ABOUT THE FEST
Now in its 15th year, the San Diego Bay Wine + Food Festival® is the largest
wine and culinary classic on the West Coast and is a signature event
for the city of San Diego. The weeklong festival features wine tasting
seminars, cooking classes by James Beard Award-winning chefs, intimate
luncheons with hand-selected wine pairings, and unforgettable celebrity
chef dinners.
GOLF CLASSIC
The San Diego Bay Wine + Food Festival kicks off the week of events with the
Golf Classic. This 18-hole course features culinary tasting holes, wine, brewery
and spirit experiences, and hole challenges complete with over-the-top prizes
from our sponsors. Reception and awards ceremony wrap up the day with
dessert bar and prizes.

TACO TKO
The Taco TKO is back for its 7th annual competition to settle the score on who is
serving up the best fish taco in San Diego! This mouthwatering battle features the
city’s top chefs competing head-to-head in a showdown that is fireworks for your
tastebuds. This signature event features unique beer and tequila stations, plus live
music for a pumped up tasting experience attendees won’t forget. Awards are
given for Judge’s Choice and People’s Choice. Each winner walks with cash and
some serious bragging rights.

CHEF OF THE FEST
Sixty of San Diego’s top fine dining chefs go head-to-head to compete in the “Chef
of the Fest” competition, where celebrity chefs and local culinary all-stars judge
each dish in a blind taste test.
Prize packages awarded to the “Chef of the Fest” winners have included a 12-
day Celebrity Cruises’ Mediterranean Cruise, 2 round-trip tickets from Southwest
Airlines, Maui Jim Sunglasses, a weekend getaway to Las Vegas, consultations
with a strategic restaurant planning and development company, features in
Cooking Light Magazine, cash prizes and more. Additionally, the “Chef of the
Fest” First Place Winner will return to the 15th Annual San Diego Bay Wine + Food
