Volunteers play an important role at the conference,and we invite you to consider volunteering your time at one of the manylocations around the conference facility. Its a chance to have fun, workwith a great group of people, and earn $75 reimbursement toward yourpaid Thursday and/or Friday General Conference registration!     Meals:

    Tuesday, Feb. 25 and Wednesday, Feb. 26:Continental breakfast andlunch is included with Tuesday and Wednesday Pre-Conference registratioMeals will be set-up at the general location of the Tuesday and Wednesdaysessions. Please note that lunch tickets are part of your badge and you mubring the lunch tickets with you. Your lunch ticket will only be valid at thelocation of your workshop. Your lunch ticket will show an A for ACT or

    P for Pheasant Run, and you musteat lunch at the assigned location.Thursday, Feb. 27, and Friday, Feb. 28: Complimentary continentalbreakfast will be available in the Exhibit Hall from 7:30-9:00AM.Lunch will be available for purchase in the Exhibit Hall and the Atriumfrom 11:30AM-1:30PM.

    Parking / Shuttle Bus Service:If the large lot at Pheasant Run is full,overflow parking will be available at the Hilton Garden Inn across the streetwith shuttle bus service to Pheasant Run all through the day. Shuttle busservice will be available for conference attendees who need to travelbetween the Pheasant Run Mega Center, Pheasant Run Gallery Hall andthe ACT Center/Hilton Hotel/remote parking lot across North Avenue.Schedules will be posted at each of these bus stop locations. Shuttles willcomplete this route every 15 minutes or less. Shuttles will begin running onTuesday and Wednesday at 7:30AMand on Thursday and Friday at 7:15AM.

    The last shuttle will run 30 minutes after the final activity each day.

    Conference Schedule:Below is an overview of ICE 2014.Tuesday, Feb. 25, 8:30AM-3:30PM:Full-day workshops. Pre-registrationrequired. On-site registration for workshops will not be available.

    Wednesday, Feb. 26, 8:30AM-3:30 PM:Build Your Own Conference dayincluding full-day and half-day workshops and Featured Presentations.Pre-registration for full-day and half-day workshops was required. On-siteregistration for workshops will not be available. On-site registration for80-minute Featured Presentations will be available. The Connect AfterHours events, open to all, will take place from 3-9 PM- see details belowin the Connect with Othersinformation.

    Registration Changes/Cancellations:All conference registration changesor cancellations were to be submitted by Feb. 3, 2014. If you find you cannotattend the conference as registered, you may send someone to attend theconference in your place. Follow the directions posted on the registrationwebpage for details.

    Registration hours and locations: Conference registration will be locatedin the lobby area outside of the Exhibit Hall in the Mega Center or in Salon VIas noted below.

    ICE CONFERENCE 2014 SURVIVAL GUIDE

    Whether you have attended the ICE Conference in the past or this is your first time, we want to be certain you will have a meaningful learning experience atthis years event. ICE has grown to four full days of learning, with many session formats, special events and lots of different activities and opportunities foryou to learn, network and grow professionally. This Survival Guide has important information to help you navigate these many opportunities.

    Your Name Badge / Ticket to the Conference:Your name badge is your ticket to be at the ICE Conference. Name badges were mailed in mid-February to registrants who had paid their conference fees by Feb. 3. All registrants paying conference fees after Feb. 3 are to pick up their name badgesupon arrival at the conference. (Note: A PO does not constitute payment. A check produced by the PO and mailed to the ICE office is payment.) If you areattending the Tuesday, Feb.25, or Wednesday, Feb. 26, pre-conference days and have your name badge in hand, go directly to your first scheduled session.(Workshop locations will be posted at www.iceberg.org.)If you are attending the conference on Thursday, Feb. 27 or Friday, Feb. 28, bring your badge tothe Mega Center lobby where you will pick up a name badge holder and a conference tote bag containing the General Conference program book and othermaterials.Your name badge must be worn at all times during conference events.

    Program Book:In our effort to transition to a paperless conference, our Thursday, Feb. 27 and Friday, Feb. 28 General Conference program book will beslimmer. The convenient tear-out At-a-Glance grid will be available, but the actual session listings including presenters and descriptions will be available inour Conference App or as a PDF that can be downloaded at http://www.iceberg.org/ice_conference/breakoutand printed for those who wish to do so.

    CPDU Credits:

    Tuesday and Wednesday Full-Day Workshop presenters will distributeCPDU documentation in workshop sessions. Six CPDU credits will beprovided for Full-Day Workshop attendees.

    CPDU Credit for Wednesday Half-Day and Featured Presentations and

    for General Conference Attendees on Thursday and Friday.CPDUevaluations for these ICE 2014 sessions will be taken online only. You willreceive instructions and a link to access the evaluation forms at theconference. Once you submit your evaluation, the appropriate Evidenceof Completion forms will be emailed directly to you.

    Exhibit Hall / Barcode on Name Badge:Exhibitors will fill over 150 boothswith the latest in educational technology products and services. All exhibitorsand information about their products and booth locations will be listed in theconference program book, and in the Conference App available in the iTunes

    App Store and the Android Google Play App store. A web version is alsoavailable. A printable pdf of the conference program book will also beposted online just prior to the conference. Information on the exhibitors,including booth numbers, links to their websites, etc., is currently availableon the Conference App.

    When you look at your name badge, you will notice that a bar code is on theback of it. Some of the exhibitors will be using a lead retrieval system.If you agree to allow an exhibitor to scan your barcode, please be aware thatyou are providing that exhibitor your contact information, including name,address, school information, email address, and phone number. This systemwas put in place to make it easier for our attendees to establish contacts withexhibitors, but if you dont want to share this information, the decision is inyour hands...just dont let exhibitors scan your name badge.

    Keynote Streaming:The Thursday and Friday morning Keynote

    presentations will be streamed LIVE in the Pheasant Run Mega CenterExhibit Hall Spotlight Stage area this year and at the Hilton - ACT Centerin Salon A.

    Thursday/Friday General Conference Presenter Check-In:

    General Conference presenters (those providing Poster Sessions or45-minute presentations) must check in at the Presenter Check-In deskin the Mega Center lobby between 7:30AMand 10:00AMeach day you arepresenting. (Presenters for the full-day and half-day workshop presentationswill be sent additional check-in information by email.)

    Presenter Handouts:Presenters will be uploading their conferencehandouts to the Conference Wiki found at: http://icewiki.info. Please visitthe wiki to access copies of the handout(s) during and after the conference.

    Connect with Others!There are many opportunities at the ICE Conferencto meet other educators and participate in a variety of interactive activi-ties and special learning playgrounds. Be sure to take advantage of thesenetworking opportunities:

    1) Tuesday Evening Bits and Bytes: Get together Tuesday, Feb. 25for mega BITS of meeting other conference attendees, sharing ideas,and simply relaxing and having fun! And also enjoy some BYTES ofdelicious food. ICE will provide plenty of appetizers and soft drinks,and a cash bar is also available. This event begins at 5:00PMin theHarvest Restaurant at the Pheasant Run Resort.

    2) Wednesday Evening Connect After Hours at ICEEveryone is invited to a FREE Connect to ICE reception in the ExhibitHall on Wednesday, Feb. 26, from 3:00-6:00PM. Browse the vendorexhibits, listen to TED-like talks from featured speaker and fast-paced5-minute IGNITE presentations from some ICE favorites! This eventwill be followed by ICE After Dark- EdCamp experience from7:00-9:00PM. Conference registration is not required for the Wednesdaevening events.

    3) Thursday Night ICE Celebration 2014: Join us for the official ICECelebration, FIESTA 2014! Everyone is invited for socializing, dancinga photo booth for some fun souvenir pics, and a fantastic time. Enjoysnacks and a cash bar, along with the awesome music stylings ofDJ Skittles.     4) Poster Sessions, Student Showcase, UDL Playground: On Thursdaand Friday, Posters will be set up in the Marsalis Rooms. On ThursdaThe Student Showcase will be in the Mega Center Lobby area. TheUniversal Design Learning (UDL) Playground will be on BourbonStreet near the New Orleans Ballroom.

    5) PLN Plaza: The Personal Learning Network (PLN) Plaza will be locatedIn the Exhibit Hall this year. This space will feature App Slams,PLAYDATE make-and-take sessions, spotlight speaker and keynoteroundtable discussions, an ICE your badge station and a photo boothCome visit to connect with colleagues new and old and collaborate in

    Closing Session:ICE Conference 2014 will conclude with a closing sessioon Friday, February 28 at 3:30PMin the Salon rooms at Pheasant Run. We wannounce the winners of the grand prize raffle drawings at this meeting. Youmust be present to win these prizes, so plan to be there! We will also holdthe annual ICE meeting at this time and members will have the opportunity tvote for candidates for the 2014-2015 ICE Executive Board.

    Hotel Information: We encourage all conference attendees to stay at thePheasant Run Resort and Conference Center in St. Charles, Illinois. We havnegotiated special rates for people who attend the conference, so whenyou make your reservation, be sure to mention that you are attending ICEConference 2014 to get the special rates.
