Blueberry and Banana Oatmeal

1 oz (1/4 cup) rolled oats (not the instant variety)1 tbsp plain, whole milk yogurt1/2 small, ripe banana1 tbsp fresh blueberries

Cook the oats according to the directions on the pack.

Add the yogurt to the cooked oats and stir well.

Place the mixture in a food processor and add the sliced bananaand blueberries.

Puree until smooth.

Apple, Potato and Pumpkin Treat

1 small potatoquarter of a small pumpkin1-2 apples

Peel and cut the potatoes, apples and pumpkin into small cubes.

Just cover with water and cook over low heat for about 20 minutes,or until soft.

Blend the three ingredients and serve immediately at the righttemperature for your baby.

For older babies, add a dash of olive oil.

Pureed Brown Rice Pudding

8 oz (1 cup) cooked brown rice5 fl oz (2/3 cup) breast milk or formula2 oz (1/4 cup) raisinspinch cinnamonpinch nutmeg

Simmer the raisins for 10 mins in a little apple juice to soften them.

Then, mix all the ingredients together in a saucepan and bring themto the boil.

Stir thoroughly, lower the heat, then cover and simmer for 10minutes, until thickened.

Puree in a food processor until smooth.

Chicken and Lentil Dinner (7 months +)

1 tbsp red lentils1 small courgette (zucchini), peeled and diced2 oz (1/4 cup) cauliflower, chopped2 oz (1/4 cup) sweet potato, peeled and diced2 oz (1/4 cup) skinless chicken breast, chopped6 fl oz (3/4 cup) breast milk or formula

Sort through the lentils to make sure there are no small stones, thenrinse them under running water.

Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan and bring to the boil.

Lower the heat, cover, then simmer for approximately 25 mins,until the chicken is cooked through and the vegetables and lentilsare tender. Check the mixture often during the cooking time andadd more milk if it looks a little dry.

Puree until smooth, then serve!

Creamed Apricots

4 oz (1/2 cup) dried apricots (organic are best)4 fl oz (1/2 cup) apple juice4 fl oz (1/2 cup) plain, whole milk yogurt

Place the apricots in a small saucepan and pour in the apple juice.

Bring to the boil, then lower the heat.

Cover and simmer for 10 minutes, then remove from the heat andcool.

Puree in a food processor, then swirl the apricot into the yogurt.Chill, then serve!

Lamb and Veggie Dinner (7 months +)

1 small lamb shank1 small courgette (zucchini), cubed1 potato, peeled and cubed1 medium carrot, peeled and cubed8 fl oz (1 cup) breast milk or formula1 tsp finely chopped fresh mint

Brown the lamb shank in a little oil and then cover with water.

Bring to the boil, then lower the heat.

Cover and simmer until the lamb is cooked throughout.

Meanwhile, simmer the vegetables in the milk until tender.

Remove the cooked lamb from the bone and cut it into little pieces.

Mix it with the vegetables and the milk.

Stir in the chopped mint, then place all the ingredients in a foodprocessor and puree until smooth.

Parsnip and Carrot Puree

1 medium carrot1 medium parsniptiny pinch of nutmeg (optional)

Peel the carrot and parsnip, then dice.

Simmer in a little water until tender.

Drain (reserving the cooking liquid), then puree in a foodprocessor, adding a little of the cooking water if you'd like athinner texture.

Stir in the nutmeg and serve!

Pear and Butternut Squash

1 butternut squash1 ripe pear

Peel the butternut squash and cut it in half.

Remove the seeds, then cut the squash into cubes.

Peel the pear, remove the core, then cut it into cubes.

Steam the butternut squash cubes for 15 minutes.

Add the pear cubes to the steamer and cook for a further 5 to 8mins, until both the pear and squash are tender.

Puree well, adding a little breast milk or formula if the mixture istoo thick for your baby.

Sweet Potato and Plantain Puree

8oz (1 cup) sweet potato, cooked then mashed1 yellow plantain, peeled and chopped roughly6 fl oz (3/4 cup) chicken stock (homemade or low sodium)2 fl oz (1/4 cup) natural yogurt2 fl oz (1/4 cup) breast milk or formulalittle pinch of freshly ground black pepper (optional)1 tsp fresh parsley, chopped

Pour the chicken broth into a saucepan and add the plantain.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then lower the heat and simmer for 10minutes, until the plantain is fork tender (think cooked potato!).

Drain, reserving the cooking liquid, then place in a food processorand add the rest of the ingredients.

Puree until smooth, then return to the saucepan and gently warmthrough.

Thin with a little reserved chicken broth (if necessary) and serve!

Tofu and Avocado Cream (8 months+)

1 avocado, diced4 oz (1/2 cup) silken tofu4 oz (1/2 cup) natural yogurt1 tbsp chopped, fresh chives

Simply mash and puree all the ingredients together, chill... andserve!
