The valves shall be either inherently anti-static or provided with anti-static
features.
The valves shall be of fire safe design as per BS 6755 Part 2 or API 607.
Quantity required :

Tests for Manual Bellows sealed Valves:
Certificates:
All the certificates including material certificates, detailing the physical and
chemical properties, of the principal pressure-bearing parts shall be
provided along with the drawings and catalogs.
Bellows cyclic life test:
3 sample bellows drawn from a batch of the same size and type shall be
subject to (destructive) cycle life (proto-type) test as per BS 5352. If the
manufacturer of bellows has already performed such test, copy of thecertificates may be produced.
Batch test certificates are acceptable.
Welding joint test:
Any butt & socket welding joints in the valve shall be subject to
radiographic tests with X-rays to 2-T sensitivity.

Soundness test for casting:
All the castings shall be subjected to soundness test with radiographic or
ultrasonic technique for flaw detection.
Hydraulic shell pressure test:
The valve, prior to assembly with the bellows, in partially open position,
shall be subjected to pressure test with H2O (with suitable corrosion
inhibitor) at 1.1 times the maximum rated working pressure of the particular
pressure rating class of the valve. The test procedure and acceptance
criterion shall be as per BS 6755, Part 1 or API 598 or ANSI B 16.34
Hydraulic seat pressure test:
The valve, in closed position, shall be subject to pressure test with water
(with suitable corrosion inhibitor) at 1.1 times the maximum rated working
pressure of the particular pressure rating class of the valve. The testprocedure and the acceptance criterion shall be as per Rate A of BS 6755
Part 1 or API 598 or ANSI B 16.34.
Pneumatic pressure test:
The valve, upon final assembly including the bellows, in partially open
position, shall be subjected to the pressure test by dry air or GN2 at 1.1 times
the maximum rated working pressure of the particular pressure rating class
of the valve. The test procedure and acceptance criterion shall be as per Rate
A of BS 6755 Part 1 or API 598 or ANSI B 16.34
MSLD seat leak test:
The global leak rates across seat shall be measured with GHe MSLD to
establish leak tightness values, specified above by hood technique as per
article 10, section 5, ASME. The leak tests shall be performed by
pressurizing the inlet with Helium gas, and by evacuating and connecting the
outlet to MSLD. Leak test by detector probe or tracer probe technique is not
acceptable.
Functional Tests:The valve with all accessories mounted shall be subjected to functional test
to validate the performance.

Cleanliness:
All the interior flow surfaces of the valve shall be degreased and cleaned to
O2 service standard as per CGA G-4.1 or MIL-C-52211.
Marking:
All the valves are assigned tag numbers for the sake of identification. The
tag number for each valve, as indicated above besides size, pressure rating
class, material of construction etc., shall be legibly and indelibly engraved
on the body of the valves.
GUARANTEE AND WARRANTY
The supplier shall give warranty for 2 years from date of supply for
replacing/ repairing of valves and their accessories, from any kind of defect,
material or workmanship or malfunctioning within 48 hours of observing the
defect. The supplier shall give performance guarantee for smooth troublefree operation of valves as per functional requirements for two years from
date of supply.

7. SUPPLIER SHOULD SUBMIT TENDERS IN TWO PARTS, VIZ.TECHNICAL BID AND COMMERCIAL BID SEPARATELY IN TWODIFFERENT SEALED COVERS. THE SEALED COVERS SHALL BESUPERSCRIBED WITH THE NATURE OF BID (TECHNICAL ORCOMMERCIAL), TENDER NUMBER. THE SAID TWO COVERS SHALL,
THEN BE PUT TOGETHER INTO ANOTHER COVER WHICH SHALL BESEALED AND SUPERSCRIBED WITH THE NAME OF THE TENDER,
TENDER NUMBER AND THE DATE OF OPENING OF THE BID.
8. THE SUPPLIER HAS TO SUBMIT ALONG WITH THE TECHNICAL OFFERTHE EARNEST MONEY DEPOSIT (EMD) OF RS. 35000/-(RUPEESTHIRTY FIVE THOUSAND ONLY) OR EQUIVALENT BY WAY OFDEMAND DRAFT OR BANK GUARANTEE FROM A SCHEDULED BANK,WHICH SHOULD BE VALID FOR AT LEAST ONE YEAR FROM THE DATEOF YOUR QUOTATION, DRAWN IN FAVOUR OF DIRECTOR, NAL,BANGALORE. HOWEVER, GOVT. PUBLIC UNDERTAKINGS & FIRMSREGISTERED WITH DGS & D, AND NSIC ARE EXEMPTED FROMPAYMENT OF EMD, AS PER THE RULES PREVAILING FROM TIME TO
