Jakarta, March 01, 2016

Chairman Makoto Takahashi

Indonesia Mold & Dies Industry Association

IMDIA Basic Activity Policy

1. Through a membership mutual exchanges, promote mutual understanding of

the disparity of management, technology and skills.

2. Collecting and conveying the latest technology information in the world.

3. Providing support improved techniques and the ability to plan and carry out

seminars, study visits and training.

4. Elevating and analyze common problems and direct the idea solution in each

committee.

5. As a result, strive to increase the percentage of local procurement

(localization) mold & die in Indonesia.

2

According to member consensus at the time of establishment, we have continued

basic activity policy for 10 years.

Indonesia Mold & Dies Industry Association

The Problem and Proposed Measure of Localization Mold & Die

1. Lack of the mold management, the technology and the technician

• The execution of the upbringing program from the basic step of the management, the technology and

the skill

• The fullness and the expansion of the state and IMDIA certificate test system

• The upbringing and the expansion of the mold leader according to the area and the type of job

2. Lack of Mold & Die Manufacturing Equipment Ability

• The investigation of the manufacturer new-product development time and the development cycle

• The grouping into a cooperative of the facilities according to the mold manufacturer car, 2 rings and

the electrical industry

• The investment promotion of the overseas new resin and the Casting large-sized mold manufacturer

3. Lack of Mold& Die Supporting Industry Ability

• The abolition of the mold material import duties and the mold support industry good treatment plan

• Making mold Standards Department article, a mold base and a metal finishing a short appointed date

of delivery

• The service system reinforcement by the die-builder work machine, tool and measurement

manufacturer

A big problem is accumulated to doing the mold becoming of the local procurement but the human

resource upbringing needs a match by the top priority because it becomes necessary in the time in 3-5

even if it is minimum.

Needs of Mold/Die Basic Training

Manual Milling Machine Machining Center Blade

Manual milling and machining center in the process are the same, decisive is a man power.

Basic Application

Due to operate itself, can determine the sharpness of the blade from noise, vibration and smell.

If we have the ability to determine the context of the process it can predict change of tools before the occurrence.

Step Up

In order to carry out the theory and practice is essential to create the textbook as a modul.

By proceeding from the basic, it makes easy to deploy to the application, it’s possible to self

improvement capability.

For interesting the members to develop of human resources, so after workshop conducted the certification exams, beside it also conducted a instructor workshop and instructor certification. By the new instructor who certified, its could get the system development of human resources continously.

Indonesia Mold & Dies Industry Association

Instructor Evaluation Standard

In the development of the necessary human resources are also certified instructors and evaluation criteria has been

made the default by the Japanese expert, the next main role of the instructor and the secretariat.

1. Training System : by ranking each field of work, and to build IMDIA instructor training system on an ongoing basis,

Expert, Translator and staff of the Secretariat has tried to optimal as possible.

2. The instructor ability rank

13

3.The election of the instructor candidacy : The opinion of the interpreter therefore in by the expert to the election of the

instructor candidacy from the inside of the state or the IMDIA authorization person, the necessary instructor candidacy personnel

in to hearing , the workshop by him and he requests a member to participate with the instructor workshop invitation card.

4.The evaluation of the instructor candidacy : Because it takes charge of the part of the workshop program which was

shown beforehand by the placing as sub instructor at the workshop of the expert, the expert and the interpreter evaluate the

ability for there to be an instructor. The expert puts the sub instructor name to take charge of in each workshop program.

5. The evaluation contents of the instructor candidacy : after the workshop ends, the expert and the interpreter do 5 pieces

of 1 piece of evaluation under in 10 items in the human nature under in the expert knowledge 10 item and the teaching method in

the instructor ability, and each level accepts and fixes the instructor of the beginner's class, the intermediate level and the upper

class.

To achieve the target localization of mold / die until 2015 by 60%, then it takes the

passing of people who are certified as many as 2500 people and 500 instructors

graduation oang, but we are still constrained to graduation instructor.

IMDIA Midterm Agenda – Period 1

19

1. Increase the ratio of mold/die localization

1) Setting a target ratio of mold/die localization until 2020 by 70% to encourage local

processing from big mold / die, high precision mold / die and high technology mold / die.

2) Targets the 10% of the total production of mold / die can be exported to foreign countries.

3) Research to start up for forging die localization, rubber mold and carbide mold/die.

2. Human resource development

1) Promoting a top priority, that is increasing technical thinking from Indonesian top

management to get discuss with foreign top management.

2) Encouraging man power who certified to be 5000 people and instructor to be 500 people.

3) Management, technology and skilled workers each of capacity up is required, promote the

development of advanced certification's 1,000 and senior instructors 100 people.

3. Strengthening of the organization

1) Expanding the management of the organization, especially to local members in 2020 with

the goal post of chairman of the association will be delegated to the local members.

2) The target of membership until 2020 as well as 600 members.

3) Enhance cooperative relationships with government institution (Ministry and JETRO) and

the related private industries (automotive, electronics and consumable parts)

4. Colaboration system

1) Strengthening cooperation within the group Press, Mold, Casting and High Precision

Process with the aim of increasing competitiveness.

2) Promoting alliances and joint ventures with foreign companies that nominated by IMDIA.

3) To use the training equipment conducted in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and

other relevant agencies to develop Mold / Die Center.

5. Strengthen of supporting industry of mold & die

1) In making the mold / die necessary CAD / CAM system, materials, surface treatment,

standard parts, mold base, tools, machining etc. IMDIA want to be leadership in solving

these challenges.

2) Encourage to attract more interest in equipment and parts mold / die in supporting

industry mold / die.

3) Reviewing to attract maintenance press die, mold and casting industry.
