Our special K—2st Grade full day / half day / individual class Summer Camp Engages scholars with interactive STEM-focused learning Challenges the traditional classroom with a thematic structure through diverse opportunities and settings Builds a solid foundation through cooperative learning, cumulative understanding, and practical experience KinderBots strong focus on Introducing simple engineering and technology concept to Kinder –Gr 2 in a fun, hands-on way Inspiring children to become confident learners in the digital age!! The custom- designed curriculum encourage students to ask questions. Science Explorer The experiments were created by the Exploratorium It is the learn-by-doing approach to science and math Confident Voice The curriculum is based on games and activities which help children find their own voice as they learn to listen in new and critical ways. olivechildren.com/summer-camp-2015 Around the World/Common Core Reading/Coding for FUN In this combined class, students will devote 1 hour to Around the World, 1 hour to Common Core Comprehensive Reading which will practice six areas of

reading instruction: phonological awareness, phonics, structural analysis, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension

1 hour to Coding for FUN which is designed to motivate students to learn computer science through real world relationships, connections, and patterns. Computer will be provided.

KidzScience—a unique partnership with a local science museum that promote children’s academic, ethical, and social development through science. The curricula are developed with support from NASA.

Creative Writing—students will be able to meet the goals:

Read and comprehend a variety of fictional and poetic texts

Write well articulated dialogue and description

Develop an ability to offer feedback to others

Write and revise fiction and poetry

RoboCamp—affiliation with RoboCAMP which enhance STEM education using LEGO robot building and visual programming. Teach Robotics in the FUN way!!
