Broward County’s Energy & Sustainability Program reached out to our 31 municipalities in 2011 to gather information on the scope and diversity of energy efficiency initiatives and sustainability programs implemented throughout our community. We found an amazing range of programs being implemented, through various departments and staffing possibilities, by local governments both large and small. Results illuminate general trends in program direction, priorities, and funding, but also highlight success stories and identify best management practices. By sharing the survey results, and through the an online clearinghouse and series of face-to-face collaborative workshops, we hope to:

o Produce information that is useful to the participating municipalities and Broward community o Create a platform for cooperatively advancing energy efficiency and sustainability programs o Capture, celebrate and share our collective achievements
