God named the man Adam All the animals had mates but Adam

didnrsquot have a mate So God said ldquoItisnrsquot good for the man to be alone Iwill make a helper for himrdquo

God made Adam fall into a deepsleep And while he was sleeping God

took one of Adamrsquos ribs and made awoman Eve

When Adam woke up from his sleepGod introduced him to the beautifulEve They were the first family in thenew world God had made God blessed

Adam and Eve He said ldquoHave manychildren Fill up the beautiful world Ihave created for you Enjoy all the foodI have provided and all the animals Imaderdquo God loved them He wantedthem to be His friends forever Godloves us He wants us to be His friends

forever too

bunnies hopped (hop like a bunny)kittens meowed (meow like a kitten)woolly sheep baaed (baa like a sheep)roosters crowed (crow like a rooster)and horses galloped (Make the soundof galloping horses by patting your handson your legs)

When God finished creating all theanimals He said ldquoGo and have manybabies Fill up the beautiful world I havemaderdquo

Godrsquos world was perfect but it

wasnrsquot quite finished There was onemore thing God planned to makeGod said ldquoLet us make man in our

imagerdquo So God made the shape of aman from the dust of the ground (Askyour Adam to come and lie very still onthe floor with his eyes closed) But theman did not move He lay very still onthe ground (If you made flat childrenor play-dough people for a readiness

Godrsquos worldwas perfect ButGod wanted to doone more thingldquoLet us make manin our imagerdquoHe said So Godmade the shapeof a man from the dust of the groundThe man lay very still on the groundHe was not alive

Then God did something that only

God can do He breathed life into themanrsquos nose The man stretched He satup And the very first thing the man sawwas God

God named the man Adam He led Adam into a beautiful garden calledEden ldquoThis garden and everything in itis for you Adam Take care of it for Merdquo

God and Adam watched the animals Adam saw all the animals with theirmates Then God said ldquoIt isnrsquot good forthe man to be alone I will make a mate

for himrdquoSo God made Adam fall into a deep

sleep While he was sleeping God took

one of Adamrsquosribs and with therib he formed awoman When

Adam woke up from his sleep hesaw the beautifulwoman God hadmade Togetherthey would care

for everythingGod had made

for them Adamnamed the womanEve becauseshe was the firstmother in all theworld Adam andEve were the first

family to live onthe new earth

God blessed Adam and Eve ldquoHavemany childrenrdquo He told them ldquoFill upthe beautiful world I have created for

God loved Adam and Eve He wantedthem to be happy to be His friends
