YOUR QUARTERLY ANNODATA NEWS.
Welcome to the second issue of our company newsletter, fi lled with the latest news, views, events and all things Annodata. Email your feedback to us at [email protected]
We began the New Year as a new unit. A motivated team with great potential to achieve everything we set our minds to in 2015. As members of the board, we’re very excited about the year ahead and the entire Annodata team will have a part to play to get us to where we all want to be.
2015 will be a year of positive change. Change in the way we do business, change in our product offering and change in the way we are perceived in the market by our competitors and potential clients.
On the next page you’ll see what we have termed as the ‘6 Gold Standards’. Th ese are the main areas that the management will be focusing on as we continue to strive to deliver the highest levels of service to our customers.
Th e 6 Gold Standards are vitally important, but as we continue to do great things within our teams across the UK, we must always remember that nothing is more important than our customers.

Kind regards
Andrew & Tim

RevenueOver the past few months, we have publicly announced our targeted revenue across various mediums.
Our revenue target of £100 million by the end of FY16 still remains a key focus for the business. Th e overall strategy is to reach this through a mix of acquisitions, such as Keltec and most recently STS, and organic growth.
Organic growthOrganic growth is important and will underpin our acquisition strategy.
We need to show at least 10% organic growth on total revenues year on year through targeting vertical markets, up-selling and cross selling and other innovative tactics to propel organic growth.
Future contracted revenues must be maximised in order to establish an attractive annuity base.
Product portfolio & marketingWe want to offer cutting edge propositions to the market. As we continue working towards shaping the organisation to refl ect an ICT & Cloud company, it is important that we forge new partnerships and joint ventures which will extend our product offering.
Together with Marketing and PR, these efforts will be geared toward portraying Annodata as an all encompassing technology company.
Management teamA capable and forward thinking management team will be key to achieving the outlined targets.
Managers will continually be empowered to innovate and think outside the box to create ways in which their teams can achieve success.
Earning Before Interest & Tax (EBIT)Profi tability is important for the longevity of the business. Th erefore, as we work towards achieving the targets set as a company, we need to bear in mind our profi tability.
Our EBIT target is 10% of targeted revenue, i.e. £10m on the £100m target.
Operation cash to EBITIn order to sustain fi nancial success, our operating cash position against EBIT should be 80%. In context, our target is £8m operating cash at the end of FY16 against our EBIT target of £10m.
As Annodata continues to thrive in the marketplace, these 6 focus areas are what the board and our senior managers will be measured against.

South Oxford District Council:
27 fi re crews, an exploding vehicle, gas canisters and national news camera crews are all things we’re likely to expect from a Hollywood blockbuster. But this is all in a days work for our team at Keltec as they worked with senior members of the council to ensure business continuity and minimal disruption to the vital services provided by the South Oxfordshire District Council.
On the 15th January 2015, a suspected arson attack destroyed 85% of the South Oxfordshire District Council offi ces and left a massive clean-up and disaster recovery operation to take place. After successfully winning a bid to provide a VDI (Virtual Desktop Interface) solution for the council, the fi re resulted in the council needing additional support at very short notice.
With 400 staff needing access to IT services to perform their duties, getting them back
up and running as quickly as possible was a critical task in order to continue services to the community of Oxfordshire. Th e team at Keltec stepped in immediately to propose a solution and in turn were awarded an additional 15 days of professional services, 50 additional hardware orders for VDI terminals and a host of monitors.
Th e council serves approximately 135,000 people, providing essential services and advice on housing, council tax & benefi ts, building & planning, transport, leisure and recycling. Th e team at Keltec were vital to minimising the disruption to services and as the project continues, a strong relationship is being forged with the council as we help them to get back to their full capacity.

Story of the Quarter: Keltec to the rescue
cannot be overstated and we are ensured of a system install that will meet the customer’s demanding requirements
Sarah BoyleBehind every successful project is the key person that coordinates all of the details, from order processing to logistics such as delivery and shipping. For our project, this person is Sarah. Sarah is a pleasure to work with and always responds within minutes to my last minute urgent requests for parts and software.
Annette CookAll of our equipment arrived at the correct data centre, on time, fully documented and ready to be accepted by the data centre provider. At this point in the project, we were on a very tight schedule, where every day of delay could have impacted the customer go-live date. Th anks to Annette, when the install team arrived, everything was ready and waiting.
Well done to everyone involved in this project. It’s exactly this level of service that we want to provide to all of our customers!
“Please pass on my compliments to your team and best wishes for a happy and prosperous New Year.”

In a time when service defi nes your longevity in this business, Keltec continue to show their ability and willingness to go the extra mile to deliver great service to our customers.
ABB Technologies is involved in the decommissioning of nuclear power plants in the UK and as you can imagine, the services they require need to be of the highest standard. It was therefore a delight to receive an email from the Senior Director of Managed Services just after the New Year applauding our team for their fantastic efforts in supporting ABB Technologies and concluding the project in an exemplary manner.
Below is an extract from the email they sent:
“Working together with your team, I am very pleased to report the completion of a major milestone during this past week. We now have brand new servers, storage and networking equipment installed in two data centres and have successfully completed the setup and confi guration of the NetApp storage devices. Th is is the result of many hours of hard work from both ABB Technology and Keltec.
While there have been many people from Keltec involved, I would especially like to commend the following:”
Ian Charles Our fearless and dedicated account manager. Ian has been engaged with this opportunity since the start, well over 9 months. His patience, perseverance and assistance has been fantastic. Ian is an exceptional account manager and we view him as a true partner.
Dave KernerWe could not have accomplished our objectives without Keltec Professional Services. Dave’s experience and expertise with managing complex projects with many moving parts was put to good use and he ensured that resources were available when needed. Dave also interfaced with NetApp on our behalf and helped us make key decisions such as which version of NetApp software to install.
Adrian ChapmanAdrian led the build team and was responsible for ensuring that all devices were installed correctly in both data centres, to the highest level of quality of supportability. Adrian answered our countless questions with professionalism and patience at all times and worked hand-in-hand with our engineer in the Keltec build centre, providing invaluable assistance.
Mark StevensOur customer has the right to visit the data centre at any time to view the systems as installed and verify standards are met. Mark was on the install team and was in charge of standards compliance, including cable management, labelling and general rack layout. Mark’s attention to detail

Spotlight on:- Ope Sebastian, Credit Control, Kings Langley
The role of the Credit Control department in our organisation cannot be over emphasised. It provides a pivotal service to the Annodata group by mainly delivering cash to the business amongst other responsibilities.
Our Credit Control department is managed by Ope Sebastian who has served in various capacities over the years. Ope and his team are doing a fantastic job which is reflecting positively in the organisation’s cash position and recognised by the Board of Directors. Amongst other achievements, the Credit Control department reduced debts aged
over 90 days from 26% of total debtors to 11% within a quarter and have consistently delivered strong cash receipts to the business enabling the business to achieve its strategic goals. Congratulations to Ope and his team for a fantastic job! To find out more about Ope, an interview with him revealed below.
John and Mick are responsible for the service and stock to our customers and handle this with great efficiency and determination.
Once orders are placed by a customer, our warehouse staff are responsible for coordinating the stock delivery.
We’d like to thank John and Mick for a great job on enhancing the productivity across the service and warehouse teams.
By coordinating efforts across service staff, warehouse operatives and engineers, the team has managed to move stock through the warehouse in a more efficient way, which has resulted in a positive stock position of £1.1 million.
Congratulations to Mick, John and the respective teams that have worked incredibly hard to make this happen.

“A complicated installation of both copiers and software is now on the verge of completion and we are very close to getting the final CofA signed off by the client. I’m sure that without Richard’s efforts we wouldn’t be close to seeing this across the line. Please pass on my thanks.“
