Page 23: 1 lending ssessment with nstruction rogram

23

This framework provides a clear overview depicting the concepts, skills, essential vocabulary, and application that will be covered in this lesson. The overview is aimed at providing you, the teacher, with important background information that is specific to the indicator. The purpose of this information is not to be integrated into your lesson directly, but serves to increase your instructional knowledge of the indicator.

Page 24: 1 lending ssessment with nstruction rogram

24

This framework first illustrates the prerequisite skills for understanding the outcomes associated with the indicator. These skills may not need to be covered in their entirety, but provide you, the teacher, with examples and instructional steps needed to review prior knowledge skills. Next, the lesson framework presents concrete examples and step-by-steps demonstrations for introducing and instructing students on the indicator. This framework can be printed in its entirety and any component can be used in your classroom instruction. Additionally, this framework provides PowerPoint slides that coincide with the teaching concepts, concrete examples, and step-by-step demonstrations for easy download.

25

This framework provides a downloadable handout with guided practice and independent practice that can be used to assess student learning. Additionally, the Application Framework provides you, the teacher, with guiding questions, additional concrete examples, open-ended assessment items and a grading rubric for providing assistance to students and for evaluating their work.

Page 26: 1 lending ssessment with nstruction rogram

26

This framework provides additional activities and strategies specific to the indicator that can be used for students in need of enrichment or who have special learning needs. These activities/strategies allow you, the teacher, to either expand the lesson for students who already have mastered the indicator or provide additional instruction/strategies for students who are struggling.
