    This blended course accelerates your APC process to become a member of the RICSas a quantity surveyor.

    The need for chartered quantity surveyors is significant. By 2020 a prediction of 18billion will be spent on construction projects across key developing markets, thereforehaving the skills meet this global demand is essential.

    In this course, you will be guided in your progress to fulfil the required competencies ofthe quantity surveying pathway. There are 3 learning channels for each corecompetency; technical training, how demonstrate your competency for assessment andpersonalized feedback on your summaries of experience from Quantity Surveying APCassessors. At the end of the course is an exam to check your understanding of thetechnical content and a mock interview with a QS assessor.

    This course is suitable for:• QS APC candidates who want to fast-track their progress.• Surveyors from other backgrounds who wish to become chartered as QS

    members.• Other professionals in the built environment (e.g. Architects, Engineers and

    Delivered over 7 months, this course outlines the practices and core principles ofquantity surveying in 6 content modules. Each module covers a competency required bythe profession and using a blended style of online study. Through a mixture of learningcontent and interactive sessions, delegates will gain a thorough grounding of therequired technical knowledge of each competency. There will also be a face to faceconsolidation session in how to demonstrate your knowledge of each competency and apersonal feedback from a QS Assessor on your summary of experience.

    Face-to-face membership trainingAfter undertaking the RICS membership training sessions, delegates will be:

    • Confident of how to demonstrate their understanding of the core competencies of

    the Quantity Surveying APC pathway in the summaries of experience• Able to prepare their case study and presentation for submission, or know which

    areas to improve to be able to submit• Ready to sit their final assessment interview, or know the areas in which to

    improve and develop in order to become ready

    Your progress in the technical module content will be supported through your trainingprogramme by a dedicated course tutor and membership training by QS Assessors. Youwill then be assessed through an online examination within the RICS Online Academy.The examination will take place within a one month window period towards the end ofthe programme.

    Upon successful completion of the course delegates would have completed 200 CPDhours study over the 7 month period. Delegates will also receive a certificate of coursecompletion confirming you have successfully attended and passed the Course inQuantity Surveying.
