RISM is a national professional body incorporating four surveying disciplines, namely, Building Surveying (BS), Geomatic & Land Surveying (GLS), Property Management, Valuation & Estate Agency Surveying (PMVS) and Quantity Surveying (QS). Its current membership stands at close to 9,000 surveyors from the corporate arena, the public sector and the academia. RISM organises the International SurveyorsCongress (ISC) annually since 1999. This ISC is the 18th in the series. The theme for this event is The Resilient Professional – Thriving in a Changing Economy. This 18th ISC aims to look into the fast changing international and domestic economic landscapes in the light of the volatility in the financial, commodity and currency markets; and the transitory advantages business participants can exploit to improve their organisational effectiveness. Prior to this appointment, he was Deputy President & Head, Global Banking where his areas of responsibility covered corporate banking, investment banking, transaction banking, client coverage, global markets and international business for Maybank Group. He joined Maybank as Head of International on 1 January 2009. Datuk Abdul Farid has a Master in Business Administration, Finance from Denver University, USA. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University, University Park, USA, with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting; and the executive education Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Maybank Investment Bank Berhad, Maybank Ageas Holdings Berhad, Board of Commissioners of PT Bank Maybank Indonesia as well as Cagamas Holdings Berhad, Malaysias national mortgage corporation. In addition, he is Chairman of both the Association of Banks in Malaysia (ABM) and Malaysian Electronic Payment System Sdn Bhd (MEPS) as well as the Vice Chairman and a Fellow of the Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB). He is also a member of Investment Panel of Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (KWAP), Asian Bankers Association (ABA) Policy Advocacy Committee and Emerging Markets Advisory Council (EMAC) of Institute of International Finance based in Washington, DC. Datuk Abdul Farid was named CEO of The Year in the ASEAN Business Awards 2015, which recognises outstanding enterprises in the ASEAN business community. He was also awarded the CNBC Asia Business Leader Award for Corporate Social Responsibility in 2015. Recently, he was appointed as a member of the Special Economic Committee (SEC) in Malaysia, a task force that was established to recommend immediate and medium-term economic measures for the country, reporting directly to the Prime Minister of Malaysia. LOI HWEE YONG Mr Loi graduated with a Bachelor of Surveying from the University of Newcastle (Australia) in 1980 under a Colombo Plan Scholarship. He has served in the Ministry of Defence as Head of Survey Branch before leaving for the private sector in 1991. He is a Registered Surveyor in Singapore and is the proprietor of H Y Loi Consultants, a land survey firm. He serves as a member of the Land Surveyors Board (Singapore) since 2009. He has been the President, Land Surveying, Singapore Institute of Surveyors & Valuers since 2009 and is the current Chairman of its Central Management Committee. During his tenure, he has spearheaded programmes in education in Land Surveying to resolve prevailing manpower issues and to raise the competence level in the practices. He also rallied the fraternity and the authorities to work towards raising the service levels to serve the community better and to ensure the continued progress of land surveying practices. He is a strong advocate of land surveying staying relevant to the community by evolving with technological changes and customerschanging needs. CHAIRPERSONS KEYNOTE PLENARY SESSION SPEAKERS PANELISTS MICHAEL LUKE Michael Luke started his career in the finance sector more than 15 years ago specialising in transaction advisory relating to merger and acquisition activities and corporate restructuring and now holds several senior positions, shareholdings and also being board member in the advisory boards of various companies. The duties and responsibilities of these positions comprising financial and business analysis, identification of weak business components, design and implement financial and operational procedures and policies to grow the companies through measuring and monitoring of shareholders value instead of depending merely on revenue and profit data from the financial statements. Michael Luke has dedicated past several years in understanding and deliberating the fundamental scientific principles of business valuation against “less-discussed” moral principles arising from corporate agency discrepancy through the perspective of epistemological stance; seeking justification and acceptance on highly debated topic on “Reliability versus Defensibility” in business valuation. He is also an avid learner with constant appetite for new perspectives and faculties in finance and laws where he had acquired several honour certificates in Justice, Contracts, European Business Law, Credit Risk Management, Macroeconomic Accounts, Forensic Accounting & Fraud, and Behavioural Economics, among others from Harvard University, Lund University, West Virginia University and University of Toronto after his completion of MBA with specialisation track in finance and accounting from University of Liverpool. He is also a member of Singapore Corporate Counsel Association (SCCA), Association of Certified Fraud Examiner (ACFE) and a former resident advisor for International Enterprise Singapore (IE Singapore). He is also the Managing Director of RXM Advisory Pte Ltd. Singapore. NADIAH TAN ABDULLAH Nadiah has been in the HR line for more than 20 years with focus on Organizational Development and Change Management. Her experiences span across both local and multinationals in various industries with local/regional and HQ roles. A graduate of BA International Relations from the UK, she started her career as a HR trainee. Her general experience has been to drive the people agenda and primarily anchored upon HR work however her long tenure in the market in diverse multinationals and industries have given her an edge to Change Management in the broader organizations perspective. Her expertise lies in driving Change initiatives with focus on Employee Engagement, Leadership and Culture through her intense OD involvement in global companies such as SKF Bearings, Danone, Nestle, British American Tobacco and Microsoft. Her passion has always been in the work around Women and Leadership and has been appointed as a Diversity Advocate by TalentCorp since 2013. At the same time, she is a pioneer member for the CyberJaya Women Network. On the HR front, she has also been recently appointed to be part of a core steering Committee Member for the Malaysian Institute of Human Resource Management (MIHRM). LILY LAU Lily has trained and facilitated more than 100 training workshops on culture, diversity, bridging generation gap, communication, interpersonal skills, and corporate culture transformation. She applies uses Directive Communication Psychology in her training delivery. She has written articles on generational, cross-cultural and communication issues which were published in MyStarJob newspapers, Smart Investors and Asian Quality magazines. Lily was interviewed on BFM radio in Malaysia on Malaysian generations and featured as a Directive Communication expert on the NTV7 Breakfast Show. She is the Managing Director of Culture Dynamics (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. JIM HORVATH For over 30 years, Jim has specialized in business and securities valuations, and related intellectual property. Having completed over 3,000 valuation assignments, including the supervision of large, complex multidiscipline valuation engagements, he has worked in a wide variety of industries and given expert testimony on valuation matters on multiple engagements. Jim also has extensive international experience, having worked on valuations, mergers, and acquisitions in 70 countries. He has authored several books and numerous articles on valuation, and both in Canada and internationally is a frequent speaker on valuation methods and issues.Jim was former National Leader and 19 years as Toronto office Leader [Partner] of Deloittes Business Valuation service line. He was with Deloitte from 1985 to 2009, including 21 years as a Partner (1988 to 2009). Currently, Jim is a Managing Director with ValuQuest, which has offices in Canada, Australia, and USA. Jim is also the Chair of The International Association of Consultants, Valuators and Analysts (IACVA), USA with approximately 5,500 members worldwide. The majority of the members are from Asia. DR. SUFIAN JUSOH Dr. Sufian Jusoh is the Senior Fellow at the Institute of Malaysian and International Studies, National University of Malaysia and Senior External Fellow of the World Trade Institute, University of Bern, Switzerland. He is also a Distinguished Fellow at the Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia. Dr. Sufian is a Barrister-at-Law (England and Wales) of Lincolns Inn, London. He holds an LL.B from Cardiff Law School, an LL.M (Merit), University College London and a Doctor in Law (summa Cum Laude) from University of Bern, Switzerland. Dr. Sufian is a world-renowned expert in international trade, international investment and intellectual property (IP) management and intellectual property valuation. He coordinates World Trade Institutes consultancy and training programmes in the field of international trade, investment and IP in Southeast Asia. Dr. Sufian is also an Investment Law Expert at the World Bank Group Trade and Competitiveness. He is also a consultant in investment policy and liberalisation of services for ASEAN. Dr. Sufian has also been a consultant to many countries and international organisations such as the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, the World Intellectual Property Organisation, United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, the World Bank, APEC High Level Policy Dialogue on Biotechnology and Asian Development Bank. WAN WADRINA WAN ABDUL WAHAB Wan Wadrina Wan Abdul Wahab serves as a Senior Principal Assistant Director in the Strategic Negotiations Division since November 2015, previously she served in the Services Sector Development Division, Ministry of International Trade from November 2010. Prior to assuming her previous position, she was serving as an economic counselor at the Malaysia Permanent Representative to the WTO office in Geneva, Switzerland from 2007 – 2010. She joined the Malaysian Administrative and Diplomatic Service in 2003 and has served the Ministry of International Trade and Industry since then. Before joining the service, she worked in a small legal law firm for two years. At the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI), her first post in MITI was as Assistant Director of the Multilateral Trade, Policy and Negotiation Division, a division that mainly deals with Malaysias participation in the WTO, formulation of national positions in multilateral negotiations as well as a number of Free Trade Agreements. In her current position, the Strategic Negotiations Division looks into coordination and formulation of strategies for free trade agreements and working together with stakeholders from both the government and private sector. Wadrina is also involved in some bilateral and regional negotiations including review such as the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP) involving ASEAN with her six FTA partners, , Malaysia European Economic Partnership Agreement and apart from the Trade Pacific Partnership Agreement. Wadrina graduated from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom with a Bachelor of Law (LLB) and further went on to obtained a Certificate of Legal Practise (CLP) from the University of Malaya, Malaysia. DATOSR K. SRI KANDAN, FRISM DatoSri Kandan is a well recognized consultant in construction cost and contract management in the Construction Industry in Malaysia and the region. He has over thirty five (35) yearsexperience in construction cost and contract management of many large and prestigious projects. His vast experience includes various commercial and residential projects, universities, hospitals, convention and civic centers, airports and sports facilities. He is presently the Chairman of AECOM Malaysia Sdn Bhd and Managing Director of KPK Quantity Surveyors (Semenanjung) Sdn Bhd. His professional contributions include representation in various committees of the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM), Construction Industry Development Board Malaysia (CDIB), the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (AIQS) and SIRIM Berhad. He serves on the Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia (BQSM) and is Chairman of the Ethics Committee.He serves as Council Member of the Malaysia Singapore Business Council (MSBC). He is also an accredited mediator with the Construction Industry Development Board Malaysia (CIDB). IR. TAN YEAN CHIN Ir. Tan Yean Chin is currently the President of The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM) and board member of The Board of Engineer (BEM). Ir. Tan also holds the position of Secretary General of the Federation of Engineering Institutions of Asia and the Pacific (FEIAP), an independent umbrella organisation for the engineering institutions in the Asia and the Pacific region. Ir. Tan is a Professional Engineer and an Accredited Checker (Geotechnical) registered with the BEM and holds the position of Senior Director in G&P Professionals Sdn Bhd, a multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm. Ir. Tan has published more than 70 technical papers on geotechnical engineering in local and overseas conferences and seminars. MATTHEW TEE Matthew Tee is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA). He is also a Certified Financial Planner and a Certified Practising Accountant, Australia [CPA]. Currently, he is the Group Executive Director of Bina Puri Holdings Bhd, a public listed company on Malaysia's stock exchange that deals with construction, property development, utilities and highway concession. He has been with the Group since December 2003 and is in-charge of group operational matters, reporting directly to the Group Managing Director. His main task is to ensure that the decisions made are implemented accordingly together with corrective, preventive and improvement measurements. He is an Executive Director of KL-Kuala Selangor Expressway Bhd and is actively involves in the planning, construction and overseeing the management of the 33km highway concession in Greater Kuala Lumpur. Matthew Tee is currently the President of Master Builders Association of Malaysia for term 2012-2014 and 2014-2016. At present, he sits in the Board of Directors of Construction Industry Development Board Malaysia (CIDB) and Construction Labour Exchange Centre Berhad (CLAB). He is also the Honorary Treasurer General of Malaysian Steel Structural Association (MSSA) and 2nd Vice President of the International Federation of Asian and Western Pacific ContractorsAssociation (IFAWPCA). GEOMATIC & LAND SURVEYING (GLS) AHMAD JESSREE KAMARUDDIN Ahmad Jessree Kamaruddin is a senior statistician at the Department of Statistics, Malaysia. He graduated with a Bachelor of Mathematics from UPM. He began his career as a statistician in 1994. Currently he works as a Deputy Director of Population and Demography Division and also act as the head of Geospatial Section. LIM CHOR SHENG Mr. Lim Chor Sheng is Managing Director for GPS Lands (M) Sdn Bhd. He has 15 years experiences in Geospatial and Mapping Industries. He was a Research Officer for Agency Remote Sensing Malaysia after graduated with Bachelor Degree in Geography from University of Malaya in 2002. He attended RIEGL Worldwide TLS Training from RIEGL Laser Measurement GmbH in Austria and was awarded with Trimble Certified Trainer (MGIS) by Trimble Navigation Limited. His current interest is on LiDAR solution – compromising Airborne, UAV, Mobile and Terrestrial LiDAR. XU WEN CHONG Wenzhong Xu founded KQ GEO Technologies in 2001 and serves as General Director, devoting his knowledge and expertise in Geo-information to lead the company to become one of the most successful Chinese enterprises with incorporated software & hardware research and surveying & mapping service in 3S business. Via his on-going significant contribution to KQ GEO Technologiess success, Mr. Xu has garnered invaluable experience in various projects, including The First National Geographic Survey Project of Beijing and The Second Land Survey of Beijing Urban Area etc. He was Vice President of China Association for Geographic Information Society (CAGIS). Currently he is member of CAGISs expert database. DR. YEAH KIM LENG He joined Malaysia University of Science and Technology (MUST) as the Dean of the Business School in May 2014 following a 20-year stint at RAM Holdings Berhad, the countrys first domestic credit rating agency. While at the domestic rating agency, he had headed the Economics and Market Research Department during the initial 6 years followed by a 7-year stint as Managing Director-cum-Chief Economist of RAM Consultancy Services Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of the rating agency that was incorporated to provide research and advisory services. He had extensive involvement in numerous consultancy and research projects for both the private and public sectors, including regional and national economic studies, industry research projects and strategic advisory services for several large Malaysian corporations. He is currently a Vice-President of the Malaysian Economic Association, a trustee of the Malaysian Tax Research Foundation, a member of the National Consumer Advisory Council at the Ministry of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism and an External Member of Bank Negara Malaysias Monetary Policy Committee. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Forestry) from Universiti Pertanian Malaysia and an MBA and a PhD in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of Hawaii, USA, both obtained under the East-West Center degree participant programme. SR LIM KOK SANG, FRISM Sr Lim Kok Sang holds a BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying, MSc Project Management (Construction), LLM Construction Law & Arbitration, FRICS, MCIArb, MCIOB, MSCSI, Reg. QS (BQSM). Sang is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia and currently the Deputy Vice President (QS Division), the Deputy Chair of the Education & Accreditation Board and Secretary of the Exam Board. Sang has over 20 years of working experience in quantity surveying, construction cost consultancy, contract administration and project management in Malaysia, Ireland and the UAE. He is the Principal of Sang QS Consult. SR KHAIDZIR ABDUL RASIP, FRISM Sr Khaidzir is a Chartered Valuation Surveyor by profession with over 28 years of working experience covering the private, public and corporate sectors in United Kingdom and Malaysia. Graduated in 1988 from University of South Wales, he started his professional training in 1986 with an international firm of property consultants in the City of London and upon graduation with one of the London Borough Councils. Upon returning to Malaysia in 1990, he joined reputable property consultancy firms and gained further experience in the areas of valuation, research and consultancy, estate agency, and property management. Subsequently, he entered the corporate world involved in the whole spectrum of property development; responsible for strategic and development planning, business development, marketing and sales, branding and customer relations, and asset management and investment; with conglomerates such as Johor Corporation, Sime Darby, Golden Hope, UEM and Lembaga Tabung Haji. Sr Khaidzir joined IRDA in 2009 assigned to various positions in the Social Development, Flagship Development, Economics & Investment and now Strategic Communications divisions with specific role as the subject matter expert in property as well as engaging with the commercial stakeholders in Iskandar Malaysia. He is a Fellow of both the Royal Institution of Surveyors, Malaysia and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, United Kingdom and is the incumbent Honorary Secretary of the PMVS Division. SR HJ. MOHD AMIN MOHD DIN, FRISM Sr Mohd. Amin bin Mohd. Din was elected to the council of RISM and currently is one of the VPs representing BS Division for sixth consecutive terms of 2011-16. He is an active councillor and often represents RISM on various occasions and functions in the MOW, Housing and Local Government, Higher Education, Finance, NRE, MOSTI and MITI. This includes forums, TC and seminars with agencies such as SIRIM, Standards Malaysia, CIDB, DBKL and panel members of the Disciplinary Committees of the Advocators and Solicitors, Bar Council of Malaysia.He joined as an academic staff of UiTM since he returned from his studies in Scotland in 1984 and placed interests in the fields of BS, CM, Environmental Sciences and Acoustics. His career as a lecturer includes additional responsibilities as one of the officers in the Students Affairs Department, HOD of the Building Surveying and Construction Management Programmes. He was the Deputy Director of the Development Division, responsible for planning, execution and maintenance of the main and all branch campuses. General Amin as he is often called by his allies was an active reserved officer of the Malaysian Army. He was the Commander of the 515 Infantry Regiment of Territorial Army, MOD, until his retirement in 2014. Sr Amin is also a Member RICS, Member Institute of Acoustics UK and Member CIOB, UK. He was conferred with the award of Pahlawan Angkatan Tentera (PAT) in 2008 by the HRH Yang diPertuan Agong in recognition of his participation in the Malaysian Army. PROPERTY MANAGEMENT, VALUATION & ESTATE AGENCY SURVEYING (PMVS) SR ISHAK ISMAIL, FRISM Sr. Tuan Haji Ishak Ismail is the Founder and Managing Director of IM Global Property Consultants Sdn Bhd, the property consulting firm registered with BOVEA. He has been in real estate practice since 1991 and a licensed Registered Valuer, Registered Estate Agent and Registered Property Manager in 1998. He has been registered with Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyor (RICS) as a Chartered Surveyor since 2008. In 2015, he has been accredited as an International Certified Valuation Specialist or Business Valuer by IACVA. He also actively involved in auction industry since 1992 after obtaining license to conduct an auction for the state of Wilayah Persekutuan, Selangor and Penang. He holds a Diploma in Valuation and Bachelor in Surveyors (Property Management) from UTM and Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from International Islamic University, Malaysia. His has served the professional NGO since 1990. He is currently the elected President of Muslim Real Estate Negotiators Malaysia (PEHAM), the Chairman of Building Management Board of the RISM, past President of MIPPM, Member of RICS, Member of PEPS and Member of MIEA. He was also the immediate past Chairman of Baiduri Management Corporation. He is currently the expert panel for NAPREC, INSPEN since 2012 and appointed as the property advisory panel to PUNB and one of the members of the BOVEA Malaysia. In June 2015, he was appointed as an Adjunc Professor of University Malaya. SR S. PREVINDRAN, FRISM Previn is the CEO of Zerin Properties and has been in the business for more than 20 years with the past 14 years in Zerin Properties which he formed in January 14 2002. Previn is highly involved in the Corporate Real Estate Market in Malaysia with hands on transactions in the Office, Retail, Industrial and Hospitality sectors. Previn and his elite team at Zerin Properties have been continuously closing landmark deals in Malaysia and the region, earning them numerous international awards along the way. SR ELVIN FERNANDEZ, PPRISM, FRISM Sr Elvin Fernandez is the Managing Director of Khong & Jaafar and an Independent Non- Executive Director of Sunway REIT. He is a Past President of RISM and PEPS and a Past Chairman of the International Valuation Standards Council. He also served the Board of Valuers as a Member/Exco Member from 1993 till 2007. Sr Elvin is a Fellow of RICS and the Institution of Valuers India. He is a member of the RICS Malaysia Board, National Committee Member of FIABCI and the Malaysian Institute of Professional Property Managers. He was awarded “Property Consultant of the Year 2005” by the Board of Valuers in 2006. On 20 May 2011 he was conferred with “Professional Excellence” Award in the “Engineering, Construction & Property” Category by Balai Ikhtisas Malaysia. In May 2008, he was appointed as a Consultant for the establishment of a REIT Framework) by the Securities Commission of Pakistan. Sr Elvin was invited by the China Appraisal Society in 2013 to advise them on their proposed valuation law. He was conferred with “Valuer of the Year 2013” Award by the Valuation Division of the RISM in 2014. On 12 December 2015, he was presented with a Honorary Membership of the International Association of Consultants, Valuators and Analysts (IACVA) in recognition of his contributions to the global valuation profession. He has written and presented about 200 papers topics for conferences since 1991 in Malaysia and overseas. Features regularly on property related articles in local newspapers. BUILDING SURVEYING (BS) ASSOC. PROF MADYA SR DR. HJ AHMAD EZANEE HASHIM, FRISM Prof. Madya Sr Dr Hj. Ahmad Ezanee Hashim is a Senior Lecturer with the Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). He is part of the committee that set up the MSc in Facilities Management programme for UiTM. He also contributed in the development of the Building Surveyors Bill and the Guidelines for Code of Practice for Building Inspection Reports. He holds professional memberships in the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia and the Chartered Institute of Building. His areas of expertise includes the establishment of audit procedures for condition assessment/asset performance/asset refurbishment; training modules for roof installation and construction of bridges; and consultancy services in dilapidation, building condition survey, risk assessment and building control. He is also the Technical Examiner for the Malaysian Qualification Assurance (MQA) and an external examiner for local and foreign universities. He had presented more than 70 papers at various international and local conferences. PROF. SR DR. AZLAN SHAH ALI, FRISM Azlan Shah Ali is a professor in the Department of Building Surveying, Faculty of Built Environment, University of Malaya (UM), Kuala Lumpur. He was promoted to the full professor post in July 2013, which make him as one of the youngest professors in the University. Dr. Azlan is also currently a Visiting Professor at School of Built Environment, Liverpool John Moores University, UK. He has held various responsibilities in the academic administration including an Acting Dean, Deputy Dean and Head of Department of the Faculty of Built Environment, UM. Previously, he worked with the building industry since 1998. Dr. Azlan completed his PhD at Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia specialising in building refurbishment. His research interests lie in the area of building maintenance and refurbishment with the focus to improve management strategies. He has collaborated actively with researchers in several other disciplines of built environment, particularly surveying and architecture local and internationally. ASSOC. PROF. SR DR. ADI IRFAN CHE ANI, FRISM Adi Irfan Che-Ani (Sr Dr.) is currently an Associate Professor at Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia – UKM (The National University of Malaysia) and also the Deputy Director (Academic), Pusat Citra Universiti – Citra UKM. He attained his PhD from University of Malaya, Malaysia in the discipline of facility management (performance measurement). His research interests are focused on Building Condition Assessment-BCA (Condition Index), Building Information Modelling (BIM)-based BCA, and Soft skills & Student Competency. By profession, he is a Registered and Professional Building Surveyor in Malaysia, Chartered Building Engineer (UK) and Committee Member of Malaysian Association of Registered Building Surveyors (MyRBS). He is also a Fellow Member of The Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE), United Kingdom and a Malaysian Green Building Index (GBI) Certified Facilitator. Sr Dr. Adi actively involved in many research and to date have published more than 350 documents comprises of international and national indexed journals, proceedings, conferences, invited/keynote papers, technical reports and bulletin/magazine in relation to his research interest. His consultancy works mainly covers the building condition survey and inspection. He is The Founder of Condition Survey Protocol (CSP) 1 Matrix, an analytical tool for building condition survey work; and Chief Editor for Journal of Building Performance, published by UKM Department of Architecture and Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM) Building Surveying Division. He is also the recipient of the Young Building Surveyor Award 2013. SR DR. NOORDIN AHMAD, FRISM Dr. Noordin Ahmad is currently the Director General of the National Space Agency of Malaysia (ANGKASA). He obtained his Geomatics degree from University of Melbourne, Australia in 1984 and PhD in GPS Positioning from University of Newcastle, UK in 1988. Prior to joining ANGKASA, he was a Geospatial consultant for 13 years involving in many GIS, GNSS and RemoteSensing consultancy works. He is also an adjunct lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UTM) since 1998 with more than 50 journal papers and has supervised more than 30 Masters and PhD research graduates. He is actively involved in the Geospatial sector and members of several technical committees on GNSS and GIS both locally and at regional level. He has won several prestigious awards and competitions at international level such as British High Commissioner Award, Gold award for invention at Geneva, Switzerland and Nuremburg, Germany; Asia Geospatial Excellence Award and GNSS Asia Challenge. DATO' SR HASAN JAMIL, PPRISM, FRISM YBhg. Dato' Sr Hasan Jamil is the Deputy Director General I, Department of Survey and Mapping Malaysia (JUPEM) since April 10, 2014. He is also the Deputy Chairman of the Land Surveyors Board Malaysia, Chairman of Technical Committee 2 / SIRIM on Geographic Information Standards and Chairman of Framework Technical Committee, Malaysian Geospatial Data Infrastructure. He holds a Master Degree in Geographical Information System from University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom and a Bachelor Degree in Survey (Land) from University of Technology Malaysia. He has previously served in various capacities since 1979 with JUPEM in the States of Terengganu, Kelantan, Sabah, Penang, Selangor, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur/ Putrajaya and JUPEM Headquarters in Kuala Lumpur. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM), President of RISM for Session 2014/2015 and Chairman of the Geomatics and Land Surveying Division, RISM for Session 2010/2013 as well as a Registered Land Surveyor. DATOSR LAU WAI SEANG, FRISM DatoSr Lau Wai Seang is the Deputy President of the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia as well as the Regional President of Asia, Commonwealth Association of Surveying and Land Economy (CASLE). She is a Fellow of RISM. Her professional qualifications include: ICVS – International Certified Valuation Specialist, IACVA (International Association of Consultants, Valuators and Analysists), USA; CIPV – Certified Intellectual Property Valuer, a certification by MyIPO (Malaysian Intellectual Property Corporation) and World Trade Institute, University of Berne, Switzerland; Registered Valuer and Registered Estate Agent, both registrations are from the Board of Valuers, Appraisers and Estate Agents, Malaysia. DatoSr Laus academic qualifications includes: MBA (Real Estate), University of Western Sydney, Australia; Bachelor of Survey (Property Management), University of Technology Malaysia. She started her valuation career with the Valuation and Property Services Department (JPPH), Ministry of Finance, Malaysia and headed many State Director posts. Her working experience included handling international and professional training courses and research activities. Her last post before retiring from civil service was Director of Valuation Services Division, HQ of JPPH, Putrajaya. Her experience on the real estate realm had progressed onto that of Business Valuation and Intellectual Property Valuation. Currently she is the Head of Valuation, Asia Pacific Centre of Economic Diplomacy (APCED), an agency in the consultancy service of Intellectual Property and International Diplomacy. Over the years, DatoSr Lau had presented many papers and chaired various sessions, both locally and on an international platform. YB SENATOR TAN SRI DATOSR ABDUL RAHIM RAHMAN, PPRISM, FRISM Senator Tan Sri Abdul Rahim has had more than 47 years experience in the real estate industry and is currently the Executive Chairman of Rahim & Co International Sdn Bhd with 18 offices nationwide.Tan Sri Rahim has served as a member of the Board of Valuers, Appraisers & Estate Agents Malaysia. He is Past Presidents of RISM, FIABCI Malaysian Chapter, PEPS and the Asia Pacific Real Estate Federation. He is currently an Adjunct Professor of UiTM and President of the Malaysian Senators Council. PROF. SR DR. HJH WAN MAIMUN WAN ABDULLAH, PPRISM, FRISM Prof. Sr Dr. Wan Maimun graduated in B.Sc (Hons) QS from UTM in 1981 and subsequently MBA from Aston University and PhD from UM. Currently she is Director of Khalid Ahmad Architects, sits in the Board of Director of AZSB, and visiting Professor for UTM. Her career in construction spans 34 years in both public and private sectors. She was RISM 49th President making her the first lady president in RISM history. Currently she holds the post of President of Association of Women in Construction Malaysia, Vice-President of Association of Construction project Manager, RISM Councillor, BQSM Board Member, and NAPSEC council member. She is also Chairman of QS Accreditation Council and QS Examination Council and sits in various national working committees of CIDB. She provides training and presented papers in seminars nationally and internationally. In 2012 she was awarded the prestigious RISM “Malaysian Surveyor of the Year Award” and in 2014 the inaugural CIDB “Construction Leading Lady”. QUANTITY SURVEYING (QS) SR MOHAMAD SHAZALI BIN SULAIMAN, FRISM Sr Mohamad Shazali Bin Sulaiman is currently an Associate of KA Associates, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. He has 15 years of quantity surveying professional experience. His experiences are mainly in areas of quantity surveying, construction cost management and construction contracts and has had first hand involvement in a variety of projects like office complex, residential development, clinics, university, schools and large infrastructure development such as highways, water retaining structure and major sewerage system. He has served with prominent clients, both in the private and public sector. He is currently the Secretary of the Quantity Surveying Division of the Royal Institution of Surveyors, Malaysia and active member of the Young PAQS Group. In 2014, the Board of Quantity Surveyors, Malaysia awarded him with Anugerah Inspirasi LJBM 2014 for his achievement and contribution to the industry. SR AZITA MOHAMED TAHIR, FRISM Sr. Azita Mohamed Tahir is the Head of Procurement in Mass Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd, which is the Project Developer and Asset Owner of Mass Rapid Transit projects in Klang Valley from Sg Buloh to Kajang (MRT SBK Line 1) and from Sg Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya (MRT SSP Line 2). Sr Azita has over two decades of work experience in infrastructure development with expertise in pre- and post-contract procurement administration. Before she assumed this role, she was the Head of Procurement for Projek Lebuhraya Usahasama Berhad (PLUS), which is the largest toll expressway operator in Malaysia and amongst the largest in South East Asia. Prior to that she was working for Juru Ukur Bahan Malaysia (in association with then-Davis Langdon & Seah Malaysia) in both Johor Bahru and Kuala Lumpur offices. She has also worked for York City Council in the United Kingdom.Sr Azita graduated from the University of Salford with BSc.(Hons) in Quantity Surveying in 1992. She pursued Postgraduate Diploma in Arbitration from the College of Estate Management in Reading, United Kingdom in 2002 and obtained a Master of Business Administration degree from Victoria University, Melbourne, Australia in 2015. She is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia, a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, United Kingdom and also a Fellow to the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, United Kingdom. RISM is a national professional body incorporating four surveying disciplines, namely, Building Surveying (BS), Geomatic & Land Surveying (GLS), Property Management, Valuation & Estate Agency Surveying (PMVS) and Quantity Surveying (QS). Its current membership stands at close to 9,000 surveyors from the corporate arena, the public sector and the academia.RISM organises the International Surveyors’ Congress (ISC) annually since 1999. This ISC is the 18th in the series. LOI HWEE YONGMr Loi graduated with a Bachelor of Surveying from the University of Newcastle (Australia) in 1980 under a Colombo Plan Scholarship. He has served in the Ministry of Defence as Head of Survey Branch before leaving for the private sector in 1991. He is a Registered Surveyor in Singapore and is the proprietor of H Y Loi Consultants, a land survey firm. He serves as a member of the Land Surveyors Board (Singapore) since 2009. He has been the President, Land Surveying, Singapore Institute of Surveyors & Valuers since 2009 and is the current Chairman of its Central Management Committee. During his tenure, he has spearheaded programmes in education in Land Surveying to resolve prevailing manpower issues and to raise the competence level in the practices. He also rallied the fraternity and the authorities to work towards raising the service levels to serve the community better and to ensure the continued progress of land surveying practices. He is a strong advocate of land surveying staying relevant to the community by evolving with technological changes and customers’ changing needs.

MICHAEL LUKEMichael Luke started his career in the finance sector more than 15 years ago specialising in transaction advisory relating to merger and acquisition activities and corporate restructuring and now holds several senior positions, shareholdings and also being board member in the advisory boards of various companies. The duties and responsibilities of these positions comprising financial and business analysis, identification of weak business components, design and implement financial and operational procedures and policies to grow the companies through measuring and monitoring of shareholder’s value instead of depending merely on revenue and profit data from the financial statements. Michael Luke has dedicated past several years in understanding and deliberating the fundamental scientific principles of business valuation against “less-discussed” moral principles arising from corporate agency discrepancy through the perspective of epistemological stance; seeking justification and acceptance on highly debated topic on “Reliability versus Defensibility” in

business valuation. He is also an avid learner with constant appetite for new perspectives and faculties in finance and laws where he had acquired several honour certificates in Justice, Contracts, European Business Law, Credit Risk Management, Macroeconomic Accounts, Forensic Accounting & Fraud, and Behavioural Economics, among others from Harvard University, Lund University, West Virginia University and University of Toronto after his completion of MBA with specialisation track in finance and accounting from University of Liverpool. He is also a member of Singapore Corporate Counsel Association (SCCA), Association of Certified Fraud Examiner (ACFE) and a former resident advisor for International Enterprise Singapore (IE Singapore). He is also the Managing Director of RXM Advisory Pte Ltd. Singapore.

NADIAH TAN ABDULLAHNadiah has been in the HR line for more than 20 years with focus on Organizational Development and Change Management. Her experiences span across both local and multinationals in various industries with local/regional and HQ roles. A graduate of BA International Relations from the UK, she started her career as a HR trainee. Her general experience has been to drive the people agenda and primarily anchored upon HR work however her long tenure in the market in diverse multinationals and industries have given her an edge to Change Management in the broader organization’s perspective. Her expertise lies in driving Change initiatives with focus on Employee Engagement, Leadership and Culture through her intense OD involvement in global companies such as SKF Bearings, Danone, Nestle, British American Tobacco and Microsoft. Her passion has always been in the work around Women and Leadership and has been appointed as a Diversity Advocate by TalentCorp since 2013. LILY LAULily has trained and facilitated more than 100 training workshops on culture, diversity, bridging generation gap, communication, interpersonal skills, and corporate culture transformation. She applies uses Directive Communication Psychology in her training delivery. She has written articles on generational, cross-cultural and communication issues which were published in MyStarJob newspapers, Smart Investors and Asian Quality magazines. Lily was interviewed on BFM radio in Malaysia on Malaysian generations and featured as a Directive Communication expert on the NTV7 Breakfast Show. JIM HORVATHFor over 30 years, Jim has specialized in business and securities valuations, and related intellectual property. Having completed over 3,000 valuation assignments, including the supervision of large, complex multidiscipline valuation engagements, he has worked in a wide variety of industries and given expert testimony on valuation matters on multiple engagements. Jim also has extensive international experience, having worked on valuations, mergers, and acquisitions in 70 countries. He has authored several books and numerous articles on valuation, and both in Canada and internationally is a frequent speaker on valuation methods and issues.Jim was former National Leader and 19 years as Toronto office Leader [Partner] of Deloitte’s Business Valuation service line. He was with Deloitte from 1985 to 2009, including 21 years as a Partner (1988 to 2009). Currently, Jim is a Managing Director with ValuQuest, which has offices in Canada, Australia, and USA. Jim is also the Chair of The International Association of Consultants, Valuators and Analysts

(IACVA), USA with approximately 5,500 members worldwide. The majority of the members are from Asia.

DR. SUFIAN JUSOHDr. Sufian Jusoh is the Senior Fellow at the Institute of Malaysian and International Studies, National University of Malaysia and Senior External Fellow of the World Trade Institute, University of Bern, Switzerland. He is also a Distinguished Fellow at the Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia. Dr. Sufian is a Barrister-at-Law (England and Wales) of Lincoln’s Inn, London. He holds an LL.B from Cardiff Law School, an LL.M (Merit), University College London and a Doctor in Law (summa Cum Laude) from University of Bern, Switzerland. Dr. Sufian is a world-renowned expert in international trade, international investment and intellectual property (IP) management and intellectual property valuation. He coordinates World Trade Institute’s consultancy and training programmes in the field of international trade, investment and IP in Southeast Asia. Dr. Sufian is also an Investment Law Expert at the World Bank Group Trade and Competitiveness. He is also a consultant in investment policy and liberalisation of services for

ASEAN. Dr. Sufian has also been a consultant to many countries and international organisations such as the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, the World Intellectual Property Organisation, United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, the World Bank, APEC High Level Policy Dialogue on Biotechnology and Asian Development Bank.

WAN WADRINA WAN ABDUL WAHABWan Wadrina Wan Abdul Wahab serves as a Senior Principal Assistant Director in the Strategic Negotiations Division since November 2015, previously she served in the Services Sector Development Division, Ministry of International Trade from November 2010. Prior to assuming her previous position, she was serving as an economic counselor at the Malaysia Permanent Representative to the WTO office in Geneva, Switzerland from 2007 – 2010. She joined the Malaysian Administrative and Diplomatic Service in 2003 and has served the Ministry of International Trade and Industry since then. Before joining the service, she worked in a small legal law firm for two years. At the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI), her first post in MITI was as Assistant Director of the Multilateral Trade, Policy and Negotiation Division, a division that mainly deals with Malaysia’s participation in the WTO, formulation of national positions in multilateral negotiations as well as a number of Free Trade Agreements. In her current position, the Strategic Negotiations Division

looks into coordination and formulation of strategies for free trade agreements and working together with stakeholders from both the government and private sector. Wadrina is also involved in some bilateral and regional negotiations including review such as the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP) involving ASEAN with her six FTA partners, , Malaysia European Economic Partnership Agreement and apart from the Trade Pacific Partnership Agreement. Wadrina graduated from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom with a Bachelor of Law (LLB) and further went on to obtained a Certificate of Legal Practise (CLP) from the University of Malaya, Malaysia.

DATO’ SR K. SRI KANDAN, FRISMDato’ Sri Kandan is a well recognized consultant in construction cost and contract management in the Construction Industry in Malaysia and the region. He has over thirty five (35) years’ experience in construction cost and contract management of many large and prestigious projects. His vast experience includes various commercial and residential projects, universities, hospitals, convention and civic centers, airports and sports facilities. He is presently the Chairman of AECOM Malaysia Sdn Bhd and Managing Director of KPK Quantity Surveyors (Semenanjung) Sdn Bhd. His professional contributions include representation in various committees of the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM), Construction Industry Development Board Malaysia (CDIB), the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (AIQS) and SIRIM Berhad. He serves on the Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia (BQSM) and is Chairman of the Ethics Committee.He serves as Council Member of the Malaysia Singapore Business Council (MSBC). He is also an accredited mediator with the

Construction Industry Development Board Malaysia (CIDB).

IR. TAN YEAN CHINIr. Tan Yean Chin is currently the President of The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM) and board member of The Board of Engineer (BEM). Ir. Tan also holds the position of Secretary General of the Federation of Engineering Institutions of Asia and the Pacific (FEIAP), an independent umbrella organisation for the engineering institutions in the Asia and the Pacific region. Ir. Tan is a Professional Engineer and an Accredited Checker (Geotechnical) registered with the BEM and holds the position of Senior Director in G&P Professionals Sdn Bhd, a multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm. Ir. Tan has published more than 70 technical papers on geotechnical engineering in local and overseas conferences and seminars.

MATTHEW TEEMatthew Tee is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA). He is also a Certified Financial Planner and a Certified Practising Accountant, Australia [CPA]. Currently, he is the Group Executive Director of Bina Puri Holdings Bhd, a public listed company on Malaysia's stock exchange that deals with construction, property development, utilities and highway concession. He has been with the Group since December 2003 and is in-charge of group operational matters, reporting directly to the Group Managing Director. His main task is to ensure that the decisions made are implemented accordingly together with corrective, preventive and improvement measurements. He is an Executive Director of KL-Kuala Selangor Expressway Bhd and is actively involves in the planning, construction and overseeing the management of the 33km highway concession in Greater Kuala Lumpur. Matthew Tee is currently the President of Master Builders Association of Malaysia for term 2012-2014 and 2014-2016. At present, he sits in the Board of

Directors of Construction Industry Development Board Malaysia (CIDB) and Construction Labour Exchange Centre Berhad (CLAB). AHMAD JESSREE KAMARUDDINAhmad Jessree Kamaruddin is a senior statistician at the Department of Statistics, Malaysia. He graduated with a Bachelor of Mathematics from UPM. He began his career as a statistician in 1994. Currently he works as a Deputy Director of Population and Demography Division and also act as the head of Geospatial Section.

XU WEN CHONGWenzhong Xu founded KQ GEO Technologies in 2001 and serves as General Director, devoting his knowledge and expertise in Geo-information to lead the company to become one of the most successful Chinese enterprises with incorporated software & hardware research and surveying & mapping service in 3S business. Via his on-going significant contribution to KQ GEO Technologies’s success, Mr. Xu has garnered invaluable experience in various projects, including The First National Geographic Survey Project of Beijing and The Second Land Survey of Beijing Urban Area etc. He was Vice President of China Association for Geographic Information Society (CAGIS). DR. YEAH KIM LENGHe joined Malaysia University of Science and Technology (MUST) as the Dean of the Business School in May 2014 following a 20-year stint at RAM Holdings Berhad, the country’s first domestic credit rating agency. While at the domestic rating agency, he had headed the Economics and Market Research Department during the initial 6 years followed by a 7-year stint as Managing Director-cum-Chief Economist of RAM Consultancy Services Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of the rating agency that was incorporated to provide research and advisory services. He had extensive involvement in numerous consultancy and research projects for both the private and public sectors, including regional and national economic studies, industry research projects and strategic advisory services for several large Malaysian corporations. He is currently a Vice-President of the Malaysian Economic Association, a trustee of the Malaysian Tax Research Foundation, a member of the National Consumer Advisory Council at the Ministry of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism and

an External Member of Bank Negara Malaysia’s Monetary Policy Committee. SR KHAIDZIR ABDUL RASIP, FRISMSr Khaidzir is a Chartered Valuation Surveyor by profession with over 28 years of working experience covering the private, public and corporate sectors in United Kingdom and Malaysia. Graduated in 1988 from University of South Wales, he started his professional training in 1986 with an international firm of property consultants in the City of London and upon graduation with one of the London Borough Councils. Upon returning to Malaysia in 1990, he joined reputable

property consultancy firms and gained further experience in the areas of valuation, research and consultancy, estate agency, and property management. Subsequently, he entered the corporate world involved in the whole spectrum of property development; responsible for strategic and development planning, business development, marketing and sales, branding and customer relations, and asset management and investment; with conglomerates such as Johor Corporation, Sime Darby, Golden Hope, UEM and Lembaga Tabung Haji. Sr Khaidzir joined IRDA in 2009 assigned to various positions in the Social Development, Flagship Development, Economics & Investment and now Strategic Communications divisions with specific role as the subject matter expert in property as well as engaging with the commercial stakeholders in Iskandar Malaysia. He is a Fellow of both the Royal Institution of Surveyors, Malaysia and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, United Kingdom and is the incumbent Honorary Secretary of the PMVS Division.

SR HJ. MOHD AMIN MOHD DIN, FRISMSr Mohd. Amin bin Mohd. Din was elected to the council of RISM and currently is one of the VPs representing BS Division for sixth consecutive terms of 2011-16. He is an active councillor and often represents RISM on various occasions and functions in the MOW, Housing and Local Government, Higher Education, Finance, NRE, MOSTI and MITI. This includes forums, TC and seminars with agencies such as SIRIM, Standards Malaysia, CIDB, DBKL and panel members

of the Disciplinary Committees of the Advocators and Solicitors, Bar Council of Malaysia.He joined as an academic staff of UiTM since he returned from his studies in Scotland in 1984 and placed interests in the fields of BS, CM, Environmental Sciences and Acoustics. His career as a lecturer includes additional responsibilities as one of the officers in the Student’s Affairs Department, HOD of the Building Surveying and Construction Management Programmes. He was the Deputy Director of the Development Division, responsible for planning, execution and maintenance of the main and all branch campuses. General Amin as he is often called by his allies was an active reserved officer of the Malaysian Army. SR ISHAK ISMAIL, FRISMSr. Tuan Haji Ishak Ismail is the Founder and Managing Director of IM Global Property Consultants Sdn Bhd, the property consulting firm registered with BOVEA. He has been in real estate practice since 1991 and a licensed Registered Valuer, Registered Estate Agent and Registered Property Manager in 1998. ASSOC. PROF MADYA SR DR. HJ AHMAD EZANEE HASHIM, FRISMProf. Madya Sr Dr Hj. Ahmad Ezanee Hashim is a Senior Lecturer with the Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). He is part of the committee that set up the MSc in Facilities Management programme for UiTM. He also contributed in the development of the Building Surveyors Bill and the Guidelines for Code of Practice for Building Inspection Reports. He holds professional memberships in the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia and the Chartered Institute of Building. His areas of expertise includes the establishment of audit procedures for condition assessment/asset performance/asset refurbishment; training modules for roof installation and construction of bridges; and consultancy services in dilapidation, building condition survey, risk assessment and building control. He is also the Technical Examiner for the Malaysian Qualification Assurance (MQA) and an external examiner for local and foreign universities. He had presented more than 70 papers at various international and local conferences.

PROF. SR DR. AZLAN SHAH ALI, FRISMAzlan Shah Ali is a professor in the Department of Building Surveying, Faculty of Built Environment, University of Malaya (UM), Kuala Lumpur. He was promoted to the full professor post in July 2013, which make him as one of the youngest professors in the University. Dr. Azlan is also currently a Visiting Professor at School of Built Environment, Liverpool John Moores University, UK. He has held various responsibilities in the academic administration including an Acting Dean, Deputy Dean and Head of Department of the Faculty of Built Environment, UM. Previously, he worked with the building industry since 1998. Dr. Azlan completed his PhD at Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia specialising in building refurbishment. His research interests lie in the area of building maintenance and refurbishment with the focus to improve management strategies. He has collaborated actively with researchers in several other disciplines of built environment, particularly surveying and architecture local and internationally. Dr. Azlan has been involved in a number of academic

researches with a total amount of more than RM 1 million and has published over 100 technical publications in journals, proceedings and books. Dr. Azlan is a Chartered Building Surveyor, UK; a Registered Building Surveyor, Malaysia; a Fellow of The Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (FRISM) and The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, UK (FRICS).

ADI IRFAN CHE ANI, FRISMAdi Irfan Che-Ani (Sr Dr.) is currently an Associate Professor at Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia – UKM (The National University of Malaysia) and also the Deputy Director (Academic), Pusat Citra Universiti – Citra UKM. He attained his PhD from University of Malaya, Malaysia in the discipline of facility management (performance measurement). His research interests are focused on Building Condition Assessment-BCA (Condition Index), Building Information Modelling (BIM)-based BCA, and Soft skills & Student Competency. By profession, he is a Registered and Professional Building Surveyor in Malaysia, Chartered Building Engineer (UK) and Committee Member of Malaysian Association of Registered Building Surveyors (MyRBS). He is also a Fellow Member of The Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE), United Kingdom and a Malaysian Green Building Index (GBI) Certified Facilitator. Sr Dr. Adi actively involved in many research and to date have published more than 350

documents comprises of international and national indexed journals, proceedings, conferences, invited/keynote papers, technical reports and bulletin/magazine in relation to his research interest. His consultancy works mainly covers the building condition survey and inspection. He is The Founder of Condition Survey Protocol (CSP) 1 Matrix, an analytical tool for building condition survey work; and Chief Editor for Journal of Building Performance, published by UKM Department of Architecture and Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM) Building Surveying Division. He is also the recipient of the Young Building Surveyor Award 2013.

SR DR. NOORDIN AHMAD, FRISMDr. Noordin Ahmad is currently the Director General of the National Space Agency of Malaysia (ANGKASA). He obtained his Geomatics degree from University of Melbourne, Australia in 1984 and PhD in GPS Positioning from University of Newcastle, UK in 1988. Prior to joining ANGKASA, he was a Geospatial consultant for 13 years involving in many GIS, GNSS and RemoteSensing consultancy works. He is also an adjunct lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia

(UTM) since 1998 with more than 50 journal papers and has supervised more than 30 Masters and PhD research graduates. He is actively involved in the Geospatial sector and members of several technical committees on GNSS and GIS both locally and at regional level. He has won several prestigious awards and competitions at international level such as British High Commissioner Award, Gold award for invention at Geneva, Switzerland and Nuremburg, Germany; Asia Geospatial Excellence Award and GNSS Asia Challenge.

DATO' SR HASAN JAMIL, PPRISM, FRISMYBhg. Dato' Sr Hasan Jamil is the Deputy Director General I, Department of Survey and Mapping Malaysia (JUPEM) since April 10, 2014. He is also the Deputy Chairman of the Land Surveyors Board Malaysia, Chairman of Technical Committee 2 / SIRIM on Geographic Information Standards and Chairman of Framework Technical Committee, Malaysian Geospatial Data Infrastructure. He holds a Master Degree in Geographical Information System

from University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom and a Bachelor Degree in Survey (Land) from University of Technology Malaysia. He has previously served in various capacities since 1979 with JUPEM in the States of Terengganu, Kelantan, Sabah, Penang, Selangor, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur/ Putrajaya and JUPEM Headquarters in Kuala Lumpur. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM), President of RISM for Session 2014/2015 and Chairman of the Geomatics and Land Surveying Division, RISM for Session 2010/2013 as well as a Registered Land Surveyor.

DATO’ SR LAU WAI SEANG, FRISMDato’ Sr Lau Wai Seang is the Deputy President of the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia as well as the Regional President of Asia, Commonwealth Association of Surveying and Land Economy (CASLE). She is a Fellow of RISM. She started her valuation career with the Valuation and Property Services Department (JPPH), Ministry of Finance, Malaysia and headed many State Director posts. Her working experience included handling international and professional training courses and research activities. Her last post before retiring from civil service was Director of Valuation Services Division, HQ of JPPH, Putrajaya. Her experience on the real estate realm had progressed onto that of Business Valuation and Intellectual Property Valuation. SR MOHAMAD SHAZALI BIN SULAIMAN, FRISMSr Mohamad Shazali Bin Sulaiman is currently an Associate of KA Associates, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. He has 15 years of quantity surveying professional experience. His experiences are mainly in areas of quantity surveying, construction cost management and construction contracts and has had first hand involvement in a variety of projects like office complex, residential development, clinics, university, schools and large infrastructure development such as highways, water retaining structure and major sewerage system. SR AZITA MOHAMED TAHIR, FRISMSr. Azita Mohamed Tahir is the Head of Procurement in Mass Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd, which is the Project Developer and Asset Owner of Mass Rapid Transit projects in Klang Valley from Sg Buloh to Kajang (MRT SBK Line 1) and from Sg Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya (MRT SSP Line 2). Sr Azita has over two decades of work experience in infrastructure development with expertise in pre- and post-contract procurement administration. Before she assumed this role, she was the Head of Procurement for Projek Lebuhraya Usahasama Berhad (PLUS), which is the largest toll expressway operator in Malaysia and amongst the largest in South East Asia.
