Our School Captains for 2019 are River and Mia. The House Captains are Bunerong: Daimon and Cassie, Aranda: Garrion and Isabella, Warramunga: Zed and Kayleigh, Paringa: Ryan and Lily. The SRC Representatives are: 2/3A Charlotte and Dean, 3/4A Noah and Samantha, 3/4B Lenny and Kylana, 5/6A Jade and Kaiden, 5/6B Chari and Ziggy, M2A Sasha and Isobel, M23 Isabella and Belle and M3A Talia and Thomas. Our RIPRR Team Leaders are Taylah, Aiden, Paige, Jake, Dion, Grace, Hayley, Annabelle, Charlotte and Riley. We look forward to our new student leaders being active members in our school community. Working with Children Check All Parent/Carer volunteers in our school need to be thanked for their wonderful support and the efforts they put into making our school the best it can be for our students. Whilst we love having parents/carers in partnership with our school, it is essential that everyone who volunteers n our school for whatever reason, including parent volunteers, have the appropriate Working with Children Check. I thank all parents/carers for their support and understanding of this procedure. Anaphylaxis at K.P.S. We currently have students in our school with a severe anaphylaxis allergy to nuts that is potentially life threatening. Whilst we are not a nut free school, I do ask that all students, parents and staff be aware and mindful of this. I would also ask that all children are NOT to share food. It is the partnership between school and home that is crucial if certain food are to be kept away from anaphylaxis students whilst at school. Family Challenge What a wonderful event the Family Challenge was on Wednesday 27th February. There were lots of families enjoying each others company and participating in some challenging and fun activities. Congratulations to all the teams who participated and a special thank you to our student leaders, Ms Holmes and staff that supported the event. Bikes, Scooters and Skateboards With your permission, students may ride bikes, scooters and skateboards to school if they are wearing a helmet. For safety reasons and in-line with the Education Department guidelines and VicRoads advice, students in Foundation to Year 3 who ride or scoot to and from school, should in the company of an adult. Bikes, scooters and skateboards should not be ridden in the school grounds as this causes a safety issue for the pedestrians within the grounds.. Upon arrival at school, students should walk their bike scooter or skateboard to the bike shed. I also encourage you to remind students not to ride or scoot down the footpath on Mallum Avenue, before and after school for the safety of pedestrians. Karen Luff Principal

The Trip to Stampy’s Fun Land (A Minecraft Story) (an extract) One day there was a Minecraft boy Xavier S. But his Minecraft names was Div the Devious. He was building his base. It took a very long time but he finished the outside at sunset then he placed a bed and went to sleep in it. When he woke up he finished his base on the inside. He made a room with an inchartng table inside the room. He put some paintings up on the wall. Then he came out of the room and he put some more paintings up on the wall and then he made another room but instead of an inchartng table he put a bed inside the room and put some more paintings up on the wall and then he went outside and made a mail box that said 220. Then it was sunset andhe went to sleep but when he woke up the diamonds and emeralds that he had kept in the chest yesterday were GONE!!!!. He said to one of his knights “who did this we do not know”. Said the knight then Div the Devious said “WOW!!!! That’s crazy mazy”. Then he said “we need to go to bed and when we wake up they might have given the diamonds and emeralds back”. Then the knights said “ok let’s go to bed”. Then Div the Devious said “yes that’s very good”. Then Div the Devious went to bed but when he work up all the sticks in all the chests were GONE WHAT A FEEASCO!!!!!!
