Who We Are
SHRM‐Atlanta, the Atlanta chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management, represents over 2,400 human resource professionals in over 1,500 of Atlanta’s best companies. While affiliated with SHRM at the national level, the chapter operates independently to provide a wide variety of professional development and networking opportunities for Atlanta area HR professionals.
These powerful decision makers join SHRM‐Atlanta with one thing in mind – finding solutions to their organization’s HR challenges. And they’re looking for Resource Partners to help provide the answers… what’s new, what’s in, what’s out, and which products, services and technologies will help them execute their organization’s human resource objectives.
SHRM‐Atlanta seeks to promote the professionalism of the HR management field by offering members a wide variety of professional development opportunities and a common forum in which to share ideas and experiences. In addition to conducting more than 50 educational events each year, the chapter hosts the Annual SHRM‐Atlanta Human Resource Conference, publishes a monthly periodical, and a bi‐weekly electronic publication.
Why should your organization be a Resource Partner?
With more companies looking to outsource HR functions traditionally staffed and accomplished in‐house, it is part of the chapter’s strategic mission to educate its members on the importance of developing relationships with the companies that offer solutions in these functional areas. Gone are the days of the simple vendor relationships. Companies aligned with SHRM‐Atlanta are given recognition as important resources that every HR professional needs to be familiar with in order to accomplish their jobs.

SHRM-Atlanta’s Link with a Leader™ Auction will be one of the most enjoyable, high profile evenings you have spent with your colleagues. Join us for an evening of fine food, drinks, and socializing. There will be an elegant buffet, open bar, live music, and lots of fun! Senior Executives will be “auctioned off” in both silent and live auction events. The highlight of the evening features a live auction during which participants bid for time with executives from some of Atlanta’s highest profile companies. Bidders will have the chance to win valuable one-on-one time with influential senior executives (many times the senior HR Executive is paired with a CEO, CFO or CIO associate) from one of Atlanta’s prestigious companies. There are approximately 30 companies represented in the silent and live auctions with around 300 attendees present at this event. Sponsors and auctionees are invited to an exclusive VIP reception held just prior to the event with opportunity to network with the Auctionees in a private setting.
A portion of the proceeds will go to benefit Children's Healthcare of Atlanta for the 2009
