1 Nephi 3:7

Do

He prepares for me In 1 Nephi 3

Picture Description Scripture The “n” for Nephi is the top part of the saddle. The “3” for Chapter 3 is the bottom part of the saddle. The “1” for 1st Nephi is the body of the Nephi sitting on top of the saddle. This scripture is Nephi stating that he would go and do what the Lord had commanded. Remember that at the time Nephi’s family was in the wilderness and they probably had many camels they were traveling with. Nephi may have gone back to Jerusalem on a camel to do what the Lord had commanded him to do!

7 And it came to pass that I, Nephi, said unto my father: I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commandeth them.

Liken

Scriptures are seen In 1 Nephi 19

Picture Description Scripture The “1” for Chapter 19 Nephi is on the left of the book, the “9” is in the book making chapter 19. The “N” in the book is for 1st Nephi. This scripture tells us that we should liken the scripture to ourselves. The “9” in the book has a man inside of it. The tail of the “9” is pointing out to the man outside of the book. Representing that we should take the scriptures we read and see how we can make “liken” or apply to our life.

23 And I did read many things unto them which were written in the books of Moses; but that I might more fully persuade them to believe in the Lord their Redeemer I did read unto them that which was written by the prophet Isaiah; for I did liken all scriptures unto us, that it might be for our profit and learning.

Fell

Adam fell for you In 2 Nephi 2

Picture Description Scripture The “2” for 2nd book is the first 2 that looks like a woman. The Two men in the middle form an “N” for Nephi to make 2nd Nephi. The “2” on the right is for Chapter 2. In this scripture it tells us that Adam fell and that we might have joy and we have our greatest joy in an eternal marriage. Notice that the two men are holding hands with the woman at their side. The men are standing side by side as brethren in the gospel but they have a sweetheart by their side... their eternal companion.

25 Adam fell that men might be; and men are, that they might have joy.

Picture Description Scripture The “2” on the left is for 2nd book. The “N” in the middle is for Nephi. The “2” on the right is for chapter 2. In this scripture it tell is that men are free to choose eternal life or death and our choices ultimately decided where we will end up in this life. The 3 circles with the arrows represent the 3 degrees of glory. The bottom circle- Telestial, the middle circle – the Terrestrial & the Top circle – Celestial.

27 Wherefore, men are free according to the flesh; and all things are given them which are expedient unto man. And they are free to choose liberty and eternal life, through the great Mediator of all men, or to choose captivity and death, according to the captivity and power of the devil; for he seeketh that all men might be miserable like unto himself.

Learning

Learning is fine In 2 Nephi 9

Picture Description Scripture The verse reference is written in the professors’ hair, 2 Nephi 9. This scripture tells us that learning is of God. This man is a professor... see his bow tie! To become a professor he had to spend lots of time in study and he continues to learn so that he can teach his students. We too need to have a livelong pattern of learning and study.

28 O that cunning plan of the evil one! O the vainness, and the frailties, and the foolishness of men! When they are learned they think they are wise, and they hearken not unto the counsel of God, for they set it aside, supposing they know of themselves, wherefore, their wisdom is foolishness and it profiteth them not. And they shall perish. 29 But to be learned is good if they hearken unto the counsels of God.

Eat

Sinning isn’t great In 2 Nephi 28

Picture Description Scripture The “2” for 2nd book is in the bottle to the left. The “N” for Nephi is in the middle can shape. The “28” for the chapter is in the last two bottles on the right. This scripture explains how some will tell us that we can just eat, drink, be merry and die. The bottles and cans in this picture remind us of the “drink until we die” part of the scripture. But the Lords plan tells that this idea is false.

7 Yea, and there shall be many which shall say: Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we die; and it shall be well with us. 8 And there shall also be many which shall say: Eat, drink, and be merry; nevertheless, fear God -- he will justify in committing a little sin; yea, lie a little, take the advantage of one because of his words, dig a pit for thy neighbor; there is no harm in this; and do all these things, for tomorrow we die; and if it so be that we are guilty, God will beat us with a few stripes, and at last we shall be saved in the kingdom of God. 9 Yea, and there shall be many which shall teach after this manner, false and vain and foolish doctrines, and shall be puffed up in their hearts, and shall seek deep to hide their counsels from the Lord; and their works shall be in the dark.

The 32 for the chapter is in the talking bubble of the man and written on the pages of the scripture. This scripture tells us that we need to feast upon the words of Christ. This man is reading the scriptures and they tell give him the inspiration to know what to tell others. The lines around the man are the feeling of the spirit that lets him know that what he is teaching from the scripture is true.

Pray

Pray and do In 2 Nephi 32

Picture Description Scripture The “2” for the book is kneeling man on the left. The “N” for Nephi is in the middle. The “32” for the chapter is the little 3 followed by the kneeling 2 on the right. This scripture tells us that we need to pray to know what it is that we should do. We see the 2 missionaries (see their ties) kneeling in prayer as companions before they go off to work each day.

8 And now, my beloved brethren, I perceive that ye ponder still in your hearts; and it grieveth me that I must speak concerning this thing. For if ye would hearken unto the Spirit which teacheth a man to pray ye would know that ye must pray; for the evil spirit teacheth not a man to pray, but teacheth him that he must not pray. 9 But behold, I say unto you that ye must pray always, and not faint; that ye must not perform any thing unto the Lord save in the first place ye shall pray unto the Father in the name of Christ, that he will consecrate thy performance unto thee, that thy performance may be for the welfare of thy soul.

Riches

Richest for you In Jacob 2

Picture Description Scripture The “J” for Jacob is the left leg of the “R” in the word Riches. The “2” is the Rounded side of the R in the capital R that is attached to the J to make a capital R. This scripture tells us that before we seek riches we should seek for the kingdom of God. Then after we have received a hope in Christ we can obtain riches if we want them to do good with. The word riches is surrounded by dashed to indicate that if we have the spirit and testimony of Christ we will have riches.. Riches that the world cannot take from us!

18 But before ye seek for riches, seek ye for the kingdom of God. 19 And after ye have obtained a hope in Christ ye shall obtain riches, if ye seek them; and ye will seek them for the intent to do good -- to clothe the naked, and to feed the hungry, and to liberate the captive, and administer relief to the sick and the afflicted.

Children are always loving and trusting and would be comfortable in the presence of Christ.

19 For the natural man is an enemy to God, and has been from the fall of Adam, and will be, forever and ever, unless he yields to the enticings of the Holy Spirit, and putteth off the natural man and becometh a saint through the atonement of Christ the Lord, and becometh as a child, submissive, meek, humble, patient, full of love, willing to submit to all things which the Lord seeth fit to inflict upon him, even as a child doth submit to his father.

32 For behold, this life is the time for men to prepare to meet God; yea, behold the day of this life is the day for men to perform their labors. 33 And now, as I said unto you before, as ye have had so many witnesses, therefore, I beseech of you that ye do not procrastinate the day of your repentance until the end; for after this day of life, which is given us to prepare for eternity, behold, if we do not improve our time while in this life, then cometh the night of darkness wherein there can be no labor performed. 34 Ye cannot say, when ye are brought to that awful crisis, that I will repent, that I will return to my God.
