We are now going to examine one specific controversy----the Aswan Dam.• • The teacher is going to read aloud pages 1 and 2 of the photocopied

supplemental reading on the controversial Aswan Dam, you should be using Active Reading Strategies.• Then you will be broken into groups of three or four, and you will use the rest of

the reading to examine more in-depth the positive and negative effects of the Aswan Dam.
