A CHANGE FOR

HONDURAS We can believe starting with

faith.

It is believing in the certainty

of things that cannot be seen.

To be a believer and a

Christian it is something

which is absolutely

necessary.

But without faith it is

impossible to please Him, for

he who comes to God must

believe that He is, and that He

is a rewarder of those who

diligently seek Him.

God will reward those who

cannot see him, and yet still

show a strong desire to find

him When we talk about faith

it is referring to someone who

is certain about something

without actually seeing it. As

Jesus indicates, the more faith

you have the more you can

achieve.

So Jesus said to them,

“Because of your unbelief; for

assuredly, I say to you, if you

have faith as a mustard seed,

you will say to this mountain,

‘Move from here to there,’ and

it will move; and nothing will

be impossible for you.

Matthew 17:20

So nothing would be

impossible for the man who

had faith.

But it can be argued that if we

have faith then we should be

able to achieve anything we

wish. But as John point out this

depends on God’s will.

Now this is the confidence that

we have in Him, that if we ask

anything according to His

will, He hears us. And if we

know that He hears us,

whatever we ask, we know

that we have the petitions that

we have asked of Him. 1 John

5: 14-15

If God’s will allows it, then we

can do amazing things with

our faith. But we must always

remember that faith will never

allow us to change God’s

determined will. However, we

should always remember that

without human faith many of

the events in the Bible would

not have happened.

FOR THE PEOPLE

WE CAN HELP IN

HONDURAS There are allot of children out

there and they need help. and how

can we help them, by praying for

them and help them to believe in

them self and grow them up to

become a leader.

HELPO ONE AND

OTHER IS A GREAT

EXPERIENCE I have shewed you all things, how

that so laboring ye ought to

support the weak, and to

remember the words of the

Lord Jesus, how he said, It is

more blessed to give than to

receive.

A leader's job is not to do the

work for others, it's to help

others figure out how to do it

themselves, to get things

done, and to succeed beyond

what they thought possible.

Agreat frind of my one say

is not about denomination

its about building the

kingdom of god.

Help others and give

something back. I guarantee

you will discover that while

public service improves the

lives and the world around

you, its greatest reward is the

enrichment and new meaning

it will bring your own life.

We know what real love is

because Christ gave up his

life for us. And so we also

ought to give up our lives for

our Christian brothers and

sisters. 17 But if anyone has

enough money to live well and

sees a brother or sister in need

and refuses to help - how can

God's love be in that person?

18 Dear children, let us stop

just saying we love each

other; let us really show it by

our actions.

OUR GENARATION

WILL MAKE A

CHANGE ORGANIZATION

This and is my dream

organiza a children program

were mission team, can come

and do there ministry meet

new people share the world of

god with and help then and

work them and help them to

become a leader.

A lader job is not and easy job,

there are allot of

responsibility.

We all show leadership at

some times in our lives, some

people find that they are in

leadership roles for most of

their lives. The most obvious

people in leadership roles are

managers in companies. In

the church it would be the

“elders”. They make

decisions in the guidance of

the company / church.

However, there are many

other people in leadership

roles at various times. For

example, if a person is put in

charge of a committee then

that person is the leader of

that committee. The

committee may be the welfare

committee and the person put

in charge of the committee

may be the leader because he

or she had shown great

wisdom in dealing with

welfare issues in the past. If

you are a Sunday school

leader then you are the leader

or person in authority over

that class of Sunday school

students. You are ultimately

responsible for the students

learning about the Bible. And

so the list of leadership roles

that we all take at various

stages in our life goes on.

FOR EXAMPLE

MOSES AS A LEADER Moses was a leader, and he

was a good one. And we are

fortunate that some of his

good leadership tips were

recorded for us to learn and

apply in our own lives at those

times when we are leaders.

For Moses to lead the nation

by himself was an incredible

burden. He realised that he

could not complete the task by

himself. As nations grow they

become increasingly more

complex – the same happens

with organisations and

churches. The bigger the

organisation becomes, the

more conflicting needs and

disagreements arise amongst

the people. It is difficult for

one leader to make all the -

decisions. In a similar way to

Moses, you may have an

instinctive inclination to try to

do all the work alone in the

particular area that you are

leader over. This may be

because you are afraid or

embarrassed to ask for

assistance. In relation to this,

Moses made a wise decision:

At that time I said to you, "You

are too heavy a burden for me

to carry alone. Deuteronomy

TOWN ROATAN

Roatan is the largest, most

developed and most

frequented of the Bay Islands

of Honduras. Essentially a

long, forested ridge rising

from the Caribbean Sea, it

retains much of the original

landscape that was known in

the 16th century.

Roatan, like the rest of the Bay

Islands, provides visitors with

an amazing vacation

alternative and is said to be

much like the eastern

Caribbean was before

commercialization took place.

The island has an incredible

amount to offer guests; superb

scuba diving and snorkeling,

tours of the island, hiking,

kayaking, horseback riding,

exploring vast mangrove

alleys, zip-line tours, water

sports and stunning beaches

like West Bay.

There are restaurants, hotels,

resorts and vacation rentals to

suit every type of traveler and

all of these make certain that

every guest is treated to a

wonderful island experience.

So, whether you're visiting us

as a diver, explorer, party

animal or simply

just to be, we're certain that

you are going

to have the best vacation ever

Because Roatan is so long and

skinny, most of its resorts and

luxury hotels are located on

private beaches outside of the

island's towns. But that's

where the island's life and

flavor is found! Roatan's

principal communities are the

following:

Coxen Hole: The capital of the

Bay Islands is Coxen Hole,

Roatan's largest city and the

first place you'll see -- both the

boat dock and the airstrip are

located in Coxen Hole.

Though travelers don't tend to

remain in the city, it's the

island's center for politics and

commerce.

Sandy Bay: Most of Roatan's

cultural attractions are

located in Sandy Bay, such as

the Institute of Marine

Sciences and the Carambola

Gardens and Marine Reserve.

Sandy Bay is just across the

narrow width of the island

from Coxen Hole.

French Harbour: Lively

French Harbour is the core of

Roatan's fishing trade. Several

of Roatan's most exclusive

hotels are located here, as

well as the island's only

Iguana conservatory.

Punta Gorda: The only

Garifuna settlement on

Roatan, Punta Gorda boasts a

dynamic culture that has

remained largely unchanged

since the late 1700s. Travelers

are welcome. Many of

Roatan's other local villages

are found on this part of the

island, like Jonesvile, Oak

Ridge, Port Royal, and Camp

Bay.

ABOUT LOVE

For God so loved the world that

He gave His only begotten Son,

that whoever believes in Him

should not perish but have

everlasting life. John 3:16

The love of God is sacrificial –

His love is not self-centred. He

loved us so dearly that he gave

us the life of His Son – the

highest price that he could

pay. Jesus, in turn, willingly

gave his life so that we could

seek reconciliation with God.

In a similar manner, we must

be willing to give up our own

comfort and security so that

others might join us in

receiving God’s love.

I say to you that likewise there

will be more joy in heaven

over one sinner who repents

than over ninety-nine just

persons who need no

repentance. Luke 15:7

We see the extraordinary love

of God when we read that He

tenderly searches for sinners

and then with joy forgives

them. This is the amazing

love he has for each one of us.

The love of God is beyond

measure and is forever.

For I am persuaded that

neither death nor life, nor

angels nor principalities nor

powers, nor things present nor

things to come, nor height nor

depth, nor any other created

thing, shall be able to

separate us from the love of

God which is in Christ Jesus

our Lord. Romans 8:38-39

No matter what happens to us,

no matter where we are, we

can never be separated from

the love of God. When the

times are tough some people

are driven away from God,

when in fact this is the time

that they should be coming to

Him and seeking his

immeasurable love for us.

God tells us how great his love

is so that we will feel totally

secure in him.

Indeed it is impossible to separate us from the

love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

If we just think about Christ’s death we can

see the proof of his unconquerable love.

1 CORINTHIANS 10:13 No temptation has seized you except

what is common to man. And God is

faithful; he will not let you be tempted

beyond what you can bear. But when you

are tempted, he will also provide a way

out so that you can stand up under it.

Every Christian in our

modern world is under

constant satanic pressure and

attack. We must bear one

another’s burdens as we see

these pressures escalating.

We can and must do it by

regular, specific prayer. So

much of our praying is

limited to just, “Lord, bless

...,” or, “Lord, meet the need

of ...” We are admonished in

Galatians 6:2 to bear one

another’s burdens. Some

burdens are too heavy to be

borne alone because of a

sudden flood of problems,

lack of adequate Bible

teaching or spiritual

immaturity.

On the other hand, Galatians

6:5 tells us there are burdens

for which each one must take

responsibility. He must seek

God’s help and do what he

can for himself. In 2

Corinthians 1:8-11, Paul

writes of the extreme

pressures that can be handled

only through the prayers of

others. To be guilty of the sin

of prayerlessness is to be

guilty of the worst form of

practical atheism. It is

actually saying we can get

along without His help while

the evidence is very clear on

every hand that we cannot.

Could it be that the sin of

prayerlessness stems from

our unbelief that he is a living

God who exercises direct

influence on the affairs of

men? Instead of waiting until

crisis problems develop

which result in panic praying

for others, we need to trust

God to protect them as we

pray Spirit-led, thoughtful,

caring prayers before the

problems overwhelm them,

and they are unable to cope.

We need to engage in major

battles, not just minor

skirmishes, moving from

surface praying to in-depth

praying. We need to pray both

defensively and offensively.

HONESTY AND

RESPECT

Is it important to be honest?

In today’s society honesty and

integrity are difficult to find.

Society rationalises

dishonesty – it is considered

as something necessary to get

by in this world.

Lies will soon be detected and

the liar is deceiving himself

to think otherwise.

Dishonest people soon begin

to believe the lies they build

around themselves. Then they

start to lose the ability to tell

the difference between truth

and lies. By believing your

own lies you are deceiving

yourself. But you also alienate

yourself from God, and you

lose credibility in all your

relationships with other

people. If you lie to other

people then their

perception of your

integrity drops to

a low level. In

the long run,

honesty always

wins out.

Above all, my

brothers, do

not swear—

not by heaven or

by earth or by

anything else. Let your "Yes"

be yes, and your "No," no, or

you will be condemned.

James 5:12

Page 8: 2014 roatan newstelleter ediction signed

OATANLEARNING FROM ITS BENEFITS | MAKING IT REAL # 8

A person with a reputation for

exaggeration or lying often

can’t get anyone to believe

him on his word alone. You

should never become like

that. Always be honest so that

others will believe your

simple yes or no. By avoiding

lies, half-truths, and

omissions of the truth, you

will become known as a

trustworthy person.

When you want to please or

impress someone, it is

tempting to lie to make

yourself look good. You may

think it is easier to tell the

other person what they want

to hear. Sometimes telling

the truth can lead to

someone doing something

terrible to you. Obeying

God (not telling lies),

doesn’t always protect us

from evil consequences.

Obedience may, in fact,

provoke them. But it is

better to suffer from man’s

displeasure than from God’s

wrath.

Do not be afraid of those

who kill the body but cannot

kill the soul. Rather, be

afraid of the One who can

destroy both soul and body

in hell. Matthew 10:28

If you are

ridiculed for

being honest,

remember that

this can be a

sign that you

indeed doing

what is right in

God’s eyes

And let us consider how we may

spur one another on toward love

and good deeds, 25 not giving

up meeting together, as some

are in the habit of doing, but

encouraging one another—and

all the more as you see the Day

approaching.

The gift of encouragement

differs from the gift of teaching

in that it focuses on the practical

aspects of the Bible. Whereas

one with the gift of teaching

focuses on meaning and content

of the word, along with accuracy

and application, one with the gift

of encouragement focuses on the

practical application of the

Word. He or she can relate to

others, both in groups and

individually, by understanding

their needs and sympathizing

with them. This person can help

another person move from

pessimism to optimism.

Without encouragement,

hardship becomes meaningless,

and our will to go on wanes. The

prophet Elijah struggled with

discouragement (1 Kings 19:3-

10), and so do we. It is important

to remember that “our struggle

is not against flesh and blood,

but against . . . the powers of this

dark world and against the

spiritual forces of evil in the

heavenly realms” (Ephesians

6:12). This truth makes

encouragement all the more

important. It is not just that we

face the world’s displeasure; we

are caught in the crosshairs of a

spiritual battle. When we are

encouraged in Christ, we have

strength to put on our spiritual

armor and remain steadfast (see

Ephesians 6:10-18).

Sometimes we might get worn

down such that we could use a

little encouragement to keep us

going. As Isaiah 35:3 says,

“Encourage the exhausted, and

strengthen the feeble.” But it is

not just those who have been

exhausted who need

encouragement, but

encouragement should be a

regular part of life among

believers. Hebrews 3:13 says,

“But encourage one another day

after day, as long as it is still

called ‘Today,’ so that none of

you will be hardened by the

deceitfulness of sin.” There is not

a day that goes by that we

couldn’t benefit from some

encouragement or that we should

be lacking in giving some

encouragement to others.

Encouraging one another matters

because it keeps us from being

deceived into sinning. When we get

exhausted and in a weakened, worn

down state, it is easy to give into sin

and stop resisting the devil’s

temptation. When we are tired,

sometimes we decide that we don’t

care anymore, and our sensitivity to

wrongdoing lessens.

Encouragement keeps our focus

right. It lets us know that we are not

alone but that others are supportive

of us, praying for us, and caring for

us. We need to be active in

encouraging one another so that we

can keep motivating one another

toward love and good deeds

(Hebrews 10:24-25).

TOGEHEER WE ARE STRONG

WE CAN DO IT JOING THE

RACE Our lives can be influenced by the

friends that we have. That is why we

must be able to identify who are good

friends and who are bad friends. What

is a friend? It is a person who wants to

be near another because of feelings of

affection or personal respect.

LEADER SHIP CAN HARD Leadership skills are important, good,

and necessary. Those who lead ought to

be able to inspire, cast vision,

administrate, delegate, organize, and

do all the rest that comes with the

territory of being a leader. But all the

skills and abilities in the world are

nothing unless God is at work mightily

in and through the leader. Biblical

leadership is not a power play, but a

work of grace.

It is not about worldly success and

achievement but about faithfulness, the

teaching of the Word of God, and the

shepherding of the home and those

whom God puts under the leader’s care.

Whether in obscurity or popularity,

Biblical leadership is always the same,

deriving the ability to bear spiritual fruit

which carries spiritual influence

because of a heart dedicated and

UNITED WE WILL RISE BY DR.TEMPTATION & TRISTON BIBER

Page 10: 2014 roatan newstelleter ediction signed

OATANLEARNING FROM ITS BENEFITS | MAKING IT REAL # 10

committed to Christ.The first

problem with all of the stuff that’s

out there on leadership is that we

haven’t got a clue what we’re

talking about.” We typically think

of the leader as being the person

at the top. “But if you define a

leader as an executive, then you

absolutely deny everyone else in

an organization the opportunity

to be a leader.”

Many of you want to be leaders,

to make a difference. But you

might be spending too much time

self-marketing and not enough

time researching, building

bridges by taking an interest in

someone…In true leadership

situations, listening comes before

arm-waving.”

Another way to explain

leadership and love is that, just

like a shepherd of sheep, leaders

need to keep focused on serving

the needs of the people they

influence. They should help them

to grow spiritually, mentally,

emotionally, socially, and in

physical health. They should

support their holistic health as a

child of God.

Do you want to become a great

leader in God's eyes? If so, then

make it a real priority to lead

with love. Take some practical

steps toward becoming a more

loving leader. Ask God on a daily

basis to help you be motivated

by love for others, and to lead in

a loving way. Prayerfully read

over the following scriptures on

love on a regular basis, and

meditate on how they apply to

your life (1 Corinthians 13; 1

Corinthians 16:14; Romans 12:9-

21; Romans 5:8; John 3:16). Then

apply to your life what God

shows you. Don't give up. Keep

working on it and you will grow

as a loving leader.

Leading others with love is

crucial to the kingdom of God. It

will make the Church a brighter

light in this darkened world.

Therefore, let us resolve to

become more Christlike in our

motivations by leading others out

of a concern for their well-being,

and let us practice our leadership

in a loving way. Let us humbly

come before God, and ask that by

His grace we may walk as Jesus did,

humbly and lovingly serving others.

As we do these things, we will by

God's grace change the world.

EVEN STRONGER DR.TEMP Yes, we all can and should be

leaders in some way, but do you

want to become a great leader?

How does God look at your

leadership now? Will it stand the

test of time? Will it endure the

judgement of God? No matter

how successful you think you

are, you may be completely

missing the mark. And that is the

case when you are not leading

with love.

VOLUNTEER

Page 11: 2014 roatan newstelleter ediction signed

OATANLEARNING FROM ITS BENEFITS | MAKING IT REAL # 11

Some friends can have a good

influence on us whereas others

can influence our lives in the

wrong way – they can affect our

behaviour and change our beliefs.

When God looks at our friends he

doesn’t look at their personality

or appearance but rather at

whether they are a good influence

on us.

Human beings were created to be

social creatures, meaning that we

are most comfortable when we

have family, friends and

acquaintances. Friendship is an

important element in a fulfilled,

contented life, and those who

have close friends, whether one

or two or a multitude, will usually

be happy and well-adjusted. At

the same time, those who call

themselves our friends may cause

us grief and hardship, constantly

disappointing us. So what exactly

is a friend, and what does the

Bible have to say about friends?

On the positive side, friends can

console and help us when we are

in trouble, as when Barzillai the

Gileadite consoled David when he

was being hunted by Saul (2

Samuel 19:25-26) or when

Jephthah’s daughter’s friends

consoled her before her death

(Judges 11:37-38). A friend may

also rebuke in love, proving more

faithful than a hypocritical

flatterer (Proverbs 27:6). One of

the greatest biblical examples of

friendship is David and Jonathan,

son of King Saul. Jonathan’s

loyalty to his friend, David,

exceeded that to his own father

and his own ambitions (1 Samuel

18:1-4; 20:14-17). So attached was

David to his loyal friend that,

after Jonathan’s death, David

wrote a song to him, a tribute

filled with heart-wrenching

pathos (2 Samuel 1:30-32). Theirs

was a friendship closer than

brotherhood. In the New

Testament, many of Paul’s letters

begin and end with tributes to his

friends, those who ministered to

him, supported him, prayed for

him, and loved him.

Friendship can have its negative

aspects as well. Supposed friends

can lead us into sin, as when

Jonadab persuades Amnon to rape

his half-sister, Tamar (2 Samuel

13:1-6). A friend can lead us

astray in regard to our faith, as

they sometimes did in Israel,

leading others to worship false

gods (Deuteronomy 13:6-11). In

those days, such an act was

punishable by death. Even if our

friends do not lead us astray, they

can provide false comfort and bad

advice, as Job’s friends did,

making his suffering worse and

displeasing the Lord (Job 2:11-13,

6:14-27, 42:7-9). Friends can also

prove false, pretending affection

for their own motives and

deserting us when our friendship

no longer benefits them (Psalm

55:12-14; Proverbs 19:4, 6-7).

Friendship can be broken down

through gossip (Proverbs 16:28) or

grudges (Proverbs 17:9). Friends

should be chosen carefully

because, as Paul told the

Corinthians, “Bad company

corrupts good character” (1

Corinthians 15:33).

Proverbs 1:10-19 and 4:14-19

contain warnings about friends

and how we should choose them.

We are not to associate with those

who entice us to do wrong, no

matter how appealing their

“friendship” seems to be. Those

whose “feet rush to sin” should be

avoided. The path they choose is

no place for a Christian whose

choice should be to follow the

“path of the righteous.” Only that

path leads to friendship with God,

which is the ultimate goal of a

Christian.
