Billboard ExamplesDesigning a billboard is quite challenging not to mention its size, there are lots of things that one needs to put in mind while making the design. Unlike business cards or logos, designing for billboards require more creativity and great ideas in order to attract the attention of the people.

Since billboards are viewed for a few seconds only, you have to make your message quick. You can use 8 to 10 words only which can easily be read by people even those driving a little fast. You can include the company name, contact information, direct information of the product, and a slogan. Use a few words as possible.

Page 41: 2013 Media Reference Binder

39

Window ClingsWhen ordering window clings you will need to choose between white and clear material, then you will need to select a mounting surface type. Before you can place your order, you must understand the difference between a first surface and a second surface cling. When choosing a print substrate, the most important question to ask yourself is, “How will I display my window cling?” Answering this question will help you determine whether you need a first surface or second surface cling. A first surface cling is applied on the same side on which the product is intended to be viewed whereas second surface clings are applied on the opposite side from which they will be viewed. Since understanding the different choices can be tricky, see the diagrams below.

be shown in the photo - unlike a ‘group’ shot.
