    General Instructions

    1. Each location will have a Central Check-in Point. This will usually be under a tent.Coaches should go there first and let them know your team is on site. They will giveyou promotional items from our sponsors for your team. They will also inform you of anylast minute changes.

    2. Each site will have a Site-Supervisor. This person will be in charge of the games at thatsite. They will determine if the fields are playable at the start of the day and willdetermine if the games can resume if stopped for lightning. The Site-Supervisor will alsoresolve any issues not covered in this handbook.

    3. Each region makes team assignments. The team prefix in the schedules designates theregion and the number represents the assigned team. For example GV3 would be thethird team from Glenview. The regional designations are: DF for Deerfield; GV forGlenview; MG for Morton Grove; HP for Highland Park; SK for SkokieRM forRolling Meadows RM for Rolling Meadows; RP for Rogers Parkand PP for PetersonPark.

    4. If play is suspended, the games missed during the suspension will not be made up.

Once play has resumed, the schedule will be followed as published.5. The schedule refers to field numbers. These numbers should be prominently displayedon the nets for each field. There is also a map of the fields at the Central Check-in Point. Please locate each field your team will be playing on as soon as you get your schedule.

    6. Each game will have a fixed end time (:25 and :55 after the hour). Your game is overthen. Any time lost cannot be made up, so it is in your best interest to be ready to go atyour appointed start time. Also time spent substituting players will come out of playingtime, so be prepared for the substitution breaks.

    7. Each site will sound a horn to signify the end of each game. If the referee has notsignaled the end of the game by the time the horn sounds, he or she should do soimmediately. The teams for the next game get the field at this point.

    8. If your team has games scheduled back-to-back, every effort will be made to have the

second game be on the same or adjacent field as the first game.9. Each location has scheduled referees for the games, however, referees from visiting

teams are encouraged to bring their uniforms and stop by the Central Check-in Point tofill in any open games. Referees should not sign-up for games involving their children

    10. Should there be no referee for your game; each team will provide a coach or a referee fora half of the game. Remember that the person on the field with the children must be aregistered volunteer.

    11. Keep in mind: These games are for fun. Every one should have a good time. Thisincludes the opposing team. Please do all you can to keep scores reasonable.

    12. Each team should have their own first-aid kit to treat minor injuries. The CentralCheck-in Point will have additional first aid supplies. Remember that all cuts must becovered for a child to play.
