DescriptionThe 120M1644 is a bridge-type millivolt output pressure transducer designed for use with the Trendmaster system. The transducer interfaces with the ProTIM-R and ProTIM-C dual channel pressure modules to provide data to System 1 software.
The nominal output of the 120M1644 pressure transducer will be 0 PSI at atmospheric pressure (14.7 PSI). Note that a sealed gauge transducer will output the difference between atmospheric pressure (14.7 PSI) and the pressure at the point on the machine to which it connects. A gauge pressure transducer often has a vent hole in the transducer and will output the pressure difference between the port and vent. The 120M1644 is a sealed gauge transducer for pressure ranges over 150 PSI. For pressure ranges below 150 PSI, the transducer is gauge referenced to minimize error due to variation in ambient pressure. Since gauge transducers have an open vent, they should be protected from ingression of moisture and debris.

Transducers may be rated to higher operating temperatures than the cable that connects the transducer to the ProTIM module. We do not recommend using the cable above its rated temperature.
Installation GuidelinesFollow all industry accepted standards and safety practices relating to pressurized systems.
Check all fittings and hardware for appropriate pressure ratings.
Use protective devices like pressure limiters or snubbers. if your application needs them. These protect the transducer and prevent loss of accuracy. Most protective devices will not affect system accuracy.
Use pipe sealant or Teflon tape to improve sealing if your application requires it.
Avoid installing transducers in locations with excessive vibration if possible.
The transducer has a ¼ NPT fitting. Install the transducer with a minimum of 3-1/2 threads engaged.
Verify that the ambient temperature of the transducer location is within the operating range of the transducer and cable. The transducer should also operate within its compensated temperature range to provide accurate measurements.
Ensure that the environmental boot covers at least half of the transducer.
