Bowl.

• NO girls are eligible to be on the 13-14 boys roster and NO boys are permitted on a 13-14 girls roster

o COED DIVISIONS INCLUDE 9-10 COED and 11-12 COED

NFL FLAG Tournament Details

OFFICIAL NFL FLAG powered by USA Football leagues registered in the current calendar year

can compete in ANY of the 8 Regional Tournaments. Winning teams from each age division will

advance to the NFL FLAG Championships.

Registration

NFL FLAG teams will able to choose ANY of the 8 Regional Tournaments. Players must be part

of a registered NFL FLAG league for the current calendar year. NFL FLAG reserves the right to

disqualify players and/or teams if they are not registered as NFL FLAG participants. Teams must

consist of at least five players with a maximum of 10 players.

Space for each tournament is limited. Accommodations are made on a first come, first serve basis.

Once registration closes for a regional tournament, we will not provide any refunds.

Registration closes one week prior to each regional date or when the tournament reaches its

maximum capacity.

Locations and site dates/times are subject to change.

Players are provided with jerseys at registration for the NFL team represented at each regional

(unless otherwise noted). Players’ ages will be reviewed as of Aug. 1 of the current year. A

player must meet age requirements. No exceptions.

Details

NFL FLAG reserves the right to verify that winning teams and players from each regional

tournament are part of official NFL FLAG Leagues. If a winning team or player is deemed not

part of an official NFL FLAG league for that calendar year, that team will be disqualified from

the NFL FLAG Championships.

Tournament format:

Pool play, minimum of three games. Playoffs to follow with seeding based upon team records

during pool play.

Age Brackets:

9-10 coed (teams may be made up of coed, all girls or all boys)

11-12 coed (teams may be made up of coed, all girls or all boys)

13-14 Boys (boys only)

13-14 Girls (girls only)

Regional Tournament waiver and proper forms of player identification must be submitted at

tournament registration. Further details on player registration will be provided closer to

tournament dates. Participants will not be permitted to play without a tournament waiver

signed by a parent/guardian.

Teams must bring their own flag belts and mouth guards for the tournament. Extras will be

available for purchase. Players will be provided with jerseys for the tournament (unless otherwise noted) and teams must wear that jersey for the duration of the tournament.

All games will be played using the provided NFL FLAG intermediate (brown) footballs. Team

footballs are not allowed.

Check-in for all Regional Tournaments are the night before play begins unless otherwise noted.

Tournaments will begin promptly at 8 a.m. or 9 a.m. unless otherwise noted. Coaches will be

notified of start times prior to the tournament.

All teams must be confirmed prior to the tournaments.

NFL FLAG powered by USA Football reserves the right to cancel or change the location of a

Regional Tournament because of inclement weather.

If a Regional Tournament is canceled for any reason, NFL FLAG powered by USA Football will

NOT reimburse any teams, players, parents, or spectators for any expenses incurred including

but not limited to airfare, ground transportation, lodging, and food. Teams may request a

refund of the tournament registration fee.

All decisions made by NFL FLAG powered by USA Football are final.
