3. Applicants Qualifications
International Students QualificationApplicants must meet one of the following requirements.
1. A person whose both parents hold nationalities other than Korean 2. A person who completed elementary, middle, high school and college or university education in countries other than Korea
Applicants can apply for any department regardless of their previous Bachelor's (or Master's) study field. Applicants who hold a Bachelor of Medicine or Bachelor of Dental Clinic are eligible for studies in the Clinical
Medicine Field of Medical Science. No Yeungnam University professors other than International Professors for Education affiliated with the College
of Basic Studies is allowed for admission under the University policy.
Degree Qualification
Note: Official certificate of the Bachelor's degree or equivalent educational attainment must be submitted no later than the last day of the admission period.

M.A. / M.S.1. A Bachelor's Degree from an internationally recognized college or university. OR2. Educational attainment equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree.
Ph. D. 1. A Master's Degree from an internationally recognized college or university. OR2. Educational attainment equivalent to a Master's Degree
Joint MA/MS/PhD1. A Bachelor's Degree from an internationally recognized college or university. OR2. Educational attainment equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree.

5. Required Documents
Required Documents (All documents must be Original or Notarized documents which are in English or Korean)
1) Applicants who submitted Certificate of Prospective Graduation must submit Certificate of Graduation/Diploma after admission decision.2) Original transcript issued by the last attended educational institution.3) Two recommendation letters from two professors from the last attended educational institution.4) 5) 6) Certificates of Employment of both father and mother; either parent can be the primary sponsor of the applicant. If the academic supervisor employed at our university provides financial support for an applicant, the applicant does NOT
need to submit his/her Certificate of Employment, Certificate of Income and Original Bank Statements. However, Chinese applicants who need to get an entry visa to Korea should submit the following documents even though the
academic supervisor provides financial support. (Certificates of Employment, Certificates of Income and Original Bank Statements for both father and mother, respectively)
7) If all family members are not in one household register, Certificate of Family Relations must be submitted.8) Official report of English or Korean Proficiency test taken after November 1, 2013(TOEFL, TOEIC, TEPS, IELTS, KLPT, KLAT
or TOPIK) is only valid and should be included in the application package, if applicable.

8. Additional Information for Application
All required documents must be translated into Korean or English. The applicant should select the major and department that he/she is applying for. Any disadvantage caused by the
applicants mistake is her/his responsibility and application documents and fees will not be returned. If any required documents are found to be counterfeit and not submitted, admission will be revoked. Admission-related matters not specified in this guideline will follow the rules prescribed by the Graduate School
Committee. Applicant should submit additional documents when requested from Yeungnam University for fact checking Applicants who submitted Certificate of Prospective Graduation must submit Certificate of Graduation/Diploma
ASAP after the admission decision. Otherwise admission will be canceled.

9. Tuition Fees
The fee for the Spring semester of 2016 might be subject to change. USD amount is subject to change according to currency rate change. ($1=\1100)

2. Applicants who does not buy medical insurance
A student receiving a 100% tuition waiver should work as a Teaching or Research Assistant for 10 hours every week. A student who does not buy medical insurance is NOT eligible for a 100% tuition waiver under the Government Policy. A student can buy medical insurance in Korea after admission(by the beginning of March, 2016) or provide proof of one's
own medical insurance that is accepted in Korea. International Professors for Education affiliated with the College of Basic Studies in Yeungnam University are NOT eligible for a full tuition waiver under the University policy.

11. Dormitory

12. Visa Issue
Sojourn status : D-2 Where to Apply : Local Korean Embassy or Consulate For citizen of China, Yeungnam University requests for visa issuance and notifies the approval number to the student.
Students with a D-2 visa who wish to stay in Korea for more than 90 days must visit a local immigration office or branch office and apply for an alien registration card within 90 days of entry in Korea.

13. Degree Verification
Admitted applicants who received the degree from universities outside of Korea must submit
the following documents for degree verification.
Submission deadline Admitted applicants who already graduated: by December 11, 2015 Admitted applicants who will graduate after December 11, 2015: by January 29, 2016 Required documents: Official Degree Certificates
The admitted applicants who graduated from universities in Korea do not need to submit the document(s). Applicants who graduated from universities in China must submit the document(s) during the application period. Failure to submit the degree verification document(s) will result in cancellation of admission under the University policy.
