OUR HISTORY

Welcome to the 2014 TCT Media Planner, your

guide to getting the most from the TCT portfolio

over the next 12 months.

TCT is entering its 22nd year as a print magazine

and is growing at an unprecedented rate with a

broader cross-platform readership, an expanding

and diversifying show and a rapidly expanding

global footprint with activity in the UK, Europe, USA

and China over the next 12 months.

We have worked hard to develop our community in

print, in pixels and in person, with BPA Audited print

circulation for the magazine, and improved analytics

across our digital output and show. In expanding our

community we have also increased the options for

reaching them with your brand message or call to

action across all three platforms.

We’ve also made a conscious effort to help you

reach new audiences by cooperating with some

huge global names across manufacturing,

engineering and consumer technologies. In January

2014 we will be partnering with the CEA, organisers

of International CES in Las Vegas. International CES

is the world’s largest showcase for the consumer

electronics industry and boasts some 150,000

visitors each year. TCT + Personalize is sponsoring

the 3D Printing TechZone and organising the 3D

Printing Conference session at the event, giving you

a supported route to this huge new audience.

In November 2014 TCT will partner with VNU

Exhibitions to execute the first TCT Asia in

Shanghai, China. The wider Asian will truly benefit

from TCT + Personalize’s expertise, industry

contacts, and ability to deliver key machinery

suppliers and service providers to this rapidly

expanding market.  We hope as many of our

existing clients have the opportunity to join us for

what will certainly be a busy event!

Closer to home we are working on a number of key

partnerships that we will announce throughout the

year. These initiatives will provide a further platform

to promote yourself to fresh audiences who are now

being turned on to the possibilities of 3D printing,

additive manufacturing and innovative product

development solutions.

One of the most important ways we are developing

a global readership is through the availability of the

digital edition, which is now available for free across

the iOS and Android platforms globally. Digital

delivery is immediate, simple, and allows easy

archiving of back issues and truly global availability.

The world of communications is evolving almost as

quickly as the industries we cover, so we’re faced

with a unique set of challenges. Luckily we have the

experience, connections and know-how to fully

Established at the birth of 'Rapid Prototyping'

technologies in the early 1990s, TCT was initially

known as Rapid News, later becoming Time

Compression Technologies and latterly TCT, and

most recently with the incorporation of the

Personalize brand, TCT + Personalize. In 1997 we

launched Time Compression Technologies North

America — a sister magazine to the then Time

Compression Technologies Europe — that has

subsequently moved to other publishers and as of

2012 no longer appears in print.

TCT is now the only communications portfolio that

covers 3D printing, additive manufacturing and

product development across all major platforms

globally.

So, what does TCT stand for? Once TCT was an

abbreviation of Time Compression Technologies as

the technologies we covered were dedicated to

reducing the time-to-market through ‘rapid

prototyping’. Nowadays these same technologies

have been joined by a host of complementary

methods and are used in design, prototyping and

production of everything from medical devices to

high fashion. These days TCT stands for editorial

integrity, unbiased coverage and industry-leading

marketing opportunities.

package does it best. TCT’s editors and design team will work closely with you

to construct a lead-editorial feature, and by providing striking cover artwork,

audiences. Be quick, the front cover package is the first to sell and all six

1 | All advertising orders placed by the advertiser and received

by Rapid News Publications Ltd or its agents, hereafter “The

Publisher”, shall be governed by the terms and conditions

below.

2 | Advertisers and advertising agencies will agree to indemnify

and hold harmless The Publisher from any claim arising out of

the publication of any material or advertisement submitted to

The Publisher by the advertiser and published in TCT,

Personalize or in any associated products in print or online

(hereafter “The Products”) whether delivered on paper or in

electronic form.

3 | The Publisher has the right to reject any advertising material

submitted for publication in The Products in print and/or online.

The Publisher has the right to insert the word Advertisement

alongside any copy/advertisement scheduled to be carried by

The Products.

4 | Advertisements booked to appear in The Products may

only be cancelled by the submission in writing of a cancellation

note no later than 30 days before the issue reservation closing

date. It is the advertiser’s responsibility to gain

acknowledgement of receipt of confirmation of cancellation in

writing.

5 | The Publisher will not be held responsible for any costs or

damages beyond the agreed costs of the advertisement

where such cost has been prepaid by the advertiser or where

production quality of such advertisement is below standard.

6 | All fees due for advertisements published are payable within

30 days of the relevant publication date or date of upload to

website. Where advertising is booked for or on behalf of an

advertiser by an agent or advertising agency then the client as

principal is and remains liable for the liability incurred and

particularly for any monies still owing in the event of default by

the said agent or agency.

7 | Where an advertiser has been granted a discount (for

example for a series booking) and the advertiser fails to settle

within 40 days of publication either in print or online the

advertiser will automatically lose the discount for that

advertisement and shall be liable to pay the full rate card price

of the advertisement.

8 | The positioning of an advertisement is at the discretion of

The Publisher except when an advertiser has paid the

preferred position charge and the availability of this position has

been confirmed in writing by The Publisher. Preferred and

guaranteed positions are sold at an extra premium of £395 per

advertisement (this includes formats not specified in the rates

and data page and right hand page positions).

9 | This contract shall be governed by the laws of England and

Wales whose courts shall be the proper forum for any action

commenced either by The Publisher or by the advertiser.

10 | The Publisher will not return any materials submitted for

publication in The Products, or any associated properties,

unless prior agreement is issued in writing by The Publisher.

The Publisher has the right to destroy any materials submitted

for publication in The Products, or any associated properties,

after 12 months from their receipt.

11 | The advertiser shall lose the right to any compensation for

any deficiency of whatever nature in the publisher’s service in

respect of any edition unless the advertiser notifies the

publisher in writing within 30 days of publication of that edition,

or date of upload onto website, setting out the deficiency. This

clause applies retrospectively to all past editions and the

advertiser explicitly accepts its retrospective effect.

12 | The advertiser may incur additional charges where artwork

supplied requires changes, amendments or alterations for

publication in The Products.

13 | Advertising agency commission is 10%, for accounts

settled within 30 days of invoice date.

14 | The Terms & Conditions above shall form the entire

contract between the parties, and other terms shall only be

imported if submitted in writing and agreed by the parties, such

agreement to be evidenced, on behalf of The Publisher, by the

signature of a competent director.
