1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,
nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the
scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD;
and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water,
that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also
shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth
shall prosper.
4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the
wind driveth away.
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation
of the righteous.
6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous:
but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
This Chapter Divides Us Into:
Saints & Sinners Righteous & Unrighteous
Children of God vs. Children of Devil
Where we fall in the divisions of this
chapter will define us for
ETERNITY
A Hebrew translation of the word UNGODLY is a “loose man; the man
who is loosed from God.”
Where sin is not denounced,
ungodliness will be tolerated.
Ungodliness is the original source of ALL
transgression.
Man’s ability to reason forces him to justify and
explain why he does what he knows is
wrong.
Because he is “loosed from God”, the ungodly is at the beck and call of EVERY kind of sin and
temptation.
The Hebrew word for BLESSED is literally translated “Oh, the happinesses of the
man…”
This is the state of one who is the recipient of a
superior’s favor.
Being BLESSED doesn’t always mean
happy, but it does mean a condition in which
God is concerned about you.
Being BLESSED doesn’t always mean happy or reference a particular blessing…
it is a QUALITY OF LIFE
I can’t choose everything, but I
CAN choose: Where to Walk Where to Stand
Where to Sit
I can hereby CHOOSE
my IDENTITY and my DESTINY!
