Goals for 2014/2015 – Year 2
Goal 1 – Implement the Pre-Referral & Referral processes
Goal 2 – Provide Professional Development in identified areas
Goal 3 – Identify the roles and responsibilities of each team member
Goal 4 – Develop the procedures for documenting referrals, recommendations & outcomes to SWAT
Goals for 2014/2015 – Year 2 (Cont.)
Goal 5 – Develop the procedures to ensure that regular education teachers, Special Education teachers, EAs, and supporting staff understand best practices to support positive behavior in children with Autism.
Goal 6 – Offer teachers of children with autism information on best practices in order to serve their students to include assistance with assessment for STARS curriculum and support in implementation.
Goal 7 – Review and distribute educational brochure for support of families of children with Autism.
Goal 1 - Implement the Pre-Referral & Referral processes
SWAT PROCEDURES District screener distributed to SAT at each school
Autism screener included as part of SAT packets
SAT chair delivers completed screener to SWAT member or Special Ed office
SWAT reviews screeners at each monthly meeting
SWAT member meets with teacher to provide recommendations for implementation in classroom
Recommendations will include an Intervention Tracking Spreadsheet with timeline for documentation of implementation & results
