Looking after your diabetes
• Medical management goals for diabetes are to aim, as early as possible, for near normal blood glucose, cholesterol, and blood pressure
• Treatment will include regular medication, monitoring, dietary management and exercise regime – an uphill struggle
• This can conflict with normal living
• Personal self management goals may be different for people and based on other priorities, and influenced by many things
• Knowledge about your diabetes and general understanding of health can help! Some tips.
