How To Become An Achiever
“He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be my son.”
(Revelation 21 v 7).
Believers who endure unto the end, will receive the blessings God promised. However nothing in your life changes, until you first admit that a problem or a challenge does exist.
Each of us, sometimes must go through different stages of change until they become the
finished article. The bibles says,
“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.” (Proverbs 23 v 7)
For new circumstances to emerge in our lives, it must first begin with our thinking.
Stages of Change
1. Stage of Denial – I don’t want to change anything. I am afraid to confront mistakesand challenges. I cannot accept that I am being controlled, or that we are denying
ourselves from having something better. I also pretend that things did not happen.
2. Stage of Fear – I become fearful when change is needed and become upset when
change becomes necessary. I sometimes quickly blame God for our predicaments. I
then worry and become anxious fearing the consequence of the change. I rebel,
because the change will bring order into my life. (why is it, that humans are
comfortable with disorder, confusion and failure?)
Fear is False Evidence that A ppears R eal. It steals your peace, disrupts your creativity
and quenches your joy. You WILL have to overcome fear to achieve.
3. Stage of Bargaining – Pain occurs because you have to change old habits into new
habits. For you to have something that you never had before, or do what you never
done before. You first have to think differently to how you thought before. This is
where you stretch oneself to new limits, bringing discipline into your life. It is the
discipline that bring forth the results.
4. Stage of ‘Looking forward’ – Remembering the past will hold back your future and its
destiny. Your past is gone and you need to quickly put it behind you. You cannot
erase or change it. More importantly, God wants to bring you into your bright future.
Therefore you have to seize the opportunities that are presented and look forward withgreat expectancy.
“Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will
perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 1 v 6)
Take your eye of the rear view mirror. Discover and recover your vision from God to
overcome. He still has a fruitful plan for your life.
What is life? Without Jesus Christ there is no real value to your life!
