MERCURY CAPITAL ASSET MANAGEMENT CORPORATE FINANCE ANALYST BRIEF JOB OVERVIEW: Mercury Capital, a Moscow-based independent asset management firm, is seeking to hire an Intern/Analyst to support existing transactions and new business development in Moscow office JOB PROFILE: Job title during probationary period Intern Probationary period 6 months Job title after probationary period Analyst 1 Position reports to Senior Associate Area of responsibility Corporate Finance Asset Management Business Development MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: Working with the Managing Directors and a Senior Associate, the Analyst will be a vital part of a team of private equity professionals and have a varied and demanding role, including working with portfolio companies on business development and strategic growth plans, pursuing analysis of new and existing investment opportunities, and assisting with fund reporting and operations Investment Analysis & Corporate Finance Advisory (40%): o Build financial models to support investment analysis and recommendations o Conduct financial and impact due diligence, including market assessments and research o Oversee all facets of day-to-day deal execution for a wide range of client engagements o Preparing client presentations and reports to firm executives Portfolio Management & Company Support (40%): o Maintain relationships with existing investments to conduct needs assessments and help craft strategic growth and business development plans with portfolio companies o Provide direct portfolio company support by leveraging relationships with strategic partners to help companies achieve success in operations, and investment exits Asset management, Investor Reporting and other activities (20%) QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: An internship in valuation, VC/PE, business development, or other relevant finance experience Strong academic background in economics/finance, preferably at leading Russian or international institutions Exceptional work ethic, commitment to excellence and attention to detail Candidates should possess strong analytical, accounting and writing skills, including proficiency in financial modelling Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Ability to work independently and responsibly with little supervision and instruction Fluent English and Russian with good writing skills Competitive compensation and growth opportunities await the right candidate.
