TIM BURTON’S BATMAN This version of the dark knight created the base for all the movies since. The black rubber suit sacrificed mobility for a strong and intimidating look. The added muscles successfully emulated his counterpart in the comic books. THE 19TH CENTURY BATMAN Gotham by Gaslight belongs to a series of graphic novels called ‘Elseworlds’, where several DC heroes are set in alternate realities. Here, Batman hunts down Jack the Ripper in Gotham. A video game based on the novel was later cancelled. THE VAMPIRIC BATMAN Kelley Jones, artist in the Vampire Batman trilogy and the iconic Batman: Knightfall, created a unique look for the dark knight, as a supernatural being hid- ing his muscled silhouette under a mas- sive cape with huge ears on the cowl. BATMAN KNIGHTFALL Aſter Bane incapacitated Bruce Wayne, Jean- Paul Valley took the mantle of Batman and eventually defeated the villain. Valley designed a mechanical Batsuit with metal claws, razor- sharp batarangs (bat-shaped boomerangs), a laser and even a flame thrower. BATMAN A GO-GO Adam West portrayed a not-too-fit caped crusader, wearing a cowl with very short ears and painted eyebrows. The cape, shorts and boots were made of silk and the utility belt carries a gadget to solve any problem at the end of every episode. Part 2 Part 1 1944 DC comics First ever Batmobile cover in the Comics. This became known as 1940s Batmobile. This is also based on the Cord 812 car. 1986 - Frank Miller’s graphic novel Easily the largest Batmobile. This ‘tank’ was created and modified due to riots. The only thing that can damage it isn't from Earth. It shrugs off gunfire, grenades, and rocket launcher attacks, and offers its own array of heavy weaponry. 1973 Batman animated series This Batmobile is the first to feature the yellow bat emblems on the doors. The nose of the car, where the hood is, also has a "V" depression 1966- Batman TV series This Batcycle is a 1965 Harley Davidson with Robin's sidecar — a detachable self-propelled vehicle. 1978 - Batman animated series/comics This is the last of the Futura–type cars. It looks more like a toy. However, the nose was elongated to distract from that. 1957 DC comics A modified version of the 1950 model, based on the 1957 Chrysler 300C. 1964 Batman comics Loosely based on the 1950s Chevrolet Corvette, this comes with Bat Signal.
