1 Peter 2:9 (KJV) But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of HIM who hath called you out of darkness into HIS marvelous light:

God saved us and made us His Own people for a specific purposefor a specific purpose:

That we should show forth His GoodnessHis Goodness and virtuesvirtues to the world.

1 Peter 3 1 Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the Word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; 2 While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.

3Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; 4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. 5 For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands: 6 Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.

Or he may just be a stubbornstubborn and rebelliousrebellious Christian, who does things his wayhis way.

Nagging will never change him at all.

Loving wife who joyfully serves her family

Can soften the heart of the worst of men.

1 Peter 3:1-2 (NIV) Wives, in the same way be submissive to your husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the Word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives, when they see the puritypurity and reverencereverence of your lives.

Show him the excellence and virtue of God.

Demonstrate the LoveLove of God by loving himloving him.

Show him a Spirit-filled life of joyjoy, peacepeace, and

patiencepatience that he may be won overwon over.

Women should not dependdepend on outward beauty alonealone to win over the hearts of their husbands.

The inward beauty of a meek and quiet spiritmeek and quiet spirit is of far more valuemore value to man and God.

A meek and quiet spirit

MeekMeek = Humble as opposed to arrogant

Mild and gentle as opposed to harsh and hateful

Quiet = peaceable as opposed to disruptive Undisturbed and undisturbing

As Sarah submitted to Abraham's leadership,

Wherever he led her, she did follow.

She did whatever he asked her to do.

6 Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazementare not afraid with any amazement.

Many women are afraid to live the kind of life described here:

Afraid that their husbands will abuse them if they have a meek and quiet spirit;

Afraid that he will fail them in providing a living.
