Winter approaches and Earth tilts hard on its axis, sending the late autumn sun rolling low

along the horizon, bouncing atop distant mountain tops until it falls beyond their shadows. Soon,

we’ll step outside to find the season’s first cold front, coursing a parched landscape to reclaim the

margins between the wild and paved. Winter brings the wilderness down from the mountains, its veil

turning the backyards, neighborhoods, parks and streets into fresh, new landscapes to explore. This

winter, embrace the quiet adventures far and near, reveling in the wilderness of winter.

2013 will be a winter of discovery, as hallmark Atlas ingenuity provides fertile opportunity to spread the

Atlas Cold Front further than ever before. Whether those discoveries occur beyond rugged summits or

wait just outside your front door, Atlas offers a diverse line of innovative new tools uniquely tailored for

the adventure at hand. Discover new summits this winter with the improved binding on our new, lighter

weight Aspect, or merge your exercise and winter recreation with the new Atlas Fitness snowshoe. From new

frontiers to better fitness, Atlas innovations continue to spread the Cold Front to new populations.

As members of the Atlas Cold Front we remain committed to the discovery of winter on foot, and through in-

genuity and outreach we embark to introduce new participants to the wilderness of winter, wherever it may be.

REACTIV-TRAC™ CONSTRUCTION merges the integrated flexibility of a ReactiV™ nose and Spring-

Powerful and efficient traction is applied with the precision and comfort of Atlas’ hallmark articula-

Reengineered to take you higher and deeper than ever before the new Atlas 12 Se-

ries and Elektra 12 Series snowshoes feature their most aggressive traction system yet

while maintaining hallmark Atlas durability and comfort. Literally armed to the teeth

with new traction – the 12 Series’ tenacious, stainless steel Zodiac toe crampon deeply

penetrates even the firmest snow, while the weight-activated, StabiLock Rear Trac-

tion, optimizes weight distribution to its serrated traction elements, for sure footing

on the most technical terrain. The men’s and women’s Wrapp™ Pro bindings feature

FlowTape™ silicone straps that glide through low-friction buckles with a smooth buck-

le release for easy on-off use. The 7075 aluminum frame is the lightest, strongest tub-

build on a legacy as storied as the 12 Series required us to design a snowshoe equipped

The Atlas 8 Series and Elektra 8 Series feature sharp designs and Atlas technology

mainstays at our best values. Patent-pending Free-Rotating™ Suspension cushions each

step, allows natural articulation of the foot, and provides unparalleled freedom of

movement for trail versatility. Both 8 Series snowshoes use the no-fuss, no-hassle

Strapp™ binding, with excellent arch support, gender-specific lasts and Uniloop pull,

all in a minimalist form. Forgiving Nytex decking and our proven aluminum V-Frames

offer superior durability no matter the conditions. Because the biomechanical differ-

ences between a man’s stride and a woman’s are just as important for beginners as

they are for experts, the Elektra 8 Series features our proprietary Elektra frame de-

signed for a woman’s narrower stance.

while our easy-to-use Grom binding ensures that kids aren’t the only ones having fun.

Sized to fit fast-growing adventurers and built with durable materials that stand up to a

sure points and reducing the hassle of straps. The fixed toe cord keeps the snowshoe
