  • INTRODUCTION OF PAINT DETACKIFICATION

What is Paint Detackification? A Program that be used to treat paint overspray from

    water circulation for painting booth.

A Detackification program should have the capability to provide:

    Good detackified sludge

    Less order from the water

    High sludge removal efficiency

    Clean recirculating booth water

High sludge solids and low sludge volume

    Low corrosion rate

    Better foam control (less emission)

    Microbial control (safety)

  • The typical Paint Detackification Program consists of 5 chemical products that each serves a specific function:

    Detackifier D2430S

    Reduce or eliminate paint tackiness

    Coagulation of paint solids

    Flocculant - D2402

    Agglomerate suspended paint solids

Enhance paint sludge removal from the process

    Improve dewatering of sludge

    pH adjuster

Ensure water is in condition to properly detackify paint solids

    Minimize corrosion rate

    Additive

Oxidize the solvents to eliminate smell

    Biocide

    Control bacteria levels

    Minimize corrosion

PARAMETERS OF SLUDGE PAINT TREATMENT SYSTEM

  • Cutomer Goals

Automotive manufacturers are looking for products with improved performance while seeking to reduce overall system cost Lower suspended solids returning back to spray booths Simplify the paint spray booth process to reduce capital investment Reduce energy and cleaning costs

Auto industry as a whole is striving for more environmentally responsible solutions Conserve non-renewable resources Minimize carbon footprint Reduce waste Non smell spread

OEMs desire less complexity in the manufacturing process Ease of operation Process flexibility

    Vision & Goals

  • Vision & Goals

    Customer Benefits

Positive environmental impact Reduce carbon foot print from other chemical contribution Reduced daily wastewater treatment impact Conservation of water Decreased land fill volume

Superior product performance Improved sludge removal efficiency Reduced sludge settling Fewer paint solids returned to paint spray booths Cleaner booth water Decreased foam formation (due to bio-adhesive properties) Lower total dissolved solids and corrosion tendency Longer booth water life

Greater ease of operation and process flexibility Wider operating window (less pH sensitive, less foam formation) Decreased paint spray booth maintenance (lower suspended solids) Effective treatment vs. solvent borne/waterborne. Proven pour over transition

Lower overall system costs Reduced paint spray booth maintenance, chemical, wastewater treatment, and

    disposal costs

  • Experience with all sludge system designs

Not only with good chemical programs, but knowing how in

application is the turn key for success

Capability to assist and/or advise for the design of the most efficient system

    to:

    Lower the chemical cost

    Minimize labor intensity

    Maximize system performance

    VALUE PROPOSITION - SYSTEM DESIGN

  • Are main distributor for TOTAL and Chemetall products in Vietnam.

Capability to treat all types of paints from PPG, DuPont, BASF, Nippon, Kansai, Rohm & Haas, etc.

    Low to high solids

    Solventborne

    Waterborne

    Purge solvents

    Cleaning solvents

    Surfactants
